Momentifi Zapier integrationAutomate Momentifi with Zapier.
The Momentifi Zapier integration gives you 4 actions, and no trigger or search. Every Zap starts in another app, then creates or updates a Momentifi contact, or adds or removes a contact tag. It runs on the free plan as long as each Zap stays at two steps.

What the Momentifi Zapier integration actually does
The Momentifi Zapier integration lets your other tools write into Momentifi, and into the Relationship Planner and CMPS applications it serves. Something happens elsewhere, a form is filled or a row is added, and the Zap creates or changes a contact in Momentifi. You set it up once as a Zap, and it runs while switched on.
Three results people build. Contacts that arrive on their own: a new form response goes through Create Contact, so nobody copies names and numbers by hand. A tag that tells the story: when someone takes a step in another tool, Add Contact Tag labels their Momentifi contact, and the tag is created if it does not exist yet. A tag that goes away: when a person leaves a list in your email tool, Remove Contact Tag takes the matching tag off.
What Zapier does not do here. Momentifi has no trigger, so nothing that happens in Momentifi can start a Zap: every Zap begins in another app. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look a contact up before writing. And no action deletes a contact. The four actions only create, update and tag, and they all find the contact by email.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
A few words come back all over this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Momentifi has none on Zapier, so the trigger always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, like a Momentifi contact.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its app. Here it depends on the app that starts the Zap.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Momentifi Zap really costs
Momentifi is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works on the free plan. What you spend is tasks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps
- Premium appNo, Momentifi works on the free plan
- What countsEach successful Momentifi action
The trigger, which comes from another app, costs nothing. Each Momentifi action that succeeds counts as one task, and one that fails is not counted. Create a contact and tag it in the same Zap and each run uses two tasks, and a few apps and actions take more than one. The free plan stops at two steps: a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, so paid. The grid applies to the starting app's trigger only if that trigger polls.
Connect Momentifi to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Momentifi account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick Momentifi
Search for Momentifi in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A new tab opens where you sign in to Momentifi with the account your Zaps should write into.
- 03
Grant access
Sign in to Momentifi in that tab and give Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and every Momentifi step you add later, in any Zap, reuses it.
Your first Momentifi Zap: from form to tagged contact
GoalWhen your form gets a new response, create the contact in Momentifi and tag it.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and pick your form tool as the app that starts it. With two Momentifi actions after the trigger, this is a multi-step Zap and needs a paid plan.
- 02
Set the trigger
Choose the new-response event of your form and test it, so the next steps are mapped on a real response rather than an empty one.
- 03
Create the contact
Add Create Contact and map First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone Number from the form answers. All four are required, phone included.
- 04
Add the tag
Add Add Contact Tag, map the same email as Contact Email and type the tag. If that tag does not exist in Momentifi yet, it is created.
- 05
Test and publish
Run each step once and read what came back, then publish the Zap to switch it on. Responses received before that are not picked up.
Momentifi actions on Zapier
Momentifi gives you 4 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Add Contact Tag
ActionIn Zapier“This will add a contact tag to an existing contact.”
Puts a tag on an existing Momentifi contact, picked by email.
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Contact”
Adds a new contact to Momentifi from data that arrived earlier in the Zap, with first name, last name, email and phone number.
Remove Contact Tag
ActionIn Zapier“This will remove a contact tag from an existing contact.”
Takes a tag off an existing Momentifi contact, again identified by email.
Update Contact
ActionIn Zapier“This will allow you to update a contact in the Momentifi system.”
Changes a contact that already exists in Momentifi, found by its email address.
When a Momentifi Zap breaks
Zapier lists no Momentifi-specific limit or error for this integration. What goes wrong comes from how Zapier works and from the starting app.
Four general limits are worth knowing. They do not show while you build; they appear once the Zap is live and real data flows into Momentifi. If one of them hits you, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Nothing from before
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Form responses or rows that already existed never reach Momentifi; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that restarts itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burns through your tasks. Keep the two apart.Flood protection
If the starting trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back. The same item twice
When the starting trigger polls, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
