Overview

What the Leexi Zapier integration actually does

Leexi records your calls and video meetings, then transcribes, analyses and sums them up. Zapier is the bridge between apps: when something happens in one, it does something in another. Here, the only thing Leexi can tell Zapier is that a new recording exists.

That one signal is enough for a few useful outcomes, all built on New Recording. First, a running log: each new recording adds a line to a spreadsheet, so nobody has to keep a list of calls by hand. Second, a heads-up: a message lands in your team chat once Zapier spots the recording on its next check. Third, a follow-up task: a to-do appears in your task tool so the call does not get forgotten once it ends.

Now the part the app directory does not spell out. Zapier cannot write anything into Leexi: there is no action, so no Zap can create, edit or delete a recording there. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an older recording. And the trigger only sees recordings that appear after the Zap is switched on. Your archive of past calls stays where it is, and moving it is a separate job.

Vocabulary

Zapier words you will meet on this page

Seven terms cover everything below. Read them once, and the rest of the page uses them without a reminder.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it. For Leexi, it is a new recording.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
Polling means Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant means the app calls Zapier itself the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap with more than one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Leexi Zap really costs

Leexi is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. The bill depends on actions, never on how often Zapier looks.

  • TriggerFree, never counted
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan

The trigger never costs a task, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to find new recordings, however often they happen. Each action that succeeds counts once; an action that fails is not counted at all. So a Zap that sends each recording to one app uses one task per recording. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which means a paid plan.

Connect

Connect your Leexi account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Leexi account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that needs it.

  2. 02

Find Leexi and start the link

Type Leexi in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Leexi side so you can sign in there with your usual login.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Leexi in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. You need a Leexi account of your own, plus access to any recordings you do not own but want the Zap to see.

First Zap

Your first Zap: log each new recording in a spreadsheet

GoalEvery time Leexi has a new recording, add one line to a spreadsheet so the team keeps a list of calls without typing it.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Leexi as the app that starts it and New Recording as the event. Select the connection you set up a moment ago.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier fetches the three most recent recordings of the connected account, so you can pick a real one to build the rest of the Zap with.

  3. 03

    Add the spreadsheet action

Add the action step in your spreadsheet app and map the recording details from the test into the columns you want. Keep the Zap at two steps to stay on the free plan.

  4. 04

    Test, then publish

Test the action and check the new line in the sheet. If it looks right, click Publish. From now on, each new recording adds a line on its own.

Triggers

The Leexi trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Leexi. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Recording

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new recording is available.”

Starts your Zap once Leexi has a fresh recording ready, and hands what it knows about that recording to the steps that follow. It is the only door from Leexi into Zapier, so every Zap on this page begins here.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
whenever a finished call should leave a trace somewhere else, like a log, a message or a reminder.
Watch out
recordings that existed before the Zap was published are never picked up, so do not wait for last month's calls to come through.
When it breaks

When a Leexi Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to Leexi. What goes wrong comes from how Zapier itself works.

Four situations explain most surprises with a Zap built on New Recording. For a deeper diagnosis, the Zapier troubleshooting guide is the next page to open.

  • Old recordings never arrive

The Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Calls already in Leexi stay there, and moving them is a separate job.
  • A delay before anything happens

The trigger is polling: on the free plan, Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a new recording can wait a little before the Zap runs.
  • A big batch held back

If a large number of recordings show up at once, for example after an import, Zapier's flood protection can hold them back before they run.
  • The same recording twice? No

Zapier remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so one recording does not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

Leexi Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Leexi Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can use it on the free plan, because Leexi is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps, which is exactly one trigger and one action. A Zap that sends a new recording to one other app fits inside that. The moment you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and a paid plan is required. Zapier publishes its prices on its own pricing page, and they change often, so check there before you count on a figure.
02How many tasks does a Leexi Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds, and nothing else. The New Recording trigger never costs a task, and the checks Zapier runs to look for new recordings are free as well, however often they happen. So a Zap with one action uses one task per new recording. A Zap with three actions would use three per recording. An action that fails is not counted against your plan, though it still deserves a look so the recording does not go missing from the next app.
03Does the Leexi trigger work in real time?
No. New Recording is a polling trigger: Zapier goes and asks Leexi for new recordings on a timer instead of being told the moment they appear. On the free plan that check runs every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2 minutes, and on Team or Enterprise every minute. The type of trigger comes from the app itself and cannot be switched from the editor. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor when you do not want to wait.
04What does it take to connect a Leexi account?
A Leexi account, and access to the recordings the Zap should see. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Leexi and click Add connection again. A tab opens where you sign in to Leexi and allow Zapier in. The connection is then saved and reused by every Zap that starts from Leexi, so you only go through it once. If a recording belongs to someone else, make sure your account can actually read it.
05Why don't past Leexi calls show up in the Zap?
Because a Zap never looks back. It reacts only to recordings that appear after it is published, and everything already in Leexi is left out. This is how Zapier works for every app, not a fault of the Leexi connection. When you test the trigger, Zapier does fetch the three most recent recordings, but only so you can build the Zap on a real example. Moving older calls elsewhere has to be handled as a separate job.
06What if Leexi does not offer the operation you need?
Then Zapier cannot do it for you with this app today. The listing has one trigger and no action or search, so a Zap cannot create, change or look up a recording inside Leexi. What it can do is react to each new recording and act in other apps. If you need to push data into Leexi, the answer sits outside this integration, for instance in another automation tool. Until then, the trigger alone already covers a lot.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Leexi?
It depends on your criteria, not on a ranking. Zapier gives you a ready-made Leexi trigger and a short setup, which suits a team that wants a working Zap fast. The question to ask of any alternative is whether it has a Leexi connector at all, how often it checks for new recordings, and how it bills each run. Budget, how many steps your flow needs, and who will maintain it matter more than the brand. Compare those points before you commit.
