Pensight Zapier integrationAutomate Pensight with Zapier.
The Pensight Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches. All three are instant: Pensight warns Zapier itself when a client orders or a form comes in, so even a free plan reacts without waiting for a timed check.

What Pensight can hand to the rest of your tools
Pensight is a platform where independent online educators sell what they know. Plugged into Zapier, it becomes a starting point: three events inside Pensight (a first order begun, an order submitted, a form filled in) can each set off work in your other apps, with no copy and paste in between.
A warm lead list that builds itself. New Client Started Their First Order fires when someone begins a first order, even one they never finish. That is the person to follow up with, and the Zap can push them to your CRM or your inbox.
A clean after-sale routine. Client Submitted an Order fires on each new order, which is the right moment to log the sale in a sheet or send the buyer a thank-you.
Sign-ups that land where you work. A User Submitted Form Result picks up form results, such as a sign-up email, and moves them to the list or sheet you actually read.
Now the limit, and it is a hard one. Pensight only talks on Zapier: there is no action and no search. Zapier cannot create a client, edit an order or look anything up inside Pensight. Every Zap you build here starts in Pensight and does its work somewhere else.
To weigh Zapier against its two usual rivals, see Make vs Zapier and n8n vs Zapier.
Zapier words in plain English
Seven terms come back all over this page. Here is what each one means, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Pensight offers three of them.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app here.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
- Instant vs polling
- An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens. A polling one is checked by Zapier on a timer.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Pensight Zap really costs
The Pensight side is free to listen to: a trigger never costs a task, so orders and form results can pour in without touching your count.
- Pensight trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
What you pay for is the work done in your other apps. Each action that succeeds counts once, so a Zap with three actions eats three times the tasks of a Zap with one. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only: add a filter and you need a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns polling triggers, and all of Pensight's are instant, so it does not slow them down.
Link your Pensight account to Zapier
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A connection is your Pensight account linked once, then reused by every step that touches Pensight.
- 02
Find Pensight
Type Pensight in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. You need a Pensight account of your own before this step goes anywhere.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
A new tab opens on Pensight. Sign in, then grant Zapier access to the account. If the Zap must reach things you do not own yourself, make sure your login can read them.
Your first Zap: new Pensight sign-ups into a sheet
GoalEach form result sent through Pensight lands as a new row in a spreadsheet, but only when it carries an email.
- 01
Pick the app and the event
Start a new Zap, choose Pensight as the app that starts it, and A User Submitted Form Result as the event. Select the connection you made earlier.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent form results of your account, so you can pick a real one and map from actual data instead of guesses.
- 03
Add the filter
Add a Filter step from the plus icon. Set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Pick a text rule for text, or the filter will never pass. This step needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the action and map it
Add the spreadsheet app and its row action, then drag values from the Pensight step into the matching columns. Each row written will count as one task.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When it looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on. Going further with the editor is the job of the Zapier training.
The 3 Pensight triggers
3 events start a Zap when something happens in Pensight, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Client Started Their First Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a client starts (but not necessarily completes) their first order. Useful for collecting inbound leads.”
Starts your Zap when a client opens their very first order with you, whether or not they go through with it. You get the name in your pipeline at the point of interest, not only once money has changed hands.
Client Submitted an Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when client submits a new order. Useful for post-checkout actions.”
Fires each time a client sends in a new order, so every purchase can kick off the chores that come after checkout. Unlike the first-order trigger, this one keeps firing for returning clients too.
A User Submitted Form Result
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user submitted a form. Useful for inbound lead collection, i.e. sign up emails.”
Catches a form someone filled in on your Pensight pages and passes the result along. The typical use is a sign-up: a visitor leaves an email, and that email needs to reach the place where you nurture contacts.
When a Pensight Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to Pensight, so the traps below are the general ones that apply here.
None of them is exotic. They are the reasons a Zap looks fine in testing, then misses something in real use. For a step-by-step method when one goes wrong, the Zapier troubleshooting page covers it.
Old orders never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Orders and form results from before that day stay out, and moving them is a separate job.A launch day floods the trigger
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold the run back.Nothing can be written back
Pensight has no action on Zapier. A Zap cannot update an order or tag a client inside Pensight; that part stays manual in Pensight itself. The filter quietly never passes
Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Picking the wrong one stops every run without an obvious error.
