Manifestly Checklists Agent Zapier integrationAutomate Manifestly Checklists Agent with Zapier.
The Manifestly Checklists Agent Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers, 2 actions and 0 searches. A finished run, a ticked step or a run running late can set off work elsewhere, and other apps can start a run or change a step. Here is what it does, what it costs and where it stops.

What the Manifestly Checklists Agent Zapier integration does
The Manifestly Checklists Agent Zapier integration connects your Manifestly account to Zapier in both directions. Three events go out: a run is completed, a step is completed, a run is late. Two moves come in: start a run of a workflow, and change the state of a step inside a run. All three events are instant, so nothing waits for a scheduled check.
Three results people get from it. A lateness alarm: Run Late fires when a run falls behind, and the Zap can post to your team chat or start a follow-up workflow, so a slipping process gets noticed while someone can still do something about it. A relay: Run Completed on one workflow triggers Run Workflow on the next, and the second checklist opens by itself, with no one having to remember the handover. A remote tick: an event in another app feeds Change Step State, which moves a step of a running checklist without anyone opening Manifestly.
What Zapier does not do here. There is no search, so a Zap cannot look up a run, a step or a workflow. Change Step State needs the run's ID, and that has to come from an earlier step of the same Zap. Every trigger is also tied to one workflow, and Step Completed to one step, so a single Zap never watches the whole account.

The Zapier words you need
Eight terms carry every Zapier page. Here they are once, in plain words.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap, such as a Manifestly run running late. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something, such as starting a run.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's allowance counts those.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier when the event happens. All three triggers here are instant.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking for new items at a fixed interval. This app has none on Zapier.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and that needs a paid plan.
What it really costs
Manifestly Checklists Agent is not a premium app on Zapier, so the free plan is enough to start. Triggers never cost a task: a late run or a ticked step costs nothing by itself.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- What costs a taskEach successful action; triggers are free
- TriggersAll 3 instant
You are billed one task for each action that succeeds. A late run that starts a follow-up workflow costs one task. If the same Zap also posts to chat, it costs two. Failed actions are not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps; a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which requires a paid plan. The interval grid below is Zapier's rule for polling triggers. It does not apply to the three triggers of this app, which are all instant.
Connect Manifestly Checklists Agent
- 01
Open Apps
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Manifestly account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that needs it.
- 02
Choose the app
Search for Manifestly Checklists Agent in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need an existing Manifestly account for the next step. You do this once per account.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. If the workflows or runs the Zap will touch belong to a colleague, check that your login can read and change them.
Your first Zap: catch late runs
GoalWhen a run of a chosen workflow is late and passes your condition, your team chat gets a message.
- 01
Create the Zap and pick Run Late
Start a new Zap, choose Manifestly Checklists Agent and Run Late, select your connection, then the workflow to watch. The Workflow ID field is required.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the account, so you map fields on a real late run. Read what it shows before going on.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter: the field to look at, the rule and the value. Text rules work on text only. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so a paid plan is needed.
- 04
Add the chat message
Add your team chat app as the action, choose the step that sends a message, and write it with the run details you saw at test.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the message lands where it should, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
Manifestly Checklists Agent triggers
3 events start a Zap when something happens in Manifestly Checklists Agent, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Run Completed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a run is completed.”
When a run of the workflow you picked reaches its end, this trigger passes it to your Zap. It is the end-of-process signal that can open the next workflow, warn someone or log the outcome elsewhere.
Step Completed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a step is completed.”
Finer than the whole run, this trigger reacts when one chosen step of a workflow is ticked. You get a signal in the middle of the process, at the exact checkpoint that matters.
Run Late
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a run is late.”
Here the signal is a delay: it fires when a run of the chosen workflow is late. Instead of finding out at the end, you hear about the delay while there is still time to act.
Manifestly Checklists Agent actions
Manifestly Checklists Agent gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Change Step State
ActionIn Zapier“Changes the state of a step”
Changes the state of a step inside a run that is already going, from outside Manifestly. Which states are offered is something to read in the editor at test.
Run Workflow
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a run of a workflow.”
Opens a new run of the workflow you choose, so a checklist starts in Manifestly because something happened in another app or another workflow.
When it breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Manifestly Checklists Agent, and no limit specific to the app is on record.
The cases below are the general Zapier limits that apply to these triggers and actions. If a Zap misbehaves, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
Earlier runs never reach the Zap
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Runs that were late or completed before that are not picked up; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches can restart again and again and burn tasks. Change Step State next to Step Completed deserves a check at test.A sudden batch held back
When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back.Silence from other workflows
Each trigger is set on one workflow, and Step Completed on one step. Events from other workflows never reach that Zap.
