Overview

What the Lead Prosper Zapier integration is for

Lead Prosper is lead delivery software: it takes leads in, checks them, filters them and routes them to buyers. Zapier connects it to the rest of your tools in two directions. Leads can enter a Lead Prosper campaign from elsewhere, and leads it has processed can leave toward another app.

In practice that gives you three outcomes. A lead captured in some other tool lands in your Direct Post campaign without a manual upload, through Send Lead to Your Direct Post Campaign. A lead that Lead Prosper has just processed is copied to another app straight away, through New Lead. And because that trigger asks you to choose one or more lead statuses, you decide which processed leads travel and which stay put.

The good news for free-plan users: New Lead is an instant trigger, so nothing waits for a timer. The Zap starts the moment Lead Prosper reports the lead.

What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. There is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing lead or campaign before acting. There is no action to update, reroute or delete a lead once it is in. And campaign management stays inside Lead Prosper: Zapier only works with campaigns that already exist. If you are weighing tools for this kind of routing, the Make vs Zapier and n8n vs Zapier comparisons are the next stop.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary, the short version

Seven words do most of the work on this page.

Zap
An automation built on Zapier: one trigger, followed by one or more actions that run each time the trigger fires.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
The step the Zap carries out after it starts: writing, sending or moving something, like a lead into a campaign.
Task
What Zapier bills you for: one action completed successfully. Your plan's allowance is a count of tasks.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens. No waiting for Zapier's next scheduled check.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items and keeping only the ones it has not seen.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data matches a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Cost

What Lead Prosper Zaps cost

Lead Prosper is not a premium app, so it runs on Zapier's free plan.

  • Premium appNo, free plan works
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • New Lead triggerInstant, costs no task
  • BilledEach successful action

The New Lead trigger never costs a task. Each action that completes, whether it sends a lead into a campaign or copies one to another tool, counts as one task. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and two steps per Zap. Since New Lead is instant, the interval grid below does not slow it down on any plan. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.

Connect

Connect Lead Prosper to Zapier

  1. 01

    Start from the Apps page

Open the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. You need an existing Lead Prosper account, with access to the campaigns the Zap will work on.

  2. 02

    Find Lead Prosper

Search for Lead Prosper in the dialog that appears, select it and click Add connection. Zapier opens a separate tab where the Lead Prosper sign-in takes place.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Lead Prosper in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is stored once, then every Zap that uses Lead Prosper picks it from a list.

First Zap

Your first Lead Prosper Zap

GoalCopy every lead a Lead Prosper campaign processes into another tool, the moment it is processed.

  1. 01

Pick Lead Prosper as the start

Create a Zap, choose Lead Prosper as the app and New Lead as the event. Select your Lead Prosper connection so the Zap knows which account to listen to.

  2. 02

    Choose campaign and statuses

Pick the campaign to watch, then tick one or more lead statuses. Only leads processed with one of those statuses will start the Zap, so take a moment over this list.

  3. 03

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads from the account, so the fields you map next come from a real lead rather than a blank template.

  4. 04

Add the action in your other tool

Add an action step, choose the app where processed leads should land, and map the lead details coming from New Lead into its fields. Then test that step and check the result.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Because New Lead is instant, each processed lead is passed along as soon as Lead Prosper reports it.

Triggers

The Lead Prosper trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Lead Prosper, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Lead

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a lead was processed by your Lead Prosper campaign.”

Starts your Zap each time one of your Lead Prosper campaigns finishes processing a lead. You pick the campaign, and one or more lead statuses, so only the leads you care about move on to the next step.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when a processed lead should show up in another tool right away, without someone exporting it by hand.
Watch out
Campaign and Lead Status are both required, so a status you forget to tick never starts the Zap.
Actions

The Lead Prosper action

Lead Prosper gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Send Lead to Your Direct Post Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Sends a lead to your Direct Post Lead Prosper campaign.”

Pushes a lead from the earlier step into one of your Direct Post campaigns in Lead Prosper, with no file to upload.

When to use it
when leads are collected outside Lead Prosper and you want them distributed without uploading files.
Watch out
Mode is required. Keep it on test while you build, or test leads will reach real buyers.
When it breaks

When a Lead Prosper Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Lead Prosper, so these are the general failure points, applied to how this app works.

Most issues come down to leads that never arrive, or leads that arrive too many times. For reading a failed run step by step, see the Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Leads from before stay behind

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Leads processed earlier are not picked up; moving that history is a separate job.
  • A Zap that feeds itself

If the action writes into the very place the trigger watches, each run sets off the next one and burns through tasks quickly.
  • A big batch gets held

When a source suddenly returns a huge batch, for example after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • Test leads hit buyers

Building with Mode on Production means every test run sends a real lead. Switch to Production only after the Zap is confirmed working.

FAQ

Lead Prosper Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the Lead Prosper Zapier integration free?
Yes. Lead Prosper is not a premium app, so both its trigger and its action work on Zapier's free plan. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that sends leads into a campaign, or copies processed leads to one other tool, fits that shape. Adding a filter or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
02How many Zapier tasks does Lead Prosper use?
One task per action that completes. The New Lead trigger itself costs nothing, so a processed lead that starts your Zap only counts once the next step succeeds. Each lead sent into a Direct Post campaign is also one task. If an action fails, it is not counted. On the free plan, that means up to 100 leads moved per month across all your Zaps, before you need more room.
03Is the Lead Prosper trigger real time?
Yes. New Lead is an instant trigger: Lead Prosper tells Zapier the moment a campaign processes a lead, and the Zap starts straight away whatever your plan. The polling intervals, 15 minutes on Free down to 1 minute on Team and Enterprise, do not apply to it. You can spot it in the editor by the lightning bolt shown on instant triggers. The only delay left is the time your next step takes.
04What do you need to connect Lead Prosper to Zapier?
A Lead Prosper account, access to the campaigns you want the Zap to touch, and at least one Direct Post campaign if you plan to send leads in. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for Lead Prosper, then sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved once and every later Zap reuses it. If you only plan to listen to processed leads, the Direct Post campaign is not needed.
05How do you stop test leads from reaching buyers?
Use the Mode field on Send Lead to Your Direct Post Campaign. It is required, and setting it to test while you build the Zap keeps sample leads away from your buyers. Run your tests, check the result in Lead Prosper, then change Mode to Production and publish. Forgetting that last switch is the opposite problem: the Zap runs, but real leads stay in test. Check the Mode value one last time just before you click Publish.
06What if the Lead Prosper operation you need isn't on Zapier?
Then the integration cannot do it today. Zapier offers one trigger, New Lead, and one action, sending a lead into a Direct Post campaign. There is no search, no way to update or delete a lead, and no step that creates or edits campaigns. Anything beyond those two operations has to happen inside Lead Prosper itself, or through a route you confirm with Lead Prosper before building around it. It is better to know this before designing the whole process around the Zap.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lead Prosper?
Decide by criteria rather than by brand. Coverage first: on Zapier, Lead Prosper exposes one trigger and one action, so check what each tool offers for it before committing. Speed second: the New Lead trigger is instant on Zapier, even on the free plan. Shape third: a two-step Zap stays free, while filters or extra actions need a paid plan. Last, think about who will maintain it day to day.
