PhoneVerify Zapier integrationAutomate PhoneVerify with Zapier.
The PhoneVerify Zapier integration has 1 action and no trigger: it checks a UK phone number in the middle of a Zap that another app starts. Below, what that action returns, what it costs, how to connect it and how to build the Zap around it.

What the PhoneVerify Zapier integration does
PhoneVerify checks UK mobile and landline numbers before they land in your systems. In Zapier, it is a single step you slot into a Zap: a number arrives from another app, PhoneVerify tells you whether it holds up, and the following steps decide what to do with it.
Three results come out of Validate Phone Number. A cleaner CRM: a lead from your website form is checked first, and only a number that passes goes into your sales tool. Fewer wasted calls: your call list in a spreadsheet gets the verification status next to each number, so the team skips the dead ones. Sorted leads: the yes or no flags PhoneVerify returns let a filter hold back a doubtful number, so only the ones that pass reach your next step.
The limits are just as clear. PhoneVerify has no trigger, so it can never start a Zap: another app has to bring the number in. There is no search either. It only handles UK numbers. And because the check always sits after a trigger from another app, a useful Zap quickly needs a filter or a third step, which means a paid plan.
If you are still choosing the tool, the Zapier review and Make vs Zapier pages are good next reads. Read them before you build anything.
Zapier words you will meet here
Seven Zapier words carry this page. One line each, then they are used as they are.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. PhoneVerify has none, so the trigger always comes from another app, such as a form.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started. Validate Phone Number is an action: it takes a number and hands back the result of the check.
- Task
- What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. A number checked by PhoneVerify is one task when the check goes through.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant one is reported by the app itself. It depends on the app that starts your Zap.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, such as a number PhoneVerify marked as valid.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a PhoneVerify Zap costs
Zapier bills tasks, one per action that works. Each number PhoneVerify checks successfully is one task; the trigger of the app that starts the Zap costs nothing.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on freeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- One number checkedOne task when the check succeeds
- Premium appNo, PhoneVerify works on the free plan
A two-step Zap, a form trigger then Validate Phone Number, costs one task per number. Add a CRM step after it and each number costs two. An action that fails is not counted. PhoneVerify is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan, which only builds two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. In practice the check is rarely the last step, so a filter or a second action, and with them a paid plan, come quickly. How often the trigger checks depends on the app that starts the Zap and on your plan.
Connect your PhoneVerify account to Zapier
- 01
Open your app connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your PhoneVerify account linked once, then reused by every Zap that checks a number.
- 02
Pick PhoneVerify
Type PhoneVerify in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. You need an existing PhoneVerify account: Zapier does not create one for you.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A tab opens on PhoneVerify. Sign in, then grant Zapier access to the account. If the account belongs to a colleague or to the company, make sure you have the rights to use it first.
Your first PhoneVerify Zap
GoalEach lead from your website form reaches your CRM only if PhoneVerify says its UK number holds up.
- 01
Create the Zap, set the trigger
Start a new Zap and pick the app that brings the number in, here your form tool and its new entry event. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent entries.
- 02
Add PhoneVerify
Click the plus icon, choose PhoneVerify and Validate Phone Number, select your connection, then map the phone number from the form into the Phone Number field.
- 03
Test the check
Run the test on a real entry and read what PhoneVerify returns: the verification status, a quality rating and the yes or no flags you will filter on.
- 04
Add the filter
Add a Filter step, then pick the field to look at, the rule and the value. Use a text rule on a text result. This step makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
- 05
Add the CRM, then publish
Add your CRM and its contact action, map the fields, test it, then click Publish. Entries that came in before stay unchecked.
The PhoneVerify action
PhoneVerify gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Validate Phone Number
ActionIn Zapier“Validates a UK phone number and returns verification status, quality, and actionable boolean flags.”
Checks one UK number, mobile or landline, and hands back its verification status, a quality rating and a set of yes or no flags the next steps can act on. The only field to fill is Phone Number, and it is mandatory.
When a PhoneVerify Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article and no specific limit to PhoneVerify. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general, and from the place the check sits in the Zap.
Four cases cover most surprises. If a run still fails, the Zapier troubleshooting page is where to start.
Old numbers are never checked
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Contacts already in your tools are never sent to PhoneVerify; cleaning that backlog is a separate job.A filter that never passes
Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Pick the wrong one for the PhoneVerify result and nothing gets through.A loop through your CRM
If the Zap writes into the very place its trigger watches, for example the CRM list that starts it, it sets itself off again and again and burns tasks.A bulk import held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of checking everything.
