Loop Zapier integrationAutomate Loop with Zapier.
The Loop Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. The one action, Send Survey, sends a Loop survey to the email address an earlier step hands it. Loop never starts a Zap itself, so another app always goes first and supplies that address.

What the Loop Zapier integration actually does
Loop, the Loop Experience Platform, collects feedback and handles messaging for businesses that operate across physical locations. Through Zapier, a Zap (an automation you set up once) can send a Loop survey to someone by email whenever another app you use records a new person or event.
One action, but three useful outcomes. A survey that follows a new contact: when someone is added to your CRM, Send Survey emails them a Loop survey without anyone copying the address by hand. A feedback request tied to a real event: any app that records an email address, such as a form, can be the starting point, so the survey goes out because something actually happened. A survey list nobody keeps by hand: once the Zap runs, nobody has to remember who still needs a survey.
What Zapier does not do with Loop matters just as much. There is no trigger: a survey answer in Loop cannot start a Zap, so responses do not flow back into your other tools through Zapier. There is no search, and no action besides sending. The integration pushes surveys out; reading the feedback stays inside Loop. Plan your other steps with that in mind: nothing comes back to the Zap once the email has left.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words keep coming back on this page. Here they are in plain language.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Loop has none, so another app takes this role.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, here sending a Loop survey.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's allowance counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- Zapier checks a polling trigger on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Loop Zap really costs
Zapier bills tasks, and a task is an action that worked. The trigger costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to find new data.
- Loop premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- One survey sentOne task
- Failed actionNot billed
Each Send Survey that succeeds is one task; one that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses. Loop is not a premium app, so the free plan takes it: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, two steps per Zap. A trigger from another app followed by Send Survey fits. Add a filter, say to survey only some contacts, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below sets how often Zapier checks a polling trigger. Loop has no trigger of its own, so the grid applies to the app that starts your Zap, when its trigger is a polling one.
Connect Loop to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A connection is your Loop account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Loop step in your Zaps.
- 02
Pick Loop in the dialog
Search for Loop in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. Use the Loop account that should send the surveys, since every Send Survey step will rely on it.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A new tab opens on Loop. Sign in with your Loop account, then grant Zapier access. Back in the editor, the connection is listed in the account menu of the Send Survey step.
Your first Loop Zap
GoalWhen a new contact is added to your CRM, send them a Loop survey at the email address stored on the contact.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap and choose your CRM with its new contact event. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent contacts, so you map fields on a real one.
- 02
Add Send Survey
Click the plus icon, choose Loop, then
Send Survey. Select your Loop connection and map the contact's email address into the step. - 03
Post a note to the team
Optionally add a chat action that says who was surveyed. A second action makes the Zap multi-step, so keep it only on a paid plan.
- 04
Test with your own address
Test Send Survey once using your own email first, so no real contact receives a test, and read what came back before going further.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From then on, each new contact in your CRM receives the survey; earlier ones do not.
The Loop action
Loop gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Send Survey
ActionIn Zapier“Sends a survey to the provided email.”
Emails a Loop survey to the address you map from an earlier step, so feedback requests leave as soon as the trigger fires.
When a Loop Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Loop and documents no limit specific to the app. What goes wrong comes from Zapier's general rules.
Three cases cover most surprises with a survey Zap. For anything else, see Zapier troubleshooting.
Earlier contacts get no survey
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Contacts already in your CRM are not picked up; surveying them is a separate job.A bulk import holds runs back
When your trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back. The same contact is not surveyed twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers the items it has already seen, so one contact never starts the Zap a second time.
