Lingoes.ai Zapier integration: 0 triggers, 2 actions, 0 searches. Lingoes.ai reads raw text and hands back a label. On Zapier it never starts anything by itself: another app brings the text in, Lingoes.ai classifies it, and the next step uses the answer.

Overview

What the Lingoes.ai Zapier integration does

With the Lingoes.ai Zapier integration, a Zap (one automation you build once on Zapier) sends a piece of text to Lingoes.ai and gets back the most likely label for it. Lingoes.ai has no trigger, the event that starts a Zap, so the text always comes from another app first. Here Lingoes.ai is an action: the step that does the work once the Zap is running.

Three things you can get out of it. A mood tag on every incoming email: Classify Text With Lingoes.ai Ready Model with positive, negative and neutral as labels, so the unhappy messages stand out from the pile. A topic tag on documents, using the same action with categories you write in plain words. And a label from a model your team trained in Lingoes.ai, through Classify Text With Your Custom NLP Models, for the cases where generic labels are too coarse.

What Zapier does not do here. It cannot watch Lingoes.ai for anything, because the app offers no trigger. It cannot look anything up in it either: there is no search. And it does not train or edit models; the custom action works only with models your team has already trained in Lingoes.ai. Everything about building a model stays in Lingoes.ai.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words you will see in the editor, in ordinary English.

Zap
One automation on Zapier: a trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts a Zap. Lingoes.ai has none, so another app always plays this part.
Action
The step that does something once the Zap is running. Both Lingoes.ai operations are actions that return a label.
Task
What Zapier counts on your plan: one action that completes successfully. An action that fails is not counted.
Polling vs instant
Polling: Zapier asks the source app for new items on a timer. Instant: the app tells Zapier the moment something happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived matches the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Lingoes.ai account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that calls Lingoes.ai in any Zap.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns a Zap into one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Lingoes.ai Zap really costs

Short version: the trigger is free, and each Lingoes.ai classification that goes through is one task.

  • Trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful classification1 task
  • Action that fails0 tasks
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap

Zapier bills tasks: an action that succeeds. Watching for new emails or rows costs nothing, and a failed action is not counted. Lingoes.ai is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, two steps per Zap. Classify, then store the label, is two actions: that Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan, like any filter. The grid below only applies if the app that brings the text uses a polling trigger; Lingoes.ai has none, and an instant trigger skips it whatever your plan.

Connect

Connect Lingoes.ai to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

Open Apps and add a connection

In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box. Have your Lingoes.ai account ready: Zapier only links an account that already exists.

  2. 02

    Pick Lingoes.ai

Type Lingoes.ai in the search box, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Lingoes.ai side, and that is where the actual sign-in happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to Lingoes.ai in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then appears in your list, and every Lingoes.ai step of every Zap can reuse it.

First Zap

Your first Zap: tag the mood of incoming emails

GoalEvery new email goes through Lingoes.ai, a filter checks the label it got, and the ones that pass land in a spreadsheet row.

  1. 01

    Build: start from your inbox

Create a Zap and pick your email app as the trigger, with its new-email event. Lingoes.ai cannot be the first step, so the text has to come from somewhere else.

  2. 02

Test the trigger on a real email

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent emails of the connected account, so you map fields from a real message instead of a guess.

  3. 03

    Add the Lingoes.ai action

Add Classify Text With Lingoes.ai Ready Model. Map the email body into Text, then type positive, negative and neutral, one label per field.

  4. 04

Add the filter, then the row

Add a filter: the field is the label Lingoes.ai returned, then pick a rule and a value. After it, a spreadsheet step writes the email and its label into a new row.

  5. 05

    Test each step, then publish

Test each step once and read what came back, then click Publish to switch the Zap on. With a filter and two actions, this one needs a paid plan.

Actions

Lingoes.ai actions on Zapier

Lingoes.ai gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Classify Text With Your Custom NLP Models

Action

In Zapier“Classify text with your custom NLP models trained on Lingoes.ai NLP service.”

Sends a piece of text to one of the NLP models trained in your Lingoes.ai account and returns the label that model picks. You choose the model from a list, then map the text to classify from an earlier step.

When to use it
your categories are specific to your business and a trained model already knows them.
Watch out
both fields are required, and the model has to be trained in Lingoes.ai before this step can use it.
2

Classify Text With Lingoes.ai Ready Model

Action

In Zapier“Ready multilingual and multi-domain NLP model for classifying your texts with class labels defined by you. Can be used for multiple different classification use cases like sentiment analysis, category identification, and intent detection. Just specify possible class labels in descriptive format as in human's natural language (e.g. "positive", "negative", "neutral" for sentiment analysis), and the model gives you the most probable label.”

No training here: a ready multilingual model reads your text and picks the most probable label among the ones you typed in plain words. The labels are the whole setup.

When to use it
sentiment on incoming emails, sorting documents by category, or spotting the intent behind a message.
Watch out
Text and Possible class labels are both required; enter each label in its own field, without quotes.
When it breaks

When a Lingoes.ai Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Lingoes.ai, so the traps come from how Zapier itself works.

Four cases come back again and again once a classification step sits in the middle of a Zap. None is specific to Lingoes.ai, and each one costs tasks or leaves texts unlabeled. If a Zap stops for a reason you cannot place, head to Zapier troubleshooting.

  • Old emails are never classified

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Texts already sitting in your inbox or sheet stay unlabeled; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The Zap that feeds itself

If the last step writes the label back into the place the trigger watches, each write can start the Zap again, and every loop burns another task.
  • A bulk import gets held back

After an import or a migration, the trigger app can return a huge batch at once. Zapier's flood protection can hold it back rather than classify it all.
  • No double classification

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers the items it has already seen, so the same email or row does not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

Lingoes.ai and Zapier: frequent questions

01Is the Lingoes.ai Zapier integration free?
Yes, on the Zapier side. Lingoes.ai is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The limit people miss is the shape of the Zap: the free plan allows two steps, one trigger and one action. A Zap that starts in your email app and runs one Lingoes.ai classification fits. Add a filter, a second action to store the label, or a search, and it becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. What Lingoes.ai charges on its own side is not covered by this page.
02How many Zapier tasks does a Lingoes.ai classification use?
One per text classified successfully. Zapier counts a task each time an action completes, and each Lingoes.ai operation is one action. The trigger that brings the text in costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to find new items. An action that fails is not counted. Every action after the classification counts on its own, so classify then write a row means two tasks per email. A Zap that writes back into the place its own trigger watches can multiply that count quickly.
03Does Lingoes.ai work in real time with Zapier?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, because Lingoes.ai has no trigger of its own. The classification runs as soon as the Zap reaches it. If the starting app has an instant trigger, it tells Zapier the moment something happens, whatever your plan. If it uses a polling trigger, Zapier checks it on a timer whose interval depends on your plan. Look at the trigger of your email or spreadsheet app, not at Lingoes.ai, to know how fast the label arrives.
04What does it take to connect Lingoes.ai to Zapier?
A Lingoes.ai account you can sign in to. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Lingoes.ai, click Add connection, then sign in on the Lingoes.ai tab and grant access. That one connection is reused by every Lingoes.ai step afterwards. For the custom action, the account also needs at least one NLP model already trained on Lingoes.ai, because the model field is required. The ready model action asks for nothing beyond the text and the labels you type.
05How do the labels of the Lingoes.ai ready model work?
You write them yourself, in plain words, one label per field. Possible class labels is a required field of Classify Text With Lingoes.ai Ready Model, and the model returns the most probable one for your text. For sentiment, that means three separate fields: positive, negative, neutral, typed without quotes. For categories or intents, list the options the same way. The labels are the entire setup: no training, no model to choose. What comes back can then feed a filter or the next action of the Zap.
06What if the Lingoes.ai operation you need is missing?
Then this integration cannot do it, and it is better to know early. On Zapier, Lingoes.ai offers two actions, both about classifying text, and nothing else: no trigger, no search, nothing to train or manage a model. Anything outside classification happens in Lingoes.ai itself. If the gap is on the other side, starting the Zap or storing the result, look at the app that brings the text in: it is the one that has to supply the trigger and the place where the label gets written.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lingoes.ai?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, the two Lingoes.ai actions are usable from the free plan, with a two-step limit and a bill counted in tasks. The source behind this page says nothing about Lingoes.ai on Make or n8n, so first check that each tool offers the app at all. Then weigh how many steps your flow needs, how many texts you classify each month, and who maintains it. A sentiment flow with a filter and a write-back step is already multi-step on Zapier.
