Overview

What the Let's Connect Zapier integration does for you

The Let's Connect Zapier integration links the Let's Connect widget on your site to the rest of your tools. Let's Connect lets you talk live with visitors while they are still on the page, which is when they are most likely to say yes. Zapier takes what comes out of those conversations and puts it where your team works, without anyone copying it over.

Three results come up again and again. A lead in your CRM: New Lead picks up each visitor who leaves contact details in the widget and turns them into a contact in your CRM, so your team sees them without opening another tool. A chat recap for the team: New Conversation Ended fires once a conversation closes and its lead form is saved, and a message in your team chat tells everyone it happened. A meeting on the calendar: New Meeting reports each meeting created in Let's Connect, and a matching event lands in your calendar app. The one action, Create Meeting, works the other way round and books a meeting in Let's Connect from another app.

What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. All four triggers are polling ones: Zapier checks on a timer, so on the free plan a hot lead can wait up to 15 minutes before it reaches the next app. There is no search, so a Zap cannot check whether a lead is already in Let's Connect, and the only action creates meetings, nothing else. If you are weighing other tools for this, see n8n vs Zapier and our Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words come back all over this page. Here is what each one means in plain terms.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger first, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts a Zap, such as a new lead in your widget. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One action that completes successfully counts as one task, and your plan allowance is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer that depends on your plan. An instant one is reported by the app itself. All four Let's Connect triggers poll.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it right there otherwise.
Connection
Your Let's Connect account, linked to Zapier one time and then reused by every Zap step that needs Let's Connect.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns a Zap into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Let's Connect Zap really costs

The four triggers never cost a task, and Zapier checking your widget for new leads, chats, meetings or visitors is free too, however often it looks.

  • Trigger cost0 tasks
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps
  • Premium appNo

What gets billed is each action that succeeds: one contact created, one message sent, one meeting booked with Create Meeting. An action that fails is not counted. A Zap with two actions spends twice as much per lead as a Zap with one. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: a trigger plus one action. Add a filter or a second action and you need a paid plan. Let's Connect is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. Since every trigger polls, the plan grid below sets how fast things move.

Connect

Connect Let's Connect to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

Sign in to Zapier and go to the Apps page of your account. Before you start, check that you have a Let's Connect account of your own, plus access to anything you do not own but want a Zap to read or write.

  2. 02

    Add Let's Connect

Click + Add connection, type Let's Connect in the search box of the dialog and pick it from the list. Then click Add connection: a new browser tab opens on the Let's Connect side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

In that tab, sign in to Let's Connect and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now sits on your Apps page, and every Zap step that uses Let's Connect reuses it without asking again.

First Zap

Your first Zap: send qualifying Let's Connect leads to your CRM

GoalEach new lead from the widget that passes your condition becomes a contact in your CRM.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and pick the trigger

In Zapier, start a new Zap, choose Let's Connect as the app that starts it and New Lead as the event. Select the Let's Connect connection you added earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real lead rather than an empty template.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Add a Filter step from the plus icon and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value. Pick a rule that matches the field type, or no lead ever gets through.

  4. 04

    Add the CRM action

Add the action in your CRM and map the lead's contact details into the matching fields. With a filter, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and check the contact in your CRM. Then click Publish. From then on, Zapier checks for new leads at your plan's interval and sends on the ones that pass.

Triggers

The four Let's Connect triggers

4 events start a Zap when something happens in Let's Connect. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Conversation Ended

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new conversation is ended and a new lead form is saved.”

Fires once a chat in your widget is over and its lead form has been saved, so the Zap starts at the natural end of the exchange rather than halfway through.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
you want a recap posted for the team, or a follow-up queued, only after the visitor has finished talking.
Watch out
a chat that ends without a saved lead form does not match the description of this trigger, so test it with a real conversation.
2

New Lead

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead leave a contact data.”

Picks up each visitor who leaves contact details through the widget and hands them to your next step, ready to be filed in a CRM or a sheet.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
your team wants every new contact in the tool they already live in, without exporting anything from Let's Connect.
Watch out
leads captured before you publish the Zap are not sent; Zapier also remembers what it has seen, so the same lead does not start the Zap twice.
3

New Meeting

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new meeting is created.”

Reports every meeting created in Let's Connect, which makes it the natural starting point for copying bookings into the calendar your team checks.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
meetings are booked from the widget and you want each one mirrored in a calendar or a task list.
Watch out
if another Zap creates meetings with Create Meeting, this trigger will see those too; keep the two Zaps from feeding each other or they loop.
4

New Business Visitor

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new business visitor has visited the site.”

Signals that a new business visitor has been on your site, before any chat or form, so you hear about interest that has not turned into a conversation yet.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
you keep a list of companies showing interest and want each visit added to it as it is spotted.
Watch out
busy sites can produce many visitors, and every action they set off costs a task, so a filter is worth adding early.
Actions

The Let's Connect action

Let's Connect gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Meeting

Action

In Zapier“Create a new meeting.”

Books a new meeting in Let's Connect from data that arrived in an earlier step, with its name, start date and duration.

When to use it
a booking happens in another app, such as a form, and you want it to show up in Let's Connect too.
Watch out
all three fields are required, the date must be in ISO format, and the duration is counted in minutes.
When it breaks

When a Let's Connect Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Let's Connect, and no rate limit is documented for it. The risks are the general ones every Zap runs into, plus one that this app makes easy.

None of them shows up as a big red error at first. They show up as leads that never reach the CRM, a task count that drops faster than planned, or a Zap that looks on but does nothing. When one of them hits, start with Zapier troubleshooting.

  • Earlier leads never come through

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads, chats and meetings from before you published stay in Let's Connect; moving them is a separate job.
  • New Meeting and Create Meeting in a loop

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches sets itself off again and again. A meeting created by one Zap and read by another is the classic setup for it.
  • A sudden flood gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item.
  • No duplicates on the same lead

On polling triggers like these four, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same lead or visitor does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

Let's Connect and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Let's Connect Zapier integration free?
Yes, on Zapier's free plan. Let's Connect is not a premium app, so you can connect it without paying for Zapier. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one of the four triggers, such as New Lead, plus one action, for example a contact in your CRM. As soon as you add a filter to keep only some leads, or a second action like a message to your team after the contact is created, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. Triggers never cost a task, so only the actions that succeed count.
02How many tasks does a Let's Connect Zap use?
One task per successful action, per item. The triggers are free, and so is Zapier checking for new items. If 40 leads come in during a month and each one becomes a CRM contact, that is 40 tasks. Add a team message for each lead and the same 40 leads cost twice as much. An action that fails is not counted. New Business Visitor can be the busiest of the four triggers on a well-visited site, so check how many visitors you get before you hang several actions off it. On the free plan, 100 tasks go quickly.
03Is the Let's Connect integration real time?
No. All four triggers are polling ones: Zapier checks Let's Connect at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan, every 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. A lead captured right after a check waits for the next one. On paid plans the frequency can be changed, and a check can be run by hand from the editor. If speed on hot leads matters to you, the plan is what moves the needle here, since the trigger type is set by the app and cannot be changed from the editor.
04What does connecting Let's Connect to Zapier require?
A Let's Connect account, a Zapier account, and access to anything you do not own but want a Zap to read or write. The steps: open the Apps page in Zapier, click + Add connection, search for Let's Connect and pick it, then click Add connection. A tab opens where you sign in to Let's Connect and grant Zapier access. The connection then sits on the Apps page and every Zap reuses it. For Create Meeting, have a name, a start date in ISO format and a duration in minutes available from the earlier steps.
05Why does Create Meeting fail on the date?
Because the date field expects the standard ISO format, and many apps send dates written another way. Create Meeting has three required fields, the name, the start date and the duration in minutes, and a date in the wrong shape leaves the step unable to book anything. Map the date from the earlier step, then run the test and read what Let's Connect sent back. If the incoming date is in another format, it has to be reshaped before it reaches this action. Also check that the duration you pass is a number of minutes, not hours.
06What if the Let's Connect operation you need is not on Zapier?
Then it is not available through Zapier for this app right now. The editor lists five Let's Connect operations: four triggers, New Conversation Ended, New Lead, New Meeting and New Business Visitor, plus one action, Create Meeting. There is no search and no action to create or update a lead. For those parts of the job, the options are to handle them inside Let's Connect or to look at what other automation tools offer for the same app. Write down the exact result you are after first: the four triggers often cover more than it seems.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Let's Connect?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. Coverage: on Zapier, Let's Connect offers four polling triggers and one action, so check what each tool lists for the app before choosing. Speed: every trigger here polls, so the plan interval decides how fast a lead moves on. Cost: on Zapier every successful action is a task, so estimate your monthly leads and visitors and multiply by the number of actions. Complexity: a two-step Zap fits the free plan, while a filter or extra actions need a paid plan. Run the same checks on each tool with your own numbers.
