Overview

What the Meser 10 Zapier integration does for you

The Meser 10 Zapier integration connects an email and SMS marketing platform built for Israeli businesses to the rest of your tools. Zapier watches three events in Meser 10, writes contacts and statuses into it, and can send one transactional email or SMS at a time. The app is still listed as beta on Zapier.

Three results people build first. A mailing list that fills itself: a new form entry goes through Create or Update Contact, which adds the person to a list or updates them if the email address or phone number is already there. A confirmation for each sign-up: the next step, Send Email, sends that one person a single message such as a receipt or a confirmation. A clean record elsewhere: New Bounce and New Unsubscribe pass each failed or departed address to a spreadsheet or another tool, and Campaign Sent tells you when a send has finished.

Now the limits. All three triggers are polling, so Zapier checks Meser 10 on a timer and nothing arrives instantly. Send Email and Send SMS go to one recipient per message: they are not a way to send a campaign. A reply-to address or a sender name that Meser 10 has not verified or approved gets the message refused. And the bounce and unsubscribe triggers fire on what Meser 10 recorded, not on a status another tool writes into Meser 10 through its connection.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Eight words come back all over this page. Here is what each one means, in plain terms.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one event that starts it, then one or more steps that run every time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Meser 10 has three: campaign sent, bounce, unsubscribe.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or changes something for you. Meser 10 has four.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action the Zap completed successfully, and your plan's number counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment it happens. Meser 10's are polling.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something already stored in an app so later steps can use it. Meser 10 has one: Find Contact Status.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter, a search or a second action makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Meser 10 Zap really costs

Meser 10 is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Zapier bills in tasks, and the triggers never cost one.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Meser 10 triggers3, all polling
  • Search or filterMakes the Zap multi-step, paid plan

Zapier's checks of Meser 10 for finished campaigns, bounces and unsubscribes are free, however often they run. Each action that goes through is one task, and a refused or failed one is not counted. Adding a contact and then sending a confirmation email costs two tasks per new entry, while a filtered campaign note costs one task only when it passes. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps capped at two steps each, so that pair, or any Zap with Find Contact Status or a filter, needs a paid plan. All three triggers are polling, so the grid below sets how often Zapier looks.

Connect

Connect Meser 10 to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Meser 10 account linked once, then reused by every Meser 10 step.

  2. 02

    Pick Meser 10

Type Meser 10 in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Meser 10 side; keep it open until you are done.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Meser 10 in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need a Meser 10 account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Meser 10 Zap, step by step

GoalPost a note in your team chat when a Meser 10 campaign finishes sending, but only for the campaigns that pass a condition you choose.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and set the trigger

Start a new Zap, pick Meser 10 and choose Campaign Sent. Connect your Meser 10 account first if you have not done it yet.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so you see which fields arrive before mapping anything.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

From the plus icon, add a Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, and the value. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers.

  4. 04

    Add the chat message

Add your team chat app and build the message from the fields the trigger test brought back. With the filter, this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step and read what came back before going further. When it looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.

Triggers

Meser 10 triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in Meser 10. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Campaign Sent

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a campaign finishes sending.”

Starts your Zap once a Meser 10 campaign has finished going out. It marks the end of a send, so it suits the jobs that should wait until everything has left: telling the team, logging the send in a spreadsheet, or starting a follow-up in another tool.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
your team wants a note in its chat each time a campaign is done, without anyone watching the screen.
Watch out
it fires when the sending finishes; check at the test step what the trigger brings back before mapping it.
2

New Bounce

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an email address bounces. Fires on a recorded delivery failure, not on a status set through the API.”

Kicks off a Zap each time an email address bounces in Meser 10. It reacts to a delivery failure that Meser 10 actually recorded and passes that address on to the next step of the Zap.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
your sales or support tool should flag contacts whose email no longer gets through.
Watch out
a Bounced status written into Meser 10 by another tool through its connection, a Change Contact Status step for example, does not fire it; check at the test step.
3

New Unsubscribe

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an email address is removed from a mailing list. Fires on a recorded unsubscribe, not on a status set through the API.”

Runs your Zap when an email address is taken off a Meser 10 mailing list. It follows unsubscribes that Meser 10 recorded, so other tools can stop writing to people who asked out of your emails.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a second tool also sends messages, and its list must lose the same people.
Watch out
an Unsubscribed status written into Meser 10 by another tool through its connection, for example with Change Contact Status, does not fire it; only a recorded unsubscribe does.
Actions

Meser 10 actions

Meser 10 gives you 4 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Change Contact Status

Action

In Zapier“Sets an existing contact's status to Active, Unsubscribed or Bounced, matching the contact by email address or phone number.”

Switches an existing contact to Active, Unsubscribed or Bounced, finding them by email address or phone number. New Status is the one required choice.

When to use it
someone opts out in another tool and Meser 10 should respect it too.
Watch out
Unsubscribed stops all future sending to that contact, so map the right person before publishing.
2

Create or Update Contact

Action

In Zapier“Creates a contact in a mailing list, or updates the existing one when the email address or phone number is already there.”

Adds a contact to a Meser 10 mailing list, or updates the one already there when the email address or phone number matches. One step covers both newcomers and returning people.

When to use it
sign-ups land in another app and should reach your Meser 10 list without a manual import.
Watch out
the match runs on email address or phone number only, so check at the test step which contact was created or updated.
3

Send Email

Action

In Zapier“Sends a single email to one recipient through Meser 10, for transactional messages such as receipts, confirmations and notifications. The reply-to address must be verified in your Meser 10 account.”

Sends one email to one recipient through Meser 10, for transactional messages such as receipts, confirmations and notifications. The body accepts HTML, and Hebrew text goes inside an element with dir="rtl".

When to use it
each new record elsewhere should get its own message, written from its fields.
Watch out
the Reply-To address must be verified in Meser 10, otherwise the message is refused, and recipients who unsubscribed are skipped.
4

Send SMS

Action

In Zapier“Sends a single SMS to one mobile number through Meser 10, for one-time codes, reminders and service updates. The sender name must be approved in your Meser 10 account.”

Sends one SMS to one Israeli mobile number through Meser 10, for one-time codes, reminders or service updates. You give the number, the message and the sender name.

When to use it
a booking or an order in another app calls for a short text to that person.
Watch out
send the number as text, like 0501234567, so the leading zero survives, and use an approved sender name or the SMS is refused.
Searches

Meser 10 search

1 search step looks for data that already exists in Meser 10, so a later step can use it.

A search step looks something up so the steps after it can use what it found. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not a single clean match.

1

Find Contact Status

Search

In Zapier“Finds a contact by email address and returns its current status.”

Looks up a contact by email address and returns its current status in Meser 10, so the next step can act on it. Email Address is the only required field.

When to use it
before sending an SMS or an email from another tool, check that the person is still active.
Watch out
it returns nothing when the address is not in the account, so decide how the first setting above should treat that case.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and the steps that depended on it are skipped. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking this box turns a search into a find-or-create and asks for the fields needed to create the missing item. Meser 10 exposes no find-or-create variant on Zapier.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or hand all of them on at once.
When it breaks

When a Meser 10 Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article for Meser 10, and no rate limit has been recorded. The rules that do break Zaps sit in the fields of the actions and triggers themselves.

Six cases cover what goes wrong most visibly. Four come from Meser 10's own checks on senders and recipients, two from how Zaps work in general.

  • Reply-To address not verified

Send Email requires a Reply-To address verified in your Meser 10 account. Any other address gets the message refused.
  • Sender name not approved

Send SMS needs a sender name or number approved in your Meser 10 account. An unapproved sender is refused, and nothing goes out.
  • Leading zero lost on the number

To Phone expects an Israeli mobile number sent as text. Send it as text so the leading zero is kept, for example by mapping a text column.
  • Unsubscribed recipients skipped

Send Email does not send to a recipient who unsubscribed from your account, and the Unsubscribed status stops all future sending to that contact.
  • No catch-up on old events

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Bounces and unsubscribes recorded earlier are not picked up; moving them is a separate job.
  • A Zap that triggers itself

As a general precaution, a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your tasks.

FAQ

Meser 10 Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the Meser 10 Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can use it on Zapier's free plan, because Meser 10 is not a premium app. The free plan includes 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap where a form entry goes straight into Create or Update Contact fits. Add Send Email after it, a filter or the Find Contact Status search, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a Meser 10 Zap use?
One task for every action that completes. The triggers cost nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to find finished campaigns, bounces and unsubscribes. An action that is refused or fails is not counted. So a Zap that adds a contact and sends a confirmation email uses two tasks per form entry. If you run Send SMS on every new contact, each text that goes out counts once. On the free plan, those 100 tasks a month are shared by every Zap you run.
03Do Meser 10 bounces and unsubscribes reach Zapier in real time?
No. Campaign Sent, New Bounce and New Unsubscribe are all polling triggers: Zapier checks Meser 10 on a timer, and the interval depends on your plan. That is every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional and every minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans the interval can be changed, and a check can be run by hand from the editor. The same grid applies to all three triggers, so pick your plan with the slowest acceptable delay in mind.
04What do you need to connect Meser 10 to Zapier?
A Meser 10 account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, pick Meser 10, then sign in to Meser 10 in the tab that opens and grant access. For the sending actions, also prepare a verified reply-to address and an approved SMS sender name in Meser 10. The connection is then reused by every Meser 10 step in every Zap.
05Why was a Meser 10 email or SMS refused?
Three checks can stop it. Send Email refuses the message when the Reply-To address is not verified in your Meser 10 account. Send SMS refuses it when the sender name or number is not approved there. And Send Email does not send to a recipient who unsubscribed from your account. Fix the setting in Meser 10, then rerun the step test with your own address or number before publishing. Each refused message costs no task.
06What if the Meser 10 operation you want is missing?
Open Meser 10's app page on Zapier, which shows the current list of what a Zap can do with it. Today that is three triggers, four actions and one search, centred on contacts and single messages. There is no action to send a whole campaign. If the step you need is not there, see whether it belongs in Meser 10 itself or can be handled by another app connected to Zapier.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Meser 10?
Compare them on criteria rather than reputation. Availability first: on Zapier, Meser 10 comes with eight ready-made operations and runs on the free plan; whether Make or n8n offer a Meser 10 module is something to check in their own app lists. Timing next: the three triggers here are polling, so on Zapier your plan sets how quickly a bounce shows up. Then count the steps your flow needs against each plan.
