Noor Zapier integrationAutomate Noor with Zapier.

Noor Zapier integration: 1 action, no trigger, no search. Zapier can post a message into a Noor thread whenever something happens in another app, and that is all it does. Here is how to start such a Zap, what it costs on the free plan and where it trips up.

Overview

What the Noor Zapier integration does, and what it does not

The Noor Zapier integration lets other tools speak inside Noor, the team space built for focused work. Something happens elsewhere (a meeting starts, a form comes in, a deal closes) and Zapier drops a written message into the Noor thread you picked. It runs one way only: from your other apps into Noor.

Three results teams usually set up. A heads-up before every meeting: a calendar event starts and Send Text Message posts the agenda link in the team thread. New requests surfaced where people already talk: a form or support tool fires and the summary lands in Noor, formatted with Markdown so it reads cleanly. A status line after a job finishes: a payment, an export or a build ends in another app and the thread gets one short line about it.

The limits are just as clear. Noor gives Zapier no trigger, so nothing that happens in Noor can start a Zap: a new message, a reply or a new thread stays inside the app. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot read past messages. And the single action writes text only, so files, reactions or new threads stay out of reach.

If the one-way flow feels tight, our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons set out the criteria that matter, without naming a winner.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words from the Zapier editor, in plain English. The rest of the page uses them without repeating the definition.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. For Noor it always comes from another app, since Noor offers none.
Action
What the Zap does once started: here, writing a message into a Noor thread on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. Your plan counts tasks per month, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its app the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Connection
Your Noor account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that posts a message into Noor.
Cost

What a Noor Zap really costs

Noor is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Each message Zapier manages to post counts as one task; a failed post costs nothing.

  • Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
  • Noor premium? No, available on the free plan
  • Noor triggersNone: the Zap starts in another app

The trigger of the other app never costs a task, however often Zapier checks it. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, which means up to 100 Noor messages, but only in two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter to post only some events and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. How fast the message arrives depends on the trigger app: if its trigger is polling, the plan grid below sets the delay.

Connect

Connect your Noor account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Start from the Apps page

In Zapier, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Noor account, plus write access to any thread you do not own but want Zapier to post messages in.

  2. 02

    Find Noor

Type Noor in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the Noor side, and the last step of the connection happens there.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Noor in that tab and grant Zapier access to your account. The connection now sits on the Apps page, and every Zap that posts into Noor reuses it.

First Zap

Your first Zap: a meeting reminder in Noor

GoalWhen a calendar event starts, post its title and link in a Noor thread, but only for events your condition keeps.

  1. 01

    Build: pick the trigger app

Create a Zap and choose the calendar app and its event-start trigger. Noor cannot start a Zap, so the first step always lives in another tool. Select or add that tool's connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected calendar. Pick a real event with a title and a link, so the mapping later on uses actual values.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field, the rule and the value, for example only events whose title contains a keyword. This step makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the Noor action

Add Noor, event Send Text Message, choose the thread, then build the Message from the event fields. Markdown works, so bold the title and keep the link on its own line.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and check the message in Noor. When it looks right, click Publish. Only events that start after that moment will be posted.

Actions

The Noor action

Noor gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Send Text Message

Action

In Zapier“Sends a text message in selected thread”

Posts a written message into the Noor thread you choose, with any values from earlier steps dropped into the text. Markdown is supported, so headings, bold and links come out formatted.

When to use it
your team should see an event from another tool without leaving its Noor thread.
Watch out
the Message field is required, so map at least one value that is never blank.
When it breaks

When a Noor Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Noor and no Noor-specific limit is documented. The problems you will meet come from Zapier itself and from the app that starts the Zap.

Three cases cover most surprises. For anything else, our Zapier troubleshooting guide goes through the checks one by one.

  • Past events are never posted

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Events that already existed in the trigger app will not show up in Noor, and moving them is a separate job.
  • A burst of items stalls

If the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of posting each one.
  • An item is not posted twice

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen. An edited event that was already sent will not start the Zap again.

FAQ

Noor and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Noor Zapier integration free?
Yes. Noor is not a premium app, so it runs on Zapier's free plan, with 100 tasks per month and unlimited Zaps. Each message posted in Noor uses one task. The catch is size: the free plan builds two-step Zaps only, one trigger and one action. A filter that keeps only some events, or a second action, turns the Zap multi-step and requires a paid plan. A plain one-trigger, one-message Zap stays free.
02How many tasks does posting to Noor use?
One task per message that is posted successfully. The trigger in the other app costs nothing, and neither does Zapier checking that app for new items. If a post fails, it is not billed. On the free plan, 100 tasks a month means at most 100 Noor messages from all your Zaps combined. A Zap that posts to Noor and also sends an email spends two tasks each time it runs.
03Is the Noor Zapier integration real time?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, because Noor has no trigger of its own. If that app's trigger is instant, the message reaches Noor as soon as the event happens, on any plan. If it is a polling trigger, Zapier checks on a timer: every 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. A lightning bolt in the editor marks an instant trigger.
04What do you need to connect Noor to Zapier?
A Noor account, and write access to any thread you do not own but want Zapier to post in. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Noor and confirm with Add connection. Then sign in to Noor in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is stored once and reused by every Zap. You will also need a connection to the app that starts the Zap.
05Why does a Noor message arrive empty, or not at all?
Usually because the Message field got nothing to work with. Send Text Message requires that field, so if it only contains a value from the trigger and that value is blank on a given item, the post fails. Build the message from fields that are always filled, or add fixed text around them. Also check that the thread you selected still exists and that your account can still write in it.
06What if the Noor operation you need is missing?
Then Zapier cannot do it with Noor today. The integration has a single action, Send Text Message, and no trigger or search, so a Zap cannot react to activity in Noor, read old messages or manage threads. If your need is to push information into Noor, this covers it. If it is to get information out of Noor, look at whether another automation tool offers more for this app. Check the action list in the editor before you plan around a missing step.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Noor?
Judge on criteria, not on a ranking. Zapier gets a Noor message running fastest, with one action, a free plan and an editor anyone on the team can use. Its limit here is that Noor only receives, nothing comes out. Make and n8n price runs differently and handle longer flows with branches, which matters if one event should feed several tools at once. The real question is how many steps each event needs.
