Listclean Zapier integrationAutomate Listclean with Zapier.
The Listclean Zapier integration gives you 1 action, 0 triggers and 0 searches. That single action checks one email address each time another app hands it over. Here is what it does, what it costs in tasks, and where a first Zap usually trips.

Why plug Listclean into Zapier
The Listclean Zapier integration lets another app pass an email address to Listclean, which checks it and returns a verdict you can act on. Listclean has no trigger of its own, so the Zap always starts somewhere else: a form, a CRM, a spreadsheet. Listclean is the step in the middle.
Three results come out of that one action, Email Verification. The first is a cleaner sign-up list: every address typed into a form gets checked before anyone writes to it. The second is a warning in the place your team already looks, once you add a step after the check that posts or files what Listclean answered. The third is a record of the check itself, sitting next to the contact, so nobody has to re-test the same address by hand.
Now the part the app page skips. Listclean on Zapier does one job, on one address at a time. It does not watch your list, it does not start a Zap, and it cannot look up a past result for you. If your old list needs cleaning, that is a separate job: a Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on.
The other catch is the plan. Checking an address and then doing something with the answer means two actions, and a Zap with two actions is a multi-step Zap, which the free plan does not build. Plan for that before you design the flow.

Zapier words in one minute
Seven words come back on this page. Here is each one, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Listclean has none, so yours comes from another app, like a form or a CRM.
- Action
- The step that does the work once the Zap has started. Here, it is Listclean checking one email address for you.
- Task
- What Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. Your plan's allowance is a count of those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap that goes beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Listclean Zap really costs
Zapier bills tasks, and a task is one action that succeeds. The trigger never costs anything, and neither does Zapier checking for new data, however often it looks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan ZapsTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, Listclean works on the free plan
- Trigger costNever a task
So one address sent to Email Verification is one task, as long as the check goes through. An action that fails is not counted against your plan. Add a second action to store or route the answer and that address now costs two tasks. Listclean is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan, but that plan builds two-step Zaps only. Any filter, search or extra action turns the Zap into a multi-step one and needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only applies to the trigger of the other app, since Listclean has no trigger.
Connect your Listclean account
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need a Listclean account before you start, plus access to wherever the addresses to check are stored.
- 02
Find Listclean
Type Listclean in the search box of the dialog that opens, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Listclean side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to Listclean in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is then saved once and reused by every Zap step that calls Listclean.
Your first Listclean Zap
GoalCheck every new form sign-up with Listclean, then save the address and the answer in your spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap. Remember this one has two actions, so it is multi-step and needs a paid plan. On the free plan, keep only the first two cards.
- 02
Pick the trigger
Choose your form tool and its new-submission event. Listclean cannot start a Zap, so the trigger always belongs to the app where addresses arrive.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map fields on a real sign-up rather than a blank.
- 04
Add Email Verification
Add a Listclean step and pick Email Verification. Map the email field from the form into the required address field. Test it once and read what comes back.
- 05
Store the answer
Add the spreadsheet step and map both the address and the Listclean answer into the new row. Test it, then click Publish to switch the Zap on.
The Listclean action
Listclean gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

ActionIn Zapier“Validate an Email using Listclean.xyz”
Sends one email address to Listclean and gets back its verdict, so the next step can sort good addresses from the rest.
When a Listclean Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Listclean, and no limit specific to the app is on record. What breaks is the Zap around it.
These four cases come from how every Zap behaves, and each one hits a Listclean flow in its own way. Read them before you publish, not after the task count drops.
Your old list is never checked
A Zap reacts only to what happens after you switch it on. Addresses already in your list stay untouched, and cleaning that backlog is a separate job.The Zap keeps firing itself
If the last step writes back into the very sheet or list the trigger watches, each write starts the Zap again and burns through your tasks.A bulk import gets held back
When the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of checking them all.Same contact, checked once
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice. A contact already seen is not checked again.
