Mona AI Zapier integrationAutomate Mona AI with Zapier.
The Mona AI Zapier integration gives you 2 actions, 0 triggers and 0 searches. Mona AI never starts a Zap by itself: another app fires it, then Mona AI answers a prompt or hands back sales correspondence for the next step to use.

What the Mona AI Zapier integration does for you
Connecting Mona AI to Zapier puts Mona AI in the middle of an automation. Something happens in another app, Zapier passes a prompt to one of your Monari agents or pulls sales correspondence out of Mona AI, and the result moves on to whatever step comes next. Mona AI is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan.
An agent reply, produced without opening Mona AI. Get Monari Agent Response takes a prompt you assemble from the data of the step before, sends it to the agent you name, and returns that agent's answer. A spreadsheet row with a question in it is enough to start.
Sales correspondence, on hand for the next step. Get Sales Correspondence From Database fetches the sales correspondence Mona AI keeps, so a later step can file it or forward it. What exactly comes back is something to read at the test, not to guess.
Both in a row. Nothing stops you from chaining the two: first the correspondence, then a prompt that hands it to an agent. That is three steps, which makes it a multi-step Zap and puts it on a paid plan.
Now the part the app page leaves out. Mona AI has no trigger on Zapier, so nothing that happens inside Mona AI can start a Zap: the first step always belongs to another app. It has no search step either, and only these two actions, so creating or editing records in Mona AI is not something this integration offers. If you are still weighing the tool itself, see our Zapier review.
Zapier in one minute
Eight words carry the whole page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Mona AI has none, so another app plays this role.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or fetches something for you, like asking a Monari agent.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling or instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
- Connection
- Your Mona AI account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Mona AI.
What a Mona AI Zap really costs
Zapier bills completed actions, nothing else. The trigger of the other app costs no task, and neither does Zapier checking for new data.
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- BilledEach successful action, never the trigger
- Mona AI triggersNone, the Zap starts in another app
Each Mona AI action that goes through counts as one task; one that fails is not counted. Chain the two Mona AI actions and every run costs two tasks. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to one trigger and one action. A filter or a third step makes the Zap multi-step, so it moves to a paid plan. The grid below sets how often a polling trigger is checked; it only concerns the app that starts your Zap, since Mona AI has no trigger of its own.
Connect your Mona AI account in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Mona AI account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Mona AI
Type Mona AI in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Mona AI side, where the sign-in happens.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Mona AI in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is then stored once and offered again in every step that uses Mona AI.
Your first Zap: a spreadsheet question answered by an agent
GoalEach new row in your spreadsheet sends its question to a Monari agent, then the answer goes out by email.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap and pick your spreadsheet app with its new-row event as the trigger. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent rows, so you map on a real one.
- 02
Add the Mona AI action
Add Get Monari Agent Response, choose your Mona AI connection, and put the agent's ID in Agent ID. In Prompt, insert the question column from the row.
- 03
Send the answer on
Add your email tool as a third step and map the agent's reply into the message. Three steps make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Test each step
Run every step once and read what came back. Check at the test which field holds the agent's answer before you map it into the email.
- 05
Publish
Publish the Zap to switch it on. Only rows added after this moment will go through; the rows already in the sheet stay untouched.
The 2 Mona AI actions
Mona AI gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Get Sales Correspondence From Database
ActionIn Zapier“Gets the sales correspondence from the database.”
Pulls the sales correspondence stored in Mona AI into the Zap, where a later step can save it, forward it or pass it to an agent.
Get Monari Agent Response
ActionIn Zapier“Gets the Monari agent's response based on a user prompt”
Hands a prompt to one of your Monari agents and returns its reply as data the following steps can use, so a question raised elsewhere gets answered without anyone typing it into Mona AI.
When a Mona AI Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Mona AI, so the traps below are the general ones that apply to any Zap built around it.
These cases concern the first step, which belongs to another app, and where the result ends up. If you need a hand reading a failed run, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Nothing from before the Zap is picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Rows, messages or answers that already existed are ignored, and moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off again
If a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, it can start itself again and again and burn through your task count. Send the agent's reply somewhere else.A sudden flood is held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back. The same item does not run twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so one item does not start the Zap a second time.
