Panda IDX Zapier integrationAutomate Panda IDX with Zapier.
Panda IDX Zapier integration in one line: 1 trigger, 0 actions, 0 searches. New Contact hands each new Panda IDX contact to another app. It is a polling trigger, so how fast it reacts depends on your Zapier plan, and the free plan is enough to start.

What the Panda IDX Zapier integration does
Panda IDX is software built for real estate agents. On Zapier, the no-code tool that links apps together, it exposes a single event, New Contact. Each new contact in your Panda IDX account can travel to another app: a sheet, a mailbox, a team chat. Nothing travels back the other way.
Three things agents and brokerages typically build on that one trigger. A shared contact log. Every new contact lands as a row in a spreadsheet the whole office can read, sorted and annotated outside Panda IDX. A welcome nobody has to type. New Contact feeds an email app, so the person gets a first message without an agent copying details by hand. A heads-up for the team. A message in the office chat tells colleagues a new contact came in, so the right agent picks it up.
Now the limits, stated plainly. Panda IDX has no action on Zapier: a Zap cannot create, update or tag a contact in Panda IDX. It has no search either, so a Zap cannot look a contact up partway through. And New Contact only covers new contacts; a change to an existing one does not start anything.
The trigger also works by polling. Zapier asks Panda IDX for new contacts at a fixed interval, so a contact reaches the next app at the following check, not the second it is created.

Zapier vocabulary, in one minute
Seven words do the heavy lifting on this page. Each gets one plain line here, then is used as is.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Panda IDX offers one: New Contact.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, always in another app here.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action completed successfully; your plan's count is a count of those, nothing more.
- Polling or instant
- A polling trigger, like New Contact, is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived matches your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Panda IDX Zap costs
Panda IDX is not reserved for paid plans, so it works on the free plan. Your bill depends on what happens after New Contact, never on the trigger itself.
- Free plan100 tasks a month
- Free plan Zap size2 steps: 1 trigger, 1 action
- Panda IDX on the free planYes, not a paid-only app
- Cost of New Contact0 tasks
The trigger never costs a task, and Zapier checking Panda IDX for new contacts costs nothing either, however often it looks. Each action that succeeds in the next app counts as one task; a failed one does not. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only, and checks every 15 minutes. Log the contact and also email it, or add a filter, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Paid plans also check more often, as the grid shows.
Connect Panda IDX to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Go to the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. A connection is your Panda IDX account linked once, then reused by every Zap that relies on it.
- 02
Find Panda IDX
Search for Panda IDX in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need an existing Panda IDX account; Zapier links to it and does not create one.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Panda IDX in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access. If the contacts you want belong to a colleague's account, you need access to them in Panda IDX first.
Your first Panda IDX Zap
GoalLog every new Panda IDX contact in a shared sheet, then send that person a welcome email.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Panda IDX as the starting app and New Contact as the event, then choose the Panda IDX connection you just added.
- 02
Test on real contacts
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the next steps on an actual contact rather than a guess.
- 03
Add the sheet row
Add a Google Sheets step that creates a row, and map the contact details Panda IDX returned into the columns of your shared log.
- 04
Add the welcome email
Add a Gmail step for the first message. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan; on the free plan keep one of them.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back before moving on. Then publish the Zap to switch it on; the first check happens at your plan's interval.
The Panda IDX trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Panda IDX. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Contact
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when there is a new contact.”
Starts the Zap when a new contact shows up in your Panda IDX account. Each one is handed to the next step once, which keeps your sheet, your inbox or your team chat in line with the people coming into Panda IDX.
When a Panda IDX Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Panda IDX and documents no limit specific to the app. The failures to expect are the ones every polling Zap shares.
Four cases to know before you switch the Zap on. If something still goes wrong, start with Zapier troubleshooting.
Existing contacts are not imported
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Contacts already in Panda IDX never come through; moving that backlog is a separate job.A bulk import is held back
Add a big batch of contacts at once, after a migration from another CRM for example, and Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch back.No contact twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same contact does not start the Zap twice. Your sheet will not fill with duplicates.A loop through other Zaps
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches sets itself off again and again. Panda IDX has no action, but chained Zaps elsewhere can still loop.
