My Web Audit Zapier integrationAutomate My Web Audit with Zapier.

The My Web Audit Zapier integration gives you 7 triggers, 21 actions and 0 searches. Widget submissions, audit emails and report views can start a Zap, and a Zap can launch an audit or a lead magnet report on its own. Here is what that costs and where it breaks.

Overview

What the My Web Audit Zapier integration does

My Web Audit produces website audits and reports that agencies use to find and convert prospects. Linked to Zapier, it talks to the rest of your tools: what visitors do with its widgets and reports can start a Zap, and audits can be launched from elsewhere without opening the app. If Zapier itself is new to you, read our Zapier review first.

Widget leads that reach your CRM. Audit Widget Submission and Lead Widget Submission pick up what visitors send through the forms My Web Audit puts on your website, so the contact can land in a CRM or a sheet.

Follow-up timed on real interest. Audit Email Sent, Audit Email Read and Audit Report Read each fire the first time it happens, which lets a Zap remind someone to call back once the prospect has actually opened the report.

Audits and lead magnets launched from another app. Twenty-one actions cover the full audits (website, page speed, on-page SEO, accessibility, landing page, e-commerce, Google Business Profile, competitive, ROI) and the lead magnet reports. A row or a form entry can be enough to start one.

What Zapier does not do here. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing audit or report. There is no action to edit or delete an audit, and none of the seven triggers is instant: each one is checked on a timer. To weigh other platforms on criteria, see n8n vs Zapier.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven terms come back on this page. Each one in plain words.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it, such as a new widget submission.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, like running an audit.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a My Web Audit Zap really costs

My Web Audit is not reserved for paid plans: it works from the free plan. What Zapier bills is tasks.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
  • Trigger checksNever billed
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Failed actionNot counted

None of the seven triggers costs a task, and Zapier checking them costs nothing either, however often it looks. Each action that succeeds counts one task, whether it runs an audit, generates a lead magnet or writes into another app; one that fails is not counted. The free plan builds Zaps of two steps only. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. All seven triggers are polling triggers, so the grid below sets how soon a new event is seen.

Connect

Connect My Web Audit to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your My Web Audit account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Pick My Web Audit

Search for My Web Audit by name in the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens, this time on the My Web Audit side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to My Web Audit in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: widget leads to your CRM, with a heads-up

GoalEach audit widget submission on your website creates a contact in your CRM, then posts a message in your team chat.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose My Web Audit as the trigger app and Audit Widget Submission as the event, then pick your connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the fields on a real submission rather than a blank one.

  3. 03

    Add the CRM step

Add an action with your CRM and its create-contact event. Map the values the trigger returned into the contact fields; check at test which values are there.

  4. 04

    Add the message

Add a second action with your team chat and write the message with the same values. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step, check the new contact and the message, then click Publish. For guided practice, see our Zapier training.

Triggers

The 7 My Web Audit triggers

7 events start a Zap when something happens in My Web Audit. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Add New Task

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new To-Do task is added to your account.”

Starts your Zap when a new to-do task is added to your My Web Audit account. It turns the app's own to-do list into a source for your other tools, instead of a list you have to open to see.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
your team tracks work in another task tool and you want each new My Web Audit to-do copied there.
Watch out
only to-dos added after the Zap is published are picked up; older ones stay where they are.
2

Audit Email Read

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when the user reads the email the first time.”

Fires when the recipient opens an audit email for the first time. Later opens of the same email do not start it again, so each email produces one event, which keeps a follow-up Zap from repeating itself.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
you want a reminder to follow up with a prospect once the email has been opened, rather than at a fixed date.
Watch out
on a polling trigger the event reaches the Zap at the next check, not at the moment of the open.
3

Audit Email Sent

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an email has been sent for the audit the first time.”

Picks up the first sending of an email for an audit. It gives you a clean record of which audits actually went out, without opening each one in My Web Audit to check its status.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
you keep a log of sent audits in a spreadsheet or a CRM and want each new sending added to it.
Watch out
a second sending of the same audit is not a new event; only the first one counts.
4

Audit Report Read

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when the user views the report the first time.”

Reacts the first time someone views an audit report. Of the seven triggers, it is the closest signal of interest: the prospect has gone past the email and looked at the findings themselves.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a report view should move a deal forward in your CRM or tell a salesperson that now is a good time to call.
Watch out
repeat views by the same person do not fire it again, so it cannot measure how often a report is read.
5

Audit Submission

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new audit generated including the company profile.”

Starts the Zap each time a new audit is generated, and the company profile comes along with it. That makes it the natural trigger for anything that must happen after an audit exists, whoever or whatever started it.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
every new audit should create or enrich a company record in another tool, using the profile it carries.
Watch out
check at test which profile values come back before mapping them into another app.
6

Audit Widget Submission

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a user submits the audit widget form on your website.”

Fires when a visitor fills in the audit widget form placed on your website. Each submission is one visitor who took the time to fill in that form, which makes it a natural starting point for a follow-up.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
widget requests should become contacts in your CRM, or a message to whoever handles new leads.
Watch out
the widget must already be live on your site; the trigger only sees submissions sent after the Zap is on.
7

Lead Widget Submission

Polling trigger

In Zapier“This trigger will be triggered when a lead widget submission occurs in your My Web Audit account.”

Picks up each submission made through a lead widget of your My Web Audit account. It is the separate entry point for the lead widget, distinct from the audit widget, so the two can feed different Zaps.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
lead widget contacts go to a different list, owner or sequence than audit widget requests.
Watch out
do not pick Audit Widget Submission by mistake; the names are close and they watch different forms.
Actions

The 21 My Web Audit actions

My Web Audit gives you 21 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Run Audit

Action

In Zapier“Runs a new audit.”

Launches a new audit from an email address and a website URL, with an option to add a competitive analysis.

When to use it
a contact arrives with a website in another tool and you want the audit started without retyping anything.
Watch out
with Enable Competitive Analysis switched on, each competitor uses 1 additional audit credit.
2

Generate AI Website Non Profit Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Produces the non-profit version of the AI website lead magnet, from the organization's name, its site and the report language.

When to use it
the organization entering your tool is a non-profit and you want the report variant named for that case.
Watch out
Language is required, so map it or set a fixed value.
3

Run Audit - AI Website Audit

Action

In Zapier“Run a website audit in the system”

Starts the AI website audit for a company, based on a template you choose by its token.

When to use it
the AI version of the website audit is the one you send, and you want it launched from a CRM or a form.
Watch out
Automatically Run System Checks is required too; decide its value before testing.
4

Generate Accessibility Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Generates an accessibility-themed lead magnet report for a company's website, in the language you set.

When to use it
accessibility is your way into a conversation and each new prospect should receive that report.
Watch out
this is the lead magnet, not the full Accessibility audit listed further down.
5

Generate AI Website Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Creates the AI website lead magnet report from a company name, a website address and a language.

When to use it
you offer a quick AI review of a site as a hook, before any paid audit.
Watch out
do not confuse it with the non-profit variant above; the two names differ by two words.
6

Run Audit - Accessibility

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run accessibility audit.”

Runs a full accessibility audit of a company's website, using the template your token points to.

When to use it
a client or prospect has asked about accessibility and the request is logged in another tool.
Watch out
the Template Token is required, and its field only carries the hint How to copy token?; have the token ready before testing.
7

Run Audit - Competitive Analysis

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a competitive audit.”

Compares a company with a competitor around a keyword and an address, on a grid of points.

When to use it
how a company stands against one named competitor on a keyword is the argument you want to put in front of a prospect.
Watch out
ten fields are required, including the grid distance, its type and the first competitor's name and URL.
8

Run Audit - E-Commerce

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run an ecommerce audit.”

Audits an online store's website from its company name, URL and the template token you pick.

When to use it
your pipeline includes online shops and they should get the e-commerce audit rather than the generic one.
Watch out
Automatically Run System Checks is required on this action as well.
9

Run Audit - Google Business Profile (GBP)

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a GBP audit.”

Reviews a company's Google Business Profile over a service area, with a grid of points at the distance you set.

When to use it
the prospect's Google Business Profile is what you want to discuss, more than the website.
Watch out
no website URL here; the action asks for Primary Service Area and the grid settings instead.
10

Run Audit - Landing Page

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a landing page audit.”

Audits one landing page rather than a whole site, from its exact URL and a template token.

When to use it
a campaign page is under review and you want its audit started from wherever the page is listed.
Watch out
the field is Landing Page URL, so map the page address, not the home page.
11

Run Audit - On Page SEO

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run an on-page SEO audit.”

Checks how a website is optimized for a keyword phrase in a given service area.

When to use it
the prospect has told you which search they want to rank for, and that phrase is stored with the lead.
Watch out
Keyword Phrase and Primary Service Area are both required; map them from the lead record.
12

Run Audit - Page Speed

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a page speed audit.”

Measures the loading speed of a company's website through a page speed audit tied to your template.

When to use it
a prospect's site feels slow and you want the numbers ready before the first call.
Watch out
like the other full audits, it needs a Template Token and the system checks setting.
13

Run Audit - ROI

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run an ROI audit.”

Builds an ROI audit from a company's traffic, leads, conversion rates and transaction values.

When to use it
you collect those figures in a form or a CRM and want the projection produced from them.
Watch out
type percentages as whole numbers: 70 for 70%, 35 for 35%, no decimals.
14

Run Audit - ROI E-Commerce

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a ROI E-commerce audit.”

Runs the store version of the ROI audit, based on visitors, monthly sales and average sale value.

When to use it
the prospect sells online and talks in orders, not in leads.
Watch out
Number of Monthly Sales Generated means orders or sales from the website each month, not revenue.
15

Run Audit - Website

Action

In Zapier“This action allows you to run a website audit.”

Runs the standard website audit for a company, from its URL and your chosen template.

When to use it
you want one default audit for every new lead, before deciding which specialized audit fits.
Watch out
it is a separate action from Run Audit at the top of this list, with different required fields.
16

Generate GBP Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Generates a Google Business Profile lead magnet from a company name, a keyword and a language.

When to use it
your opening topic is the prospect's Google Business Profile, and you may not have a website address to give.
Watch out
Keyword is required here, while the website URL is not asked.
17

Generate On-Page SEO Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Produces an on-page SEO lead magnet for a website and a keyword, in the language you choose.

When to use it
a lead names the search term that matters to them, and you want a short report on it.
Watch out
four fields are required, the keyword included.
18

Generate Page Speed Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Turns a company's website into a page speed lead magnet report, in the language you set.

When to use it
speed is your opening argument and a lighter report suits the first contact better than a full audit.
Watch out
no template token here, unlike Run Audit - Page Speed.
19

Generate ROI E-Commerce Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Creates an ROI lead magnet for an online store from its visitors, monthly sales, sale value and transactions.

When to use it
store owners fill in a short form with those figures and expect a report back.
Watch out
Language is required on top of the four figures.
20

Generate ROI Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Generates the ROI lead magnet from traffic, leads, qualification and close rates, plus transaction values.

When to use it
a calculator-style form on your site gathers those numbers and should return a report.
Watch out
Qualified Leads (%) and Successful Customers (%) take whole numbers without decimals.
21

Generate Website Lead Magnet

Action

In Zapier“This action generates a lead magnet report.”

Builds the general website lead magnet from three inputs: company name, website URL and language.

When to use it
you want the simplest report possible for every new widget or form lead.
Watch out
the language must be set for each run, mapped or fixed.
When it breaks

When a My Web Audit Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article and no specific limit to My Web Audit. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general and from the required fields of the actions.

Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. If a Zap behaves oddly, start with our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Past events are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Earlier widget submissions, emails or report views are not sent anywhere; moving that history is a separate job.
  • A Zap that sets itself off

As a general precaution: a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again and burn through tasks.
  • A large batch at once

If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back.
  • The same event, once

Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same submission or report view does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

My Web Audit Zapier integration: questions

01Is the My Web Audit Zapier integration free?
Yes. My Web Audit is not reserved for paid plans, so it runs on the free plan. That plan gives 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. Sending widget submissions to a CRM fits inside that limit. Adding a team message after the CRM step, or a filter that keeps only some leads, turns the Zap into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a My Web Audit Zap use?
One per action that succeeds. The seven triggers are never billed, and Zapier checking them costs nothing however often it looks. A Zap that creates a CRM contact and posts a message spends two tasks per submission, because each successful action counts on its own. An audit or lead magnet launched by the Zap counts one task when it goes through. An action that fails is not counted against your plan.
03Do My Web Audit triggers fire in real time?
No. All seven are polling triggers: Zapier asks My Web Audit for new events at a fixed interval, and that interval depends on your plan. It is 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, and 1 on Team and Enterprise. On the paid plans the interval can be changed, and a check can be run by hand from the editor. Whether a trigger is instant is decided by the app, not by a setting in Zapier.
04What do you need to connect My Web Audit?
An account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. You add the connection once from the Apps page of your Zapier account: search for My Web Audit, sign in in the tab that opens, and grant access. Every step that uses the app then reuses it. For most Run Audit actions, also have your Template Token at hand.
05Why can a single audit use more credits than expected?
Because of the competitive analysis option. On Run Audit, the Enable Competitive Analysis field is required, and when it is switched on, each competitor uses 1 additional audit credit. A Zap that turns it on for every new lead spends those credits on every run. Check that field at test before publishing. Decide whether the option should be on for every lead, or set it from a field in your source app.
06What if the operation you want is not offered?
Then the integration does not offer it in the editor. The My Web Audit page on Zapier shows the current list: today seven triggers and twenty-one actions, with no search and no action to edit or delete an audit. A flow that needs to look up an existing report, for instance, cannot be built that way with this app. Check that page before you design the Zap, so a missing step does not surprise you once it is half built.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for My Web Audit?
Judge them on criteria rather than on a ranking. Coverage: Zapier gives you 7 triggers and 21 actions for this app; on another platform, first check whether it has a My Web Audit module and what that module covers. Timing: every trigger here is polled, so the interval of your Zapier plan sets how soon a report view or a submission is seen. Shape of the flow: a filter or a second action takes you past the two steps of the free plan.
