Overview

What the Lusha Connect Zapier integration gives you

The Lusha Connect Zapier integration adds data to the leads moving through your other tools. Lusha Connect enriches contacts and companies, finds new prospects that resemble your best customers, and reports signals such as hiring or job changes. On Zapier it has six actions and five searches, but no trigger: another app always opens the Zap.

Three results cover most of what people build. A complete company profile: a domain dropped in a spreadsheet goes through Search and Enrich Companies or Enrich Companies, and comes back with industry, employee count, location, social links and funding info. A list of new targets: Company Lookalikes takes at least 5 seed domains or LinkedIn URLs of customers you like and returns up to 100 similar companies. A reason to get in touch: Get Contact Signals flags job changes and promotions for the people you follow, and Get Company Signals does the same for hiring, headcount, web traffic, IT spend and news.

What Zapier does not do here deserves the same attention. Lusha Connect has no trigger, so a new signal or a new lookalike never starts a Zap on its own; you have to ask, from a step placed after another app. No search offers a find-or-create variant, so nothing is created in Lusha when a lookup comes back empty. And the five searches make any Zap multi-step, which rules out the free plan for them.

Before wiring this into your outreach, see our Zapier review and the comparison Make vs Zapier.

Vocabulary

Zapier words you will meet here

Eight terms come back on this page. Each one is explained once, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. Lusha Connect offers none, so the first step always comes from another app.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started. With Lusha Connect, actions enrich companies, find lookalikes or fetch signals.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. Your plan counts tasks, not Zaps or checks.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by its app as soon as the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists, so the steps after it can use what it found. Lusha Connect has five.
Connection
Your Lusha Connect account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that calls Lusha.
Cost

What a Lusha Connect Zap costs on Zapier

Lusha Connect is not a premium app, so its six actions work on the free plan. Each action that completes, an enrichment or a list of signals, counts as one Zapier task.

  • Premium appNo, actions usable on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • BilledOne task per action that completes
  • Paid plan neededAny search step or filter

The trigger in your other app costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to spot new items. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only. That is the catch with Lusha Connect: its five searches, and any filter, turn a Zap into a multi-step Zap, so they need a paid plan. The interval grid below applies to the starting app when its trigger is a polling one; Lusha Connect has no trigger, and an instant trigger elsewhere never waits on this grid.

Connect

Connect Lusha Connect to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open Apps

In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A dialog with a search box appears. You need a Lusha Connect account before going further, since the Zap acts through it.

  2. 02

    Pick Lusha Connect

Type Lusha Connect, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Lusha side. Sign in with the account whose data and access the Zap should use.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Allow Zapier to work with that account. The connection then shows in your Apps list, and all eleven Lusha Connect steps reuse it, so you only do this once.

First Zap

Your first Lusha Connect Zap

GoalEach company domain added to your spreadsheet comes back filled in with its Lusha profile, on the same row.

  1. 01

    Start the Zap

Create a new Zap with your spreadsheet as the trigger app and its new-row event. Lusha Connect cannot start a Zap, so the opening step always belongs to another tool.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the connected sheet, so you map the next steps on a real domain rather than an empty sample.

  3. 03

    Add the Lusha search

Add a step, pick Lusha Connect, then Search and Enrich Companies under the search heading. Map the domain from the row into it, then decide what happens when nothing is found.

  4. 04

    Write the result back

Add a spreadsheet step that updates the row with what Lusha returned, such as industry or employee count. With a search inside, this Zap needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test and publish

Test each step and check the row. Then click Publish. Only rows added after publishing go through Lusha; older rows stay as they are.

Actions

The Lusha Connect actions

Lusha Connect gives you 6 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Company Lookalikes

Action

In Zapier“Find more companies that look like your best customers using Lusha's AI-powered lookalike engine. Provide at least 5 seed company domains or LinkedIn URLs to get up to 100 matching company recommendations.”

Feeds Lusha a handful of customers you already like and gets back companies that resemble them. You give at least 5 seed domains or LinkedIn URLs and receive up to 100 recommendations.

When to use it
your target list is running thin and you want more accounts of the same kind.
Watch out
fewer than 5 seeds and the step has too little to work from.
2

Contact Lookalikes

Action

In Zapier“Find contacts that look like your best customers using AI powered systems.”

Does for people what Company Lookalikes does for accounts: it suggests contacts who resemble your best customers. The matching runs on Lusha's side; your Zap only receives the suggestions.

When to use it
you know the profile of buyers who said yes and want to find more like them.
Watch out
each run is an action, so it counts as one task when it succeeds.
3

Enrich Companies

Action

In Zapier“Enrich one or more companies with detailed firmographic data from Lusha. Provide Company IDs, Domains, or Names — the action returns full company profiles including industry, employee count, location, social links, and funding info.”

Turns a company ID, a domain or a name into a full profile, with industry, employee count, location, social links and funding info. It works on one company or several at once.

When to use it
a lead arrives with only a website, and you want the rest before anyone calls.
Watch out
you need at least one identifier per company, or there is nothing to match.
4

Prospect Contacts by ICP

Action

In Zapier“Prospecting Contacts Enrich action provides the enriched contact information based on the Prospecting Contacts Search results.”

Reveals the enriched details of contacts that a prospecting search has already surfaced. ICP stands for ideal customer profile, the description of who you want to reach. This is the step that turns previews into usable contacts.

When to use it
after Search Contacts, once you know which people are worth the reveal.
Watch out
partial profiles are included unless you switch that option off, and do-not-call contacts can be excluded.
5

Get Company Signals

Action

In Zapier“Pull hiring activity, headcount changes, web traffic, IT spend, and news for a list of companies.”

Pulls the latest movements for a list of companies: hiring activity, headcount changes, web traffic, IT spend and news. It answers the question of which accounts are moving right now.

When to use it
you track a list of target accounts and want to know which one just started hiring.
Watch out
Signal Types is required; choose All Signals if you want the full picture.
6

Get Contact Signals

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve signals for contacts. Each contact can be identified by: (1) Contact ID, (2) LinkedIn URL, (3) Email address, or (4) Full name + Company (name or domain)”

Reports job changes and promotions for the contacts you list. Each person can be identified by Lusha contact ID, LinkedIn URL, email address, or full name plus company.

When to use it
a champion of yours moves to a new company, and you want to hear about it.
Watch out
Signal Types is required here as well, so the step fails without it.
Searches

The Lusha Connect searches

5 search steps look for data that already exists in Lusha Connect, so a later step can use it.

A search step looks something up and hands what it found to the next steps. In the editor, Lusha's searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Each one makes your Zap multi-step, so they need a paid plan. Three settings decide what happens after the lookup.

1

Enrich Contacts

Search

In Zapier“Enrich Contacts action provides detailed contact information.”

Looks up a person in Lusha and returns detailed contact information for the steps that follow. It is the quickest way to complete a lead that arrived with only part of the picture.

When to use it
a form gives you a name and company, and the next step needs more.
Watch out
by default, no match stops the Zap; change the setting if the following steps should still run.
4

Search and Enrich Companies

Search

In Zapier“Find companies and reveal their full data in a single call. Combines Search and Enrich into one request.”

Finds companies and reveals their full data in one go, instead of a search followed by a separate enrichment. One step does the work of two.

When to use it
a row or form gives you a company, and you want its complete profile right away.
Watch out
a company that is not found stops the Zap unless you allow empty results.
5

Search and Enrich Contacts

Search

In Zapier“Find contacts and reveal their full data in a single call. Combines Search and Enrich into one request.”

The people version of the step above: it finds contacts and reveals their full data in a single step, without a separate reveal afterwards.

When to use it
you want one compact step that turns a lead into a complete contact.
Watch out
with several matches, decide whether to keep the first, stop, or pass them all on.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that depended on it. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
This box turns a search into a find-or-create. Zapier lists no such variant for Lusha Connect, so do not count on a search to create the missing record.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out: keep the first match, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all the matches on at once.
When it breaks

When a Lusha Connect Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Lusha Connect, and the app page lists no limit of its own. What breaks comes from Zapier's general behavior and from the required inputs of a few Lusha steps.

Six cases cover what you are most likely to meet, from an empty lookup to a missing setting. If a Zap still fails after this, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • An empty search stops the Zap

By default, a Lusha search that finds nothing ends the run there, and the steps that depended on it are skipped. Switch on Successful if no search results are found? to carry on.
  • Only the first match is kept

When several contacts or companies match, the default keeps the first one. If the wrong record comes through, change If multiple search results are found? instead.
  • Signal Types left empty

Get Company Signals and Get Contact Signals require Signal Types. Without it, the step has nothing to fetch and fails.
  • Too few lookalike seeds

Company Lookalikes expects at least 5 seed company domains or LinkedIn URLs. Fewer than that and the step has too little to base its suggestions on.
  • Old leads are not processed

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is published. Rows or form answers from before stay untouched; enriching that backlog is a separate job.
  • A sudden batch can be held back

If the starting app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.

FAQ

Lusha Connect Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Lusha Connect Zapier integration free?
Partly. Lusha Connect is not a premium app, so a two-step Zap with one of its six actions runs on the free plan, within 100 tasks a month. The searches are another story: a search step makes the Zap multi-step, and multi-step Zaps need a paid plan. So Enrich Companies after a new row works for free, while Search and Enrich Contacts in the same place does not. You also need your own Lusha account.
02How many tasks does a Lusha Connect Zap use?
One task for each action that completes. Enrich Companies, Get Company Signals and the other actions count one task per successful run, whatever data they bring back. The trigger in your other app costs nothing, nor do Zapier's checks for new items. A failed action is not counted. Each extra action in the Zap, such as writing the result back to your spreadsheet, counts on its own, so a Zap with three actions uses three tasks per run.
03Does Lusha Connect work in real time?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, because Lusha Connect has no trigger. A new signal in Lusha never starts anything by itself. If the starting app has an instant trigger, it reports each new item to Zapier right away, on any plan. If it relies on polling, Zapier checks it on a timer: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. Lusha then runs when the Zap reaches its step.
04What does it take to connect Lusha Connect?
A Lusha Connect account you can sign in to, with access to what the Zap should use. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Lusha Connect, click Add connection, sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved and reused by all eleven steps. Before building, prepare the inputs some steps require: Signal Types for the two signal actions, and at least 5 seeds for Company Lookalikes.
05Why does a Lusha Connect search stop the Zap?
Because nothing matched and the setting was left on its default. When Successful if no search results are found? is off, an empty Lusha search ends the run and skips every step that relied on it. Switch it on if the rest of the Zap should continue without the data. Also check If multiple search results are found?, which keeps only the first match by default and can pass on the wrong record.
06What if the Lusha Connect operation you need is missing?
Then Zapier does not offer it today, and no setting will add it. The catalog holds six actions and five searches, and no trigger, so nothing in Lusha can start a Zap on its own, and no search creates a record when it finds nothing. Rework the flow around the steps that exist, keep that part manual, or check whether another automation tool covers it. The Zapier app page lists what the editor shows.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lusha Connect?
Compare them on what each can reach in Lusha and on how they bill, not on a general ranking. On Zapier you get eleven steps with no trigger, actions usable on the free plan, and searches that require a paid plan. If enriching leads from a form or a sheet is the goal, that is enough. If you plan many lookups per run, check which Lusha operations Make or n8n list and how each counts them.
