New Coworker Zapier integrationAutomate New Coworker with Zapier.
New Coworker Zapier integration: 4 triggers and 2 actions, no search step. Finished calls, incoming emails and texts in both directions reach your other tools right away, and Zapier can hand leads to your AI coworker or send a text from its number.
Beta app Zapier still marks this integration as beta.

What the New Coworker Zapier integration actually does
New Coworker is an AI coworker for small businesses: it takes calls, answers texts and emails, books appointments and follows up on leads. Plugging it into Zapier lets a Zap (an automation you set up once: one trigger, then one or more actions) carry each of those events to another tool, or feed new leads back to the coworker, with nobody copying anything.
Three results worth building. A call log that writes itself: Call Completed starts the Zap when a call ends, and Zapier's own description says it comes with the summary and sentiment, so check at test how they come back before sending them to a spreadsheet. Leads that get worked straight away: a new entry in your form tool starts the Zap and Send Lead to Coworker passes it on, which starts the AiFlows you built to react to incoming events. A conversation history in your CRM: New Outbound Text fires for every text the coworker or you send, ready to be filed next to the contact.
All four triggers are instant: New Coworker itself tells Zapier when something happens, so the polling interval of your plan never slows them down. On the free plan, each Zap still stops at one trigger and one action.
What Zapier does not do for this app. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing contact or conversation in New Coworker. There is no action to update or delete anything: the two actions send a lead and send a text, nothing more. Zapier also marks the app as beta. And no Zap goes back over calls, emails or texts that came in before it was switched on.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
A handful of Zapier words carry this whole page. Each one, once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. With New Coworker: a finished call, an incoming email, or a text in or out.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, such as sending a text.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens. All four New Coworker triggers work this way.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval. New Coworker has none on Zapier.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a New Coworker Zap really costs
New Coworker is not a premium app, so it runs from the free plan. Zapier bills in tasks, and the triggers never add to the count.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- TriggerNever counted as a task
- Failed actionNot counted against the plan
- Premium appNo, New Coworker runs on the free plan
A task is counted each time an action completes. A finished call that starts your Zap costs nothing by itself. An action that fails is not counted. In a Zap with several actions, each successful one counts on its own: a Zap that sends a text and then adds a row uses two tasks per run. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action means a paid plan. The interval grid below is the one Zapier applies to polling triggers; it does not apply to the four instant triggers of this app.
Connect your New Coworker account to Zapier
- 01
Start from the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your New Coworker account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that uses the app.
- 02
Find New Coworker
Search New Coworker in the dialog, pick it and click Add connection. You need an account on New Coworker, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to New Coworker in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is then ready: every New Coworker step in your next Zaps reuses it, and a trigger test brings back the three most recent items of the account.
Your first Zap: a team alert for selected calls
GoalWhen your AI coworker finishes a call that matches a condition you set, a message lands in your team chat with what the trigger returned.
- 01
Build: set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose New Coworker as the starting app and Call Completed as the event, then select the connection made above.
- 02
Test with a real call
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent calls of the connected account. Read what each one contains before deciding what to filter on.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon add Filter, then set its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare with. With a filter the Zap is multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the chat message
Add the action of your team chat that sends a message, pick the channel, then map in the call fields the trigger test actually returned.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each step once and check the message that arrives. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. Calls that ended before that moment are not sent.
New Coworker triggers on Zapier
4 events start a Zap when something happens in New Coworker, and 4 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Call Completed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a phone call handled by your coworker ends, with the summary and sentiment.”
Starts your Zap when a phone call handled by your AI coworker ends. Zapier describes it as arriving with the call summary and the sentiment, which is what makes it the trigger for call reporting.
New Inbound Email
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when your coworker's AI mailbox receives an email.”
Fires a Zap whenever the AI mailbox of your coworker receives an email. Use it to copy what lands there into the tools your team already watches.
New Inbound Text
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a customer texts your coworker's number.”
Runs your Zap when a customer texts your coworker's number. It turns each incoming text into something the rest of your tools can act on.
New Outbound Text
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when your coworker (or you) sends a text — useful for logging conversations to a CRM or spreadsheet.”
Fires for each text your coworker sends, and for the ones you send yourself from its number. Zapier itself points to it for logging conversations to a CRM or a spreadsheet.
New Coworker actions on Zapier
New Coworker gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Send Lead to Coworker
ActionIn Zapier“Sends a lead (or any event) to your coworker, starting your webhook-triggered AiFlows.”
Hands a lead, or any other event, to your AI coworker and starts the AiFlows you set up to react to incoming events.
Send Text Message
ActionIn Zapier“Sends an SMS from your coworker's phone number.”
Sends an SMS from your coworker's phone number, with the text exactly as you wrote it in the step.
When a New Coworker Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to New Coworker and lists no limit of its own for it. The cases below come from how Zapier works in general.
Four situations to know before switching a Zap on. For other problems, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Past calls and texts stay behind
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Calls, emails and texts from before are not picked up; moving that history is a separate job.A Zap that keeps setting itself off
As a general precaution: a Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again, and burn through your tasks fast.A sudden flood held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.Numbers outside the US
Send Text Message treats a number with no country code as a US number. For any other country, include the code in the To field.
