Overview

What the NterNow Zapier integration is for

The NterNow Zapier integration connects NterNow, the service that lets prospective buyers and tenants tour a locked, vacant property on their own while keeping it secure, to the tools your team already uses. You build a Zap: an automation with one trigger and one or more actions that runs each time the trigger event happens.

Three results cover most uses. An agent who knows before the visitor arrives: Scheduled Visit fires when someone books a tour, and an email or chat message goes to the person in charge of the listing. A visit log nobody has to type: Customer Visit adds a row to a sheet or a record in your CRM each time a property is actually toured. Feedback that reaches the seller's file: Post Tour Survey passes what visitors said after the tour to wherever you prepare your seller reports.

What Zapier does not do here, and it matters: NterNow has no actions and no searches on Zapier. A Zap can read events out of NterNow, but it can never write back into it. You cannot create a visit slot, update a property or cancel a booking from a Zap. NterNow is always the first step, and the rest of the Zap happens in other apps.

One more point before you build: the three triggers are polling triggers, so on the free plan each event can take up to 15 minutes to reach your team. If that delay is a deal-breaker, the cost section below shows the interval on each plan, and our Zapier review and Make vs Zapier help you weigh the platforms.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Six words are enough for this page. Each one is explained once, here, then used as is.

Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it, for example a visit booked in NterNow.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. With NterNow, actions always happen in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completed successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what is new. All three NterNow triggers work this way.
Instant trigger
The opposite: the app calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for the next check. NterNow offers none on Zapier.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise. Adding one makes the Zap multi-step.
Cost

What a NterNow Zap really costs

NterNow is not a premium app: it runs on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only for actions in the apps that follow it.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • TriggerCosts nothing
  • Failed actionNot counted
  • Check delaySet by your plan

The trigger never costs a task, and Zapier checking NterNow for new items is free too, however often it looks. Each action that succeeds counts once; a failed one is not billed. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan. Since every NterNow trigger is polled, the plan also decides how fast you hear about a visit, as the grid below shows.

Connect

Connect your NterNow account

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your NterNow account linked once, then reused by every Zap that starts from NterNow.

  2. 02

    Pick NterNow

Type NterNow in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens straight on the NterNow sign-in screen.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in with your NterNow account and allow Zapier to use it. You need your own account, plus access to the properties you don't own but want the Zap to report on.

First Zap

Your first Zap: alert the agent when a tour is booked

GoalEvery tour booked in NterNow sends an email to the agent who handles the property.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose NterNow as the app that starts it and Scheduled Visit as the event. Select the NterNow connection you just set up.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent visits booked on your account, so you map the next steps on a real booking. Book a test tour first if the account has none.

  3. 03

    Add the email

Add your email app as the action and map the visit details from the trigger into the subject and body, so the agent sees which property and when at a glance.

  4. 04

    Log it

Add a spreadsheet row with the same details, to keep a running list of bookings. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step and read what came back. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. On the free plan, drop the spreadsheet step to stay at two steps.

Triggers

The 3 NterNow triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in NterNow. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Customer Visit

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when customer visit the property.”

Picks up each time a visitor actually tours one of your properties with NterNow. This is the visit itself, not the booking, so it tells you the door was opened and someone walked through.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
log every completed tour in your CRM, so the seller's file shows real visit numbers instead of guesses.
Watch out
on the free plan the news can arrive up to 15 minutes late, too late for a same-minute follow-up call.
2

Post Tour Survey

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when customer leave feeback about visit”

Starts your Zap when a visitor leaves feedback after a tour. It's the most useful of the three for sellers and landlords, because it carries what people thought, not only that they came.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
collect every answer in a sheet shared with the owner, or flag the visitor for a callback in your CRM.
Watch out
only surveys filled in after the Zap is published come through; earlier feedback stays in NterNow.
3

Scheduled Visit

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggered when a client schedules a visit.”

Fires when someone books a tour through NterNow. Of the three, it is the one that gives your team time to act before the visitor shows up.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
email the listing agent, add the slot to a shared calendar, or send the property sheet to the visitor ahead of the tour.
Watch out
a bulk import of bookings can return a huge batch at once, and Zapier's flood protection may hold it back.
When it breaks

When a NterNow Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to NterNow, so the failures below are Zapier's general limits, applied to an app with polling triggers only.

Most come down to timing and to what a polling trigger can and cannot see. If a Zap still misbehaves after these checks, our Zapier troubleshooting service takes over.

  • Past visits never show up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Tours and surveys from before stay in NterNow; moving that history is a separate job.
  • The alert comes late

Each NterNow trigger is polled. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a booking can wait that long before your team hears about it.
  • A big batch is held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running the Zap for each item.
  • The same visit only fires once

Zapier remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same visit never starts the Zap twice.

FAQ

NterNow Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the NterNow Zapier integration free?
Yes, within the free plan. NterNow is not a premium app, so you can connect it without paying. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that emails an agent when a tour is booked fits. Add a filter or a second action, such as logging the booking in a sheet, and it becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Only actions that succeed count against your tasks.
02How many tasks does a NterNow Zap use?
One task per successful action, nothing else. The NterNow trigger is free, and so is Zapier checking for new visits, however often it looks. Since NterNow has no actions of its own, every task you spend is in the apps that come after it. A Zap that sends one email per booked tour costs one task per booking. A Zap that emails and logs the same booking costs two. A failed action is not counted.
03Is the NterNow integration real time?
No. All three NterNow triggers are polling triggers: Zapier asks NterNow for new items at a fixed interval set by your plan. That is every 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also change how often it checks, and run a check by hand from the editor. The trigger type comes from the app and cannot be switched to instant from Zapier.
04What do you need to connect NterNow to Zapier?
A NterNow account of your own, plus access to any property you don't own but want the Zap to report on. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for NterNow, sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. Then test the trigger: Zapier brings back the three most recent items on the account, so make sure there is at least one booking, visit or survey to pick from.
05Why don't old NterNow visits trigger the Zap?
Because a Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Visits, bookings and surveys that already existed in NterNow are never picked up, even if you publish the Zap minutes after them. Zapier also remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same visit never starts the Zap twice. To bring older data into another tool, plan a separate one-off export rather than waiting for the Zap.
06What if the NterNow operation you want doesn't exist?
Then Zapier cannot do it for this app. NterNow offers no actions and no searches on Zapier, only three triggers. Nothing can be created, changed or looked up inside NterNow from a Zap: no new visit slot, no cancellation, no property update. Those stay manual in NterNow. What Zapier can do is carry NterNow events out to other tools. Before building around the gap, check whether Make or n8n offers that operation for NterNow.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for NterNow?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. Zapier offers NterNow ready to use, with 3 triggers and no code, and its free plan covers simple two-step Zaps. The trade-off is timing: the triggers are polled, so speed depends on the plan you pay for. If you need many steps per visit or large volumes, compare pricing and what Make and n8n offer for NterNow before deciding, since on Zapier each extra action adds a task.
