LearningStudioAI Zapier integrationAutomate LearningStudioAI with Zapier.
The LearningStudioAI Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. No event in LearningStudioAI starts a Zap, so another app does the starting. Then the three actions generate a course, wait for it and turn it into a SCORM package for your LMS.

What the LearningStudioAI Zapier integration actually does
LearningStudioAI generates a whole course from a topic you give it, then packages it in SCORM, the format learning management systems import. Zapier lets another tool hand it the topic and collect the result, so producing a course becomes a step in a workflow rather than a session in the app.
Three things you can get out of it. A course draft from a single line: Create Course takes a subject and starts the generation. A readiness check: Find Course takes the Job ID that Create Course returned and tells you whether the course is finished, with the full course data once it is. An LMS-ready file: Create SCORM Package turns a finished course into a package and hands back a download link.
Now the limits. LearningStudioAI has no trigger, so it cannot tell Zapier that a course is done: you have to ask with Find Course. Generation is not instant either. Create Course replies straight away with a Job ID, not with the course, and the app itself recommends a Delay step of about 2 minutes before checking. There is no search step, and no action to edit or delete a course. Every chain you build here is multi-step, so plan for a paid Zapier plan.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words you will meet in the editor, explained once here and used as is on the rest of the page.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. LearningStudioAI has none, so your Zap starts from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, here a course.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's allowance is a count of these.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by the app as it happens. It concerns your starting app.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a LearningStudioAI Zap really costs
LearningStudioAI is not a premium app, so it is available from the free plan. The trigger of your starting app never costs a task; each LearningStudioAI action that succeeds does.
- Starting triggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Full generate-and-export chainMulti-step, paid plan
The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is capped at two steps: one trigger and one action. That covers starting a course with Create Course, nothing more. Checking it with Find Course and exporting it with Create SCORM Package add actions, so the full chain is a multi-step Zap on a paid plan. Each successful action counts on its own, so trigger plus three actions means three tasks per course. A failed action is not counted. The interval grid below applies to your starting app if its trigger is a polling one.
Connect LearningStudioAI to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your LearningStudioAI account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.
- 02
Pick LearningStudioAI
Type LearningStudioAI in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the LearningStudioAI side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to LearningStudioAI in that tab and let Zapier access the account. You need a LearningStudioAI account, plus rights on any course you do not own and want the Zap to read or export.
Your first Zap: turn a spreadsheet row into a course
GoalEach new row in your sheet starts a LearningStudioAI course, waits for it to be generated, then checks that it is ready.
- 01
Start from your sheet
Create a Zap and set its trigger on your spreadsheet: a new row. Testing it brings back the three most recent rows, so you map on real content.
- 02
Add Create Course
Add a step, choose LearningStudioAI and Create Course. Map your topic column into Subject, the only required field. A precise subject gives a better course.
- 03
Insert the delay
Add Zapier's built-in Delay step after Create Course. The app's own guidance suggests about 2 minutes so the course has time to finish generating.
- 04
Add Find Course
Add Find Course and map the Job ID returned by Create Course. Once the course is ready, this step brings back the full course data.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and read what comes back, then click Publish. Four steps make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
LearningStudioAI actions on Zapier
LearningStudioAI gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Course
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new AI-powered course from a subject. Returns immediately with a Job ID; pair with a Delay step and "Find Course" to retrieve the finished course.”
Kicks off the generation of a full course from the subject you pass in. The step does not wait for the course: it answers at once with a Job ID that later steps use.
Create SCORM Package
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a SCORM package from a finished course. Returns a download URL ready to upload to any LMS. Pair after Find Course to ensure the course is fully generated.”
Turns a finished course into a SCORM package and returns a download link you can pass to the next step. The Course ID is required and comes from the output of Find Course.
Find Course
ActionIn Zapier“Finds a course by Job ID. When the course is ready, the response includes the full course data — ready to pass into Create SCORM Package.”
Despite its name, this is an action, not a search. Give it the Job ID from Create Course and it reports whether the course is ready; when it is, it returns the full course data.
When a LearningStudioAI Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to LearningStudioAI and lists no limit specific to the app. The cases below come from Zapier's general rules and from the order the three actions must follow.
Four cases cover most surprises. For anything else, see Zapier troubleshooting.
Earlier rows are not processed
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Topics already sitting in your sheet will not start a course; that backlog is a separate job.The Zap keeps restarting itself
If a Zap writes back into the place its trigger watches, such as adding a row to the sheet that starts it, it fires again and again and burns tasks.A bulk import is held back
When the starting trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. The export runs before the course is ready
Create Course answers with a Job ID, not a course. Without a Delay and Find Course in between, Create SCORM Package has no finished course to export.
