Parasocials Zapier integrationAutomate Parasocials with Zapier.
The Parasocials Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers and 1 action, with no search step. Both triggers are instant: one fires on every new clip, the other only on clips the AI scores as viral. The action fetches any clip again from its ID.

What the Parasocials Zapier integration does
Parasocials watches live streams and uses AI to spot the moments with viral potential, turning them into clips next to the ones you cut yourself. Connected to Zapier, those clips stop living only inside Parasocials: each new one can be announced, logged or passed to your editing workflow automatically the moment Parasocials creates it.
Three outcomes come up most. A community that hears it first: New Viral Clip starts a Zap that posts the moment to Discord or Slack. A clip log that writes itself: New Clip records every clip, manual or AI-detected, as a row in a spreadsheet your editor works from. A clip you can call back later: Get Clip by ID pulls one clip again from its ID, for a Zap that runs long after the stream.
Where it stops. There are only two triggers and one action: Zapier cannot create, edit or delete clips in Parasocials, and there is no search step to find a clip by title or date. Get Clip by ID needs the exact clip ID. And a Zap never picks up clips made before you switched it on. Everything else, from editing to posting the clip, happens in the apps you connect after the trigger.
Both triggers are instant, which is the good part: your plan does not slow them down. If you are still choosing an automation tool, read Make vs Zapier and our Zapier review.
Zapier words in one minute
Seven terms carry this page. Each gets one plain line here, then is used as is.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it to come in.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's allowance is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- Zapier checks a polling trigger on a timer. An instant trigger is pushed by the app itself, the moment the event occurs.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Parasocials Zap costs
Parasocials is not reserved for paid plans: it works on the free plan. You pay for actions, never for clips arriving.
- Triggersfree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Failed actionnot counted
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2-step Zaps
- Filter or second actionmulti-step Zap, paid plan
New Clip and New Viral Clip never cost a task, however many clips your stream produces. Each action that succeeds counts as one: posting to Discord is one task, adding a spreadsheet row is another. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a second action or a filter and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns polling triggers only; it does not apply to either Parasocials trigger.
Connect Parasocials to Zapier
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Parasocials account, plus access to any channel or clips you do not own and want a Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick Parasocials
Type Parasocials in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Parasocials side to link both accounts.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Parasocials in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is saved, and both triggers and the action reuse it in every Zap.
Your first Parasocials Zap, step by step
GoalAnnounce every viral moment to your team chat and log it in a spreadsheet for the editor.
- 01
Build: pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Parasocials as the app and New Viral Clip as the event that starts it, then select your Parasocials connection.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent clips of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real clip instead of guessing.
- 03
Add the chat message
Add your chat app as the first action and map the clip's details into the message. Keep it short: the point is to get viewers to the moment fast.
- 04
Add the log row
Add a spreadsheet action and map the clip details, including its id, into columns. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each action and read what came back before moving on, then Publish the Zap to switch it on. If anything misbehaves later, start with Zapier troubleshooting.
The 2 Parasocials triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Parasocials, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Clip
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when any new clip is created — manual or AI-detected viral.”
Starts the Zap whenever any new clip appears in Parasocials, whether you cut it yourself or the AI detected it as viral. It is the wide net: nothing that becomes a clip escapes it, which makes it the right base for an archive or a full log.
New Viral Clip
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a clip is detected as viral by the AI scoring model.”
Fires only when the AI scoring model of Parasocials flags a clip as viral. Clips you cut manually stay out, so this is the narrow, high-signal entry point for anything you want to push to an audience.
The Parasocials action
Parasocials gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Get Clip by ID
ActionIn Zapier“Fetches a single clip by its Parasocials clip ID.”
Fetches a single clip from Parasocials using its clip ID, so the following steps can work with its details again. It is the way back to a clip outside the moment it was created.
When a Parasocials Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Parasocials and lists no app-specific limit. What breaks comes from general Zapier rules, plus the overlap of the two triggers.
Four cases explain most surprises. Knowing them before a big stream saves a messy channel.
Past clips are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to clips created after it is switched on. Clips from earlier streams are never sent; moving that backlog is a separate job.The same moment, twice
A viral clip is also a new clip. Two Zaps, one on New Clip and one on New Viral Clip, will both run for it and both spend tasks.A burst gets held back
If a long stream or an import suddenly produces a huge batch of clips, Zapier's flood protection can pause the trigger instead of running everything. The clip ID is wrong
Get Clip by ID needs the exact Parasocials clip ID. A mistyped or unmapped value finds nothing; map the id field from a trigger instead.
