Personize Zapier integrationAutomate Personize with Zapier.
The Personize Zapier integration has 0 triggers, 2 actions and 0 searches. Zapier can feed Personize but cannot listen to it, so every Zap starts in another app. It works on the free plan, and this page shows what each run costs and where it breaks.

What the Personize Zapier integration is for
Personize runs ready-made AI agents on top of your own data. Zapier is the pipe that brings that data in, without code. You build a Zap, an automation that starts on an event in one app and then runs steps in others. On the Personize side there are exactly two steps to pick from, both of them writing into Personize.
Two jobs come up first. A memory that grows with every note: call summaries, support replies or form answers land in Personize through Memorize, which pulls the useful facts out of raw text and files them against the right kind of record. Records that match your CRM: Sync Properties pushes the properties of a contact or a company from the tool where they live into the Personize collections you choose, so the agents read the same values your team does.
Put together, a third result follows: agents in Personize that reason on fresh data instead of an old export.
What Zapier does not do for Personize matters just as much. It has no Personize trigger, so nothing that happens in Personize can start a Zap; the starting event always comes from another tool. It has no search either, so a Zap cannot read back what Personize stored. And it only moves what happens after the Zap is switched on, never your history. If you are weighing other platforms, the n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons are the place to start.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back all over this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- Your automation on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. With Personize it always lives in another app, such as a new row or a new form answer.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts. Memorize and Sync Properties are the two actions Personize offers on Zapier.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's number counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by its app, so the Zap does not wait.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Personize account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Personize step in every Zap you build.
What a Personize Zap really costs
Personize is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, and only completed actions count.
- Triggernever counted
- Successful action1 task each
- Failed actionnot counted
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- Personizenot premium, works on the free plan
The trigger in the other app never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks on a polling trigger, however often they run. Each successful Personize action counts once: a Zap that runs Memorize then Sync Properties uses two tasks per run. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is capped at two steps, one trigger and one action. Adding a filter or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
Connect Personize to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a Personize account first, plus access to anything in it you do not own yourself.
- 02
Pick Personize
Search Personize by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Personize side so you sign in with the account the Zap will write into.
- 03
Grant access
Sign in to Personize in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection then appears in your list, ready for both Personize actions without a second login.
Your first Personize Zap: account notes that feed your agents
GoalEvery new row your sales team adds to a shared sheet is memorized in Personize, but only when the notes column actually has text in it.
- 01
Build: pick the starting event
Create a Zap and choose the app where your notes live as the trigger, here a spreadsheet and its new-row event. Personize cannot start a Zap, so this first step always belongs to another tool.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the connected account, so you map the next steps on real notes rather than an empty sample.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a Filter step: pick the notes column and a rule that only lets rows with text through. The others stop there. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add Memorize
Add the
Memorizeaction, pick your Personize connection, choose the Content Type that matches an account, and map the notes column into Content. - 05
Test, then publish
Test the action and check in Personize that the facts were stored where you expected. Then publish the Zap to switch it on. Each new row with notes will run it once.
Personize actions on Zapier
Personize gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Memorize
ActionIn Zapier“Extracts and stores memories and schema-enforced properties from input data.”
Takes free text from an earlier step, picks out the facts worth keeping and stores them in Personize, shaped by the properties your schema expects for that kind of record.
Sync Properties
ActionIn Zapier“Synchronizes properties from your platform with the Personize memory system.”
Copies the properties of a record from the tool where it lives into Personize, so the agents work on the same values as your team.
When a Personize Zap breaks
Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to Personize. The failures you will meet are the general ones, and each has a plain cause.
Most of them come from timing and from the starting app, not from Personize. For the general method, the Zapier troubleshooting page walks through the diagnosis.
No catching up on the past
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Rows, notes or contacts that existed before are never sent to Personize; loading them is a separate job.A loop through the source app
If a later step writes back into the very sheet or list your trigger watches, the Zap sets itself off again and again, and the task count drains fast.Bulk imports held back
When the starting app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of sending it all to Personize.Same item, only once
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same row or contact is not memorized twice by a later check.
