Overview

What the Nas.com Zapier integration is for

The Nas.com Zapier integration lets what happens in your Nas.com community start work in your other apps. A member joins, renews, changes plan, leaves or gets refunded, and Zapier passes that on. The two actions go the other way: they fetch the latest details of a member you already know.

A welcome that goes out on its own. New Member starts a Zap the moment someone joins the community you picked, and your email tool can greet them with the details that came along.

A clean record of money moving. New Transaction and Transaction Refunded can feed the same sheet, so purchases and refunds sit side by side without anyone exporting anything.

A full picture before you act. Get Member Detail by ID and Get Member Detail by Email bring back the latest details of a member, application questions and payment details included, so a later step works on fresh data.

One choice matters more than the others. Nas.com lists two member triggers: New Member is instant, while New Member (Old) is checked on a timer and also covers members still waiting for approval. Pick the first unless you need those pending members too.

What Zapier does not do here: it cannot create, edit or remove a member, a plan or an addon in Nas.com. Both actions only read. Every operation is also tied to one community at a time, picked in a required field. To see how Zapier sits next to other tools, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven terms come back across this page. Here they are once, in plain words.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it, here something happening in your community.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or fetches something for you, like a member's details.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts only those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen yet.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for the next check. Eight Nas.com triggers work this way.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Cost

What a Nas.com Zap costs you

Zapier bills tasks, and only one thing counts as a task: an action that went through.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, two steps each
  • Premium appNo, Nas.com works on the free plan
  • Instant triggers8 of 11, no interval
  • Failed actionNot counted

The trigger never costs anything, whether Nas.com reports it instantly or Zapier checks for it. Each successful action counts once, and that includes the two Nas.com actions: fetching a member's details is a task. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like, but each one stops at two steps. Add a filter or a second action, for example a member lookup followed by your email tool, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below only applies to the three polling triggers: New Lead, New Member (Old) and New Transaction. The eight instant ones are not affected by it.

Connect

Connect Nas.com to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open the connection dialog

Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box where every app Zapier supports can be found by name.

  2. 02

    Pick Nas.com and add it

Type Nas.com in the search box, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens where you sign in to Nas.com with the account that runs the community you want to automate.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Give Zapier access to the account in that tab. You need a Nas.com account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. Every Nas.com step then reuses this connection.

First Zap

Your first Nas.com Zap

GoalWhen someone joins your community, fetch their full member record and send it to your email tool.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, pick Nas.com as the app that starts it and New Member as the event, then choose the Nas.com connection you added.

  2. 02

    Set the trigger

Pick the Target Community. Test the trigger: Zapier brings back the three most recent members of that account, so you map fields on a real one.

  3. 03

    Fetch the member's details

Add Get Member Detail by ID, pick the same community and map the id field from the trigger. A second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add your email tool

Add your email tool as the last action and map the member details returned by the previous step into its fields. Check at the test step which details actually came back.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back. When it looks right, click Publish. Members who joined before that moment are not picked up.

Triggers

Nas.com triggers

11 events start a Zap when something happens in Nas.com, and 8 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Addon Access Granted

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when access to a new addon (event, folder, session, challenge, etc) is granted.”

Starts your Zap when a member gets access to an addon of your community, such as an event, a folder, a session or a challenge. The Zap can then confirm the access or log it elsewhere.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
people who sign up for an event should receive the practical details without you sending them by hand.
Watch out
the Target Community field is required, so the Zap only hears about addons in the community you select.
2

Addon Access Removed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when access to a new addon (event, folder, session, challenge, etc) is removed.”

The mirror of the previous one: it fires when a member loses access to an addon, whether that is an event, a folder, a session or a challenge.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
the list of attendees you keep in another tool should drop the person as soon as Nas.com removes their access.
Watch out
it also needs a Target Community, so a Zap built for one community stays silent about the others you run.
3

Membership Ended

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Trigger when membership has ended.”

Reacts when a membership comes to an end in the community you chose. It is the event to catch if you want to follow up with people who stop.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
you want a short goodbye message, or a line in a sheet that tracks who left and when.
Watch out
its key is member_cancelled but the editor shows Membership Ended. Look for that name, and pick the community in the required field.
4

Member Renew

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a member renew the membership.”

Fires each time a member renews their membership, which makes it the right starting point for anything you do to thank or confirm a renewal.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
renewals should be counted in a sheet, or the member should get a confirmation from your email tool.
Watch out
like every Nas.com trigger, it follows one community only, the one set in Target Community.
5

Member Unsubscribed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Trigger when member leave community.”

Triggered when a member leaves your community. Where Membership Ended is about a membership that has ended, this one is about a member leaving the community.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a contact list in another tool should stop treating that person as part of the community.
Watch out
the two events sound close. Test both against a real case before deciding which one your Zap should listen to.
6

New Lead

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created.”

Picks up each new lead created in your community, so the people who show interest reach your other tools without a copy and paste.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
new leads should land in the sheet or the tool where you follow up with prospects.
Watch out
this is one of the three polling triggers, so a lead shows up at the next check, not straight away. The Target Community field is required.
7

New Member (Old)

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new user joined community or pending approval.”

The older member trigger. It covers people who joined the community and also people still waiting for approval, which the newer one leaves out.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
your community approves members by hand and you want to know about requests before they are accepted.
Watch out
for members who are in, prefer New Member, which is instant. Test it against a real case before you publish.
8

New Member

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new user joined community.”

The current member trigger: it starts your Zap when a new user joins the community you selected, with their details passed to the next steps.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a welcome email, a line in a member sheet, or a lookup with Get Member Detail by ID to get the full record.
Watch out
it only covers people who joined. Requests still waiting for approval come through New Member (Old) instead.
9

New Transaction

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new purchase transaction is happening on nas.io.”

Follows purchases: each new purchase transaction in your community can start a Zap that records it or tells someone about it.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
sales should appear in a revenue sheet without anyone exporting them from Nas.com.
Watch out
this one is polled, while Transaction Refunded is instant. A Zap that pairs the two will not see them arrive at the same pace.
10

Subscription Plan Change

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when member changes subscription plan”

Catches a member moving from one subscription plan to another, which is the signal to adjust what they receive elsewhere.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a member's plan decides which list or group they belong to in another tool, and that should follow the change.
Watch out
check at the test step what the trigger returns before you map anything.
11

Transaction Refunded

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Trigger when a new refunded transaction is created.”

Fires when a refunded transaction is created in your community, so the money going back out is tracked as carefully as the money coming in.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
refunds need their own line in your accounting sheet, or a heads-up in your team chat.
Watch out
the Target Community field is required here too. One Zap tracks the refunds of one community.
Actions

Nas.com actions

Nas.com gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Get Member Detail by Email

Action

In Zapier“Get More and Latest Member Detail By Email including application questions, payment details etc”

Does the same lookup from an email address instead of an identifier, which helps when the step before only knows who the person is by their email.

When to use it
a trigger or another app gives you an email and you need the member's current details in Nas.com.
Watch out
Member Email and Target Community are both required. The email can come from any trigger that returns it.
2

Get Member Detail by ID

Action

In Zapier“Get More and Latest Member Detail By ID including application questions, payment details etc”

Fetches the latest details of a member from their identifier, application questions and payment details included, and hands them to the next steps.

When to use it
right after a member trigger, when the event alone does not carry everything you want to send on.
Watch out
the Member ID is required. Take it from the id field returned by a member-related trigger.
When it breaks

When a Nas.com Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Nas.com, so the cases below are the general limits every Zap runs into.

Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. If a Zap stops doing what you expect, our Zapier troubleshooting guide is the place to start.

  • Past members are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Members, sales and refunds from before stay where they are, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that sets itself off

A Zap that writes into the same place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again, and burn through your task count fast.
  • A sudden flood of events

If a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the run back.
  • The same lead, only once

On the three polling triggers, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same lead, member or sale does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

Nas.com Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Nas.com Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as each Zap stays at two steps. Nas.com is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan, which gives you 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps. A Zap made of New Member and one action in another tool fits. A Zap that first fetches the member with Get Member Detail by ID and then sends the result somewhere has two actions, so it becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. The same goes for any filter.
02How many tasks does a Nas.com Zap use?
One per action that succeeds, nothing for the trigger. A member joining, a sale or a refund starts the Zap for free, and the checks Zapier runs on the three polling triggers are free too. Then every action that completes counts once. That includes the two Nas.com actions: looking up a member by ID or by email is a task. An action that fails is not counted against your plan. So a Zap with a lookup and an email step uses two tasks per run.
03Does Nas.com trigger Zaps in real time?
Eight of its eleven triggers do. Addon Access Granted, Addon Access Removed, Membership Ended, Member Renew, Member Unsubscribed, New Member, Subscription Plan Change and Transaction Refunded are instant: Nas.com tells Zapier when the event happens, whatever your plan. New Lead, New Member (Old) and New Transaction are polling triggers: Zapier checks every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 on Professional, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans, a polling check can also be run by hand from the editor.
04What does it take to connect Nas.com to Zapier?
A Nas.com account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. You add the connection from the Apps page of Zapier, sign in to Nas.com in the tab that opens, then grant access. After that, every operation asks for a Target Community, which is required. If you run several communities, keep in mind that a Zap follows only the one selected in that field, so check the selection before you test.
05New Member or New Member (Old): which one should be used?
New Member, unless you need pending requests. It is instant and fires when a user joins the community. New Member (Old) is a polling trigger that also covers people still waiting for approval, so it is the right pick only if your community approves members by hand and you want to react to the request itself. Whichever you pick, run the test step on a real member and check what comes back before you publish.
06What if the Nas.com operation you need is not there?
Then this integration does not offer it today. The Nas.com app page on Zapier shows the current list of triggers and actions, the same one you get in the editor. Keep in mind how the two actions work: they read a member's details, by ID or by email, and nothing more. There is no step to create, change or remove a member, a plan or an addon. Where the integration is strong is in reacting: eleven triggers cover joins, renewals, plan changes, departures, sales and refunds.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Nas.com?
Compare them on criteria, not on a ranking. Zapier's case for Nas.com is solid: eleven community triggers, eight of them instant, a guided connection and a free plan that covers two-step Zaps. Its limits are clear too: the two actions only read, and as soon as you chain a lookup with another action you need a paid plan. For Make and n8n, ask the same questions: do they offer the Nas.com events you rely on, are those instant, and how is each run counted?
