One AI Zapier integration: 0 triggers, 3 actions, 0 searches. One AI works on text in the middle of a Zap: it summarizes what you give it, reads an article to say whether its tone is positive or negative, and sorts texts into groups by meaning.

What the One AI Zapier integration actually does
One AI is a language service that analyzes and transforms text. On Zapier it adds three steps you place after a trigger from another app: one writes a summary of a text, one gives the overall sentiment of an article from its address, and one adds a text to a named collection where One AI groups items by what they mean.
Three results people build with it. A short version of long messages: a support request or a long email goes through Summarize, and the team channel gets the gist instead of the full wall of text. A tone check on press coverage: every new article about your brand from a feed goes through Sentiments, and the result lands next to the link in a tracking sheet. Themes in open answers: survey or feedback text sent to Clustering piles up in one collection, where One AI sorts it by meaning.
What Zapier does not do for One AI matters as much. There is no trigger, so One AI never starts a Zap: another app always comes first. There is no search, so a Zap cannot read back a collection or the groups One AI has formed. And the listing says nothing on text length limits or languages; test on your real content before relying on it.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are in plain English, once, before the rest of the page uses them.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. One AI has none, so the trigger always comes from another tool.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts. All three One AI steps are actions: they run after the trigger, one after another.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action your Zap completes successfully; your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant trigger
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming item meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your One AI account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every One AI step in every Zap you build.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What it really costs you
Short version: each One AI step that succeeds costs a task, and passing its result on to another tool makes the Zap multi-step.
- Trigger (another app)0 tasks
- Each One AI step that succeeds1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap
- Premium appNo
The trigger of your Zap never costs a task. Each action that succeeds counts once, One AI steps included: a Zap with a trigger, Summarize and a chat message uses two tasks per item, and an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. Clustering can live in a two-step Zap, since it stores the text in One AI; Summarize and Sentiments usually need a step after them to be useful, which takes a paid plan. One AI is not a premium app. How often the first step is checked depends on the trigger app and on your plan.
Connect your One AI account in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a One AI account before you start; Zapier only links an account that already exists.
- 02
Find One AI
Type One AI in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. Zapier keeps this connection and reuses it for every One AI step you add later.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A tab opens on One AI. Sign in with your account and grant Zapier access to it. Back in Zapier, the connection shows on the Apps page, ready for a first Zap.
Your first One AI Zap, step by step
GoalEach long email to the support inbox is summarized, then the summary is posted in the team channel.
- 01
Build: pick the starting app
Create a Zap and pick the app and event that start it, here a new email in the support inbox. One AI has no trigger, so the first step always belongs to another tool.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account; pick a real, long email so the summary is worth reading.
- 03
Add Summarize
Add One AI as the next step, choose Summarize and map the text of the email into Input. Test the step and read the summary that came back.
- 04
Post the summary
Add a Slack action and map the summary into the message. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Test it once.
- 05
Publish
Publish the Zap to switch it on. Each new email then uses two tasks: one for the summary, one for the message in the channel.
The 3 One AI actions
One AI gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Clustering
ActionIn Zapier“Adds item to a clustering collection”
Adds a piece of text to a named collection in One AI, where items are grouped by their meaning rather than their exact words.
Sentiments
ActionIn Zapier“Gets an article sentiments, positive or negative”
Reads an article from its web address and tells you whether its overall tone is positive or negative.
Summarize
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Summary of a Text”
Writes a summary of the text you hand it, so the next step can share the short version instead of the original.
When a One AI Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article and no specific limit to One AI. What goes wrong comes from the required fields and from the way every Zap works.
Four cases cover most One AI Zaps that misbehave. If yours matches none of them, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
The step has nothing to work on
Summarize needs text, Sentiments needs an article address and Clustering needs both a collection name and a text. A trigger that does not carry them leaves the step empty.Feedback ends up in two collections
Clustering files each text under the Collection Name you type. Two Zaps with slightly different names split the same feedback into separate collections.Old messages are never processed
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Emails, articles or answers from before are not summarized or sorted; that backlog is a separate job.A big batch is held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back before One AI sees them.
