learnfrom Zapier integrationAutomate learnfrom with Zapier.
The learnfrom Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. Both triggers are instant, so a new enrolment or a changed email preference reaches your other tools straight away, even on the free plan. Here is what each one does, what it costs and where it trips.

What the learnfrom Zapier integration actually does
learnfrom is where you build, host and sell your online courses. Zapier is the glue between it and the rest of your tools. Plugged together, a student event in learnfrom can push data elsewhere, and a record elsewhere can send a course invite back, with nobody copying emails by hand.
Three results come out of this pairing. First, a live student list: Student Signs Up fires on every enrolment, so your spreadsheet or CRM gets the new name without an export by hand. Second, a clean marketing audience: Student Marketing Opt-In Changed fires when a student flips their marketing email preference, so your mailing tool can follow the choice instead of guessing. Third, invites without the admin panel: Invite Student to Course takes an email address and a course, so a row in a sheet or a form answer can turn into an invitation.
Now the limits. There is no search on learnfrom, so a Zap cannot look up an existing student or course before acting. There is a single action, the invite; anything else you do to a student stays a manual job inside learnfrom. And a Zap only sees what happens after you switch it on: past enrolments stay where they are.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words you will meet in the editor. Each one is explained once here, then used as is on the rest of the page.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for that event to show up.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's allowance is counted in tasks.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already stored in an app so later steps can use it. learnfrom offers none on Zapier.
What a learnfrom Zap really costs
learnfrom is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The trigger never costs a task: only an action that goes through is billed.
- TriggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
On the free plan you get 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like, but each Zap stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. Each action that succeeds counts on its own, so a three-action Zap uses three times the tasks of a one-action Zap. A failed action is not counted. The interval grid below is for polling triggers; both learnfrom triggers are instant, so it does not apply to them.
Connect learnfrom to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your learnfrom account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.
- 02
Pick learnfrom
Type learnfrom in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the learnfrom side for you to sign in.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to your learnfrom account in that tab and let Zapier access it. You need a learnfrom account, plus read or write rights on any course you do not own and want the Zap to touch.
Your first Zap: log each new student in a spreadsheet
GoalEvery learnfrom enrolment adds a row to your sheet, but only when it meets the condition you set.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a new Zap, pick learnfrom, then Student Signs Up. Testing it brings back the three most recent enrolments of the account, so you map on a real student.
- 02
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, add Filter, then fill the three boxes: the field, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text, so pick the right type.
- 03
Add the spreadsheet step
Add a step on your spreadsheet to create a new row, then map the student details coming from learnfrom into the columns you want filled.
- 04
Test every step
Run each step once and read what came back before going further. If a column stays empty, fix the mapping before you publish.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch it on. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan; drop the filter to stay on the free one.
learnfrom triggers on Zapier
2 events start a Zap when something happens in learnfrom, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Student Marketing Opt-In Changed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a student changes their marketing email preference for one of your courses.”
Each time a student switches their marketing email preference for one of your courses, this starts your Zap with that student and the new choice. It is the clean way to keep a mailing list in line with what people actually agreed to.
Student Signs Up
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new student enrolls in one of your courses.”
When someone enrols in one of your courses, this trigger hands their details to the next step. Think of it as the doorbell for your course: every new learner rings it once.
learnfrom actions on Zapier
learnfrom gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Invite Student to Course
ActionIn Zapier“Invite a student by email to one of your courses.”
Sends a course invitation to an email address you pass in from an earlier step. Both the student's email and the course are required, and the course comes from a list of yours.
When a learnfrom Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to learnfrom and lists no app-specific limit. What trips these Zaps are the general rules of Zapier.
Four cases cover most of the surprises. If your case is not here, head to Zapier troubleshooting.
Past students are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to events after you switch it on. Enrolments and opt-in changes from before stay where they are, so moving that history is a separate job.The Zap feeds itself
If a Zap writes into the very place its trigger watches, it sets itself off again and again and burns through your task count fast. Point the action somewhere the trigger does not watch.A bulk import gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back rather than run everything at once. The filter never lets anything pass
Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Pick the wrong type and the Zap stops at the filter every time.
