NoPaperForms Zapier integrationAutomate NoPaperForms with Zapier.
NoPaperForms Zapier integration: 1 action, no trigger, no search. Zapier can create or update a lead in your admissions platform whenever another app captures a prospective student. Here is how to start that Zap, what it costs on the free plan and where it trips up.

What the NoPaperForms Zapier integration does, and what it does not
The NoPaperForms Zapier integration feeds your admissions platform with leads collected elsewhere. A prospective student fills in an ad form, a landing page or a spreadsheet row, and Zapier creates the matching lead in NoPaperForms, or updates it if it is already there. Data flows one way only: from your other tools into NoPaperForms.
Three results admissions teams usually build first. Every ad lead in the admissions pipeline: a social ad form captures an enquiry and Create/Update a Lead drops it into NoPaperForms, so counsellors work from one list. Event sign-ups turned into leads: a webinar or open-day registration tool fires and the attendee becomes a lead before the event even starts. A shared spreadsheet kept in sync: a recruiter adds a row after a school fair, and the lead appears on the platform without retyping.
What Zapier does not do for NoPaperForms: there is no trigger, so nothing that happens inside the platform (a new application, a stage change, a payment) can start a Zap. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up a lead before acting on it. The single action covers creating and updating; Zapier offers nothing to delete leads or manage applications.
If that one-way flow feels tight, our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons set out the criteria that matter, without naming a winner.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words from the Zapier editor, in plain English. The rest of the page uses them without defining them again.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. For NoPaperForms it always comes from another app, since the platform offers none.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: here, creating or updating a lead in NoPaperForms on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. Your plan counts tasks per month, and nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its own app the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your NoPaperForms account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that sends leads into the platform.
What a NoPaperForms Zap really costs
NoPaperForms is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Each lead Zapier creates or updates counts as one task; a failed attempt costs nothing.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- NoPaperForms premium? No, available on the free plan
- NoPaperForms triggersNone: the Zap starts in another app
The trigger in the other app never costs a task, however often Zapier checks it. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, so up to 100 leads, but only through two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter to keep out incomplete enquiries and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. How fast a lead arrives depends on the trigger app: if its trigger is polling, the plan grid below sets the delay.
Connect your NoPaperForms account to Zapier
- 01
Start from the Apps page
In Zapier, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a NoPaperForms account, plus write access to any part of the platform you do not own but want Zapier to add leads to.
- 02
Find NoPaperForms
Type NoPaperForms into the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the NoPaperForms side, and the last step of the connection happens there.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to NoPaperForms in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then sits on the Apps page, and every Zap that sends leads reuses it without asking again.
Your first Zap: every ad enquiry becomes a lead
GoalWhen someone fills in your lead ad form, create or update the matching lead in NoPaperForms, but only for enquiries your condition keeps.
- 01
Build: pick the trigger app
Create a Zap and choose your ad platform and its new-lead trigger, then the page and form. NoPaperForms cannot start a Zap, so the first step always lives in another tool.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent entries of the connected form. Pick a complete one, so the mapping uses real names, emails and courses rather than empty fields.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field, the rule and the value, for example only entries with a phone number. A text rule works on text only. This step makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the NoPaperForms action
Add NoPaperForms, event
Create/Update a Lead, then map each lead field from the form answers. Then check on a contact you already have whether it gets updated or duplicated. - 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and check the lead inside NoPaperForms. When it looks right, click Publish. Only enquiries received after that moment will be sent.
The NoPaperForms action
NoPaperForms gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Create/Update a Lead
ActionIn Zapier“This action will create/update a lead in NoPaperForms account”
Sends a prospective student into NoPaperForms, creating the lead if it is new or updating the existing record, with the details collected by an earlier step.
When a NoPaperForms Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to NoPaperForms and no app-specific limit is documented. The problems you will meet come from Zapier itself and from the app that starts the Zap.
Three cases cover most surprises. For anything else, our Zapier troubleshooting guide goes through the checks one by one.
Earlier enquiries never arrive
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Leads your form captured before are not sent, and moving that backlog is a separate job.A campaign spike stalls
If the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a big campaign, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of sending each lead.An edited entry is not resent
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen. An entry corrected after it was sent will not start the Zap a second time.
