What the Peerbie Zapier integration is good for
The Peerbie Zapier integration plugs your Peerbie workspace into your other tools. Peerbie keeps customers, events, issues, posts and team tasks in one place. Zapier, an automation service, reacts to anything new in those five areas and can also create each of them from outside. Ten operations, open on the free plan.
Customers that arrive with a to-do. New Customer followed by Create Task means every customer added in Peerbie lands with a first task already waiting in a team.
Issues that reach the right inbox. New Issue pushes each fresh issue to the chat channel or helpdesk where someone actually handles it, while Create Issue does the reverse and logs problems reported in a form.
A network feed that stays alive. Create Post publishes to your Peerbie network from another source, such as a release note or a blog article, so colleagues read it where they already work.
What it does not do: every action creates, none updates or deletes, so a record changed elsewhere will not be changed in Peerbie. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot look up an existing customer or task before acting. And the triggers only cover new items, not edits.

Eight Zapier terms, in plain words
Zapier has its own vocabulary. These are the words you will meet while building a Peerbie Zap.
- Zap
- A Zapier automation: one trigger, then one or several actions that run every time the trigger event takes place.
- Trigger
- The event that sets a Zap off, such as a new issue in Peerbie. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that creates, sends or writes something, here a customer, event, issue, post or task.
- Task
- Zapier's billing unit: one action completed successfully. The monthly allowance of a plan is counted in tasks.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a scheduled check. All five Peerbie triggers work this way.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval. Peerbie has none.
- Filter
- A step that only lets the Zap continue when the incoming data meets a condition you define, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Peerbie account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Peerbie step across all your Zaps.
What a Peerbie Zap costs in tasks
Watching Peerbie is free: none of the five triggers uses a task. The bill starts with the actions, one task each time one of them succeeds.
- Peerbie triggerNo task
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan allowance100 tasks a month
- Longest free Zap2 steps
A Create Task that goes through costs one task; one that fails costs nothing. Peerbie is not limited to paid plans, so the free plan works: 100 tasks a month and Zaps of exactly two steps. Add a filter, a second action or a search step and you have a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below applies to polling triggers only. Since Peerbie's are instant, they start your Zap straight away, whatever the plan.
Link your Peerbie account to Zapier
- 01
Start from the Apps page
Make sure you already have a Peerbie account. Then go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection to open the dialog that lists the apps.
- 02
Find Peerbie
Search for Peerbie by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Peerbie side so you can sign in with your usual login.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to Peerbie and grant Zapier access to the account. For teams or records you do not own, you also need read or write access, or the Zap will not reach them.
Your first Peerbie Zap: turn urgent issues into tasks
GoalEvery new Peerbie issue that matches a condition becomes a task for the team that fixes it.
- 01
Build: choose the trigger
Start a new Zap. Pick Peerbie as the app that starts it and New Issue as the event, then select the Peerbie connection you made earlier.
- 02
Test it on a real issue
Run the trigger test. Zapier pulls the three most recent issues of the account, and you build the rest of the Zap on one of those real issues.
- 03
Filter what matters
Use the plus icon to add a Filter. Pick the field to look at, a text rule and the value to match. This third step makes the Zap multi-step, so a paid plan is needed.
- 04
Add Create Task
Add Create Task as the action and map the issue's title into Title, the only required field. The task then carries the same wording as the issue that caused it.
- 05
Test and publish
Test the action and check the task that came back. Then click Publish. From now on, each new issue that passes the filter gets its task, while older issues stay as they are.
The five Peerbie triggers
5 events start a Zap when something happens in Peerbie, and 5 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Customer
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new customer is created”
Starts a Zap whenever someone adds a customer in Peerbie. The new record goes straight to the next step, ready to be copied into a CRM, an invoicing tool or a welcome sequence.
New Event
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Trigger for new event”
Reacts to each event added in Peerbie, which is handy when your team plans meetings or deadlines there but the rest of the company reads another calendar.
New Issue
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new issue is created”
Fires on every issue created in Peerbie. It is the natural starting point for anything support or quality related, because the issue reaches the right people without anyone forwarding it.
New Post
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new Post is created in PeerBie”
Picks up each post published in Peerbie. Internal news, announcements and updates posted there can then travel to people who rarely open the app.
New Task
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new task is created”
Kicks in when a task is created in Peerbie, so the person or tool that tracks workload hears about it without a manual export.
The five Peerbie actions: all of them create
Peerbie gives you 5 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Customer
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Customer in Peerbie Account”

ActionIn Zapier“Create an event in Peerbie Application”
Puts an event in your Peerbie calendar from data held elsewhere, like a booking form or another calendar.
Create Issue
ActionIn Zapier“Create an Issue in your Peerbie account”
Logs a new issue in Peerbie with a title and a description, both required.
Create Post
ActionIn Zapier“Create Post to Your Peerbie network”
Publishes a post on your Peerbie network, with a required title and body.
Create Task
ActionIn Zapier“Create a Task in a Team in your Peerbie account”
Opens a task in a team of your Peerbie account. Title is the only required field.
When a Peerbie Zap stops behaving
No Zapier help article is attached to Peerbie. The cases below come from Zapier's general limits and from the required fields of the Peerbie actions.
Read these four before publishing. Other symptoms are covered on Zapier troubleshooting.
Records from before the Zap stay out
A Zap only sees what happens after it is switched on. Customers, issues or tasks that already existed in Peerbie are never picked up; bringing them over is a separate job.Create and New on the same record type
New Task with Create Task, or New Post with Create Post, in one account: the Zap writes where its trigger listens, fires again and again, and eats your tasks.A bulk import gets held back
After a migration or a mass import, a trigger that returns a huge batch at once can be stopped by Zapier's flood protection.A required field left empty
Each action has required fields: Customer Name, Title with both dates, title with description, title with body, Title. One empty field and the action fails, which at least costs no task.
