The MasterIN Zapier integration has 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. It does one thing: New Lead passes each lead MasterIN receives to the rest of your tools. It is a polling trigger, so your plan sets the pace. Here is how to use it well.

What the MasterIN Zapier integration is for
MasterIN is a platform built around postgraduate information and training, and the people who show interest there reach the account as leads. On Zapier it offers a single trigger, New Lead. Every lead MasterIN receives can start a Zap and travel on to your CRM, a spreadsheet or your team chat.
Three results you can build on that one trigger. Leads that land straight in your CRM: New Lead hands each lead to the CRM your team already works in, so nobody copies it from MasterIN by hand. A shared lead log: every new lead becomes a row in a spreadsheet, which gives you one place to count and sort them. A heads-up for the team: a message in your team chat each time a lead arrives, so someone can pick it up. Each of these is a two-step Zap, which the free plan covers.
What Zapier does not do for MasterIN: it cannot write anything back. There is no action and no search, so a Zap cannot update a lead, change its status or look one up in MasterIN. The trigger is a polling one, so on the free plan a lead can wait up to 15 minutes before the Zap sees it. And leads received before the Zap was published are never picked up.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words do the work on this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it; for MasterIN, a new lead.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes or sends something for you. With MasterIN, actions run in other apps.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only what it has not seen.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens. MasterIN's New Lead is not one of those.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a MasterIN Zap really costs
MasterIN is not a premium app: it works on the free plan. Zapier bills tasks, not Zaps.
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger type1 polling, 0 instant
New Lead costs nothing, and neither do Zapier's checks for new leads, however often they run. What you pay for is each action that succeeds in the apps that follow: one action per lead is one task per lead, two actions are two. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks New Lead on each plan.
Connect your MasterIN account to Zapier
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your MasterIN account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts on it.
- 02
Pick MasterIN
Search MasterIN by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. You need a MasterIN account that receives the leads you want the Zap to pass on.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A tab opens on MasterIN. Sign in, then grant Zapier access to the account. When the tab closes, the connection appears in your list, ready for New Lead.
Your first Zap: new MasterIN leads into your CRM
GoalEach time MasterIN receives a lead that passes your filter, it is created as a contact in your CRM.
- 01
Create the Zap on MasterIN
Start a new Zap, pick MasterIN as the app and New Lead as the event, then choose your MasterIN connection. The trigger asks for no required field.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the connected account. Pick a real one and look at which values come with it.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a filter step from the plus icon and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value. Leads that fail it stop there. The Zap is now multi-step.
- 04
Add the CRM action
Choose your CRM and its create-contact action, then map the lead's values from the test into the contact fields your CRM asks for.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run the action once and check the new contact in your CRM. Then click Publish; on the free plan, Zapier checks MasterIN for new leads every 15 minutes.
MasterIN trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in MasterIN. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Lead
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead has been received.”
Starts your Zap each time MasterIN receives a new lead, which hands that lead to whatever tool your team follows up from.
When a MasterIN Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to MasterIN and lists no limit specific to it. What can go wrong comes from general Zapier behaviour around a polling trigger.
Four cases to know before you count on the Zap. When a run fails, our Zapier troubleshooting guide is the next stop.
Older leads never arrive
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Leads MasterIN received before that are not picked up; moving them is a separate job.A lead seems late
New Lead is a polling trigger. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a lead can wait that long; Professional checks every 2 minutes.A lead is not sent twice
Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same lead does not start the Zap again, even if you expected a second run.A burst of leads is held back
When New Lead suddenly returns a huge batch, after a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back instead of firing them all.
