Pipelyne Zapier integrationAutomate Pipelyne with Zapier.
The Pipelyne Zapier integration has 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. That single trigger, New Lead, is instant and works on the free plan. This page covers where you can send each lead, what it bills, and the few places where a Zap goes quiet.

What the Pipelyne Zapier integration actually does
Pipelyne builds questionnaires that hand your prospects an instant estimate. The integration with Zapier takes each lead who completes one of those questionnaires and passes it to another app of your choice. It is a one-way street: Pipelyne speaks, the rest of your tools listen.
A lead log nobody fills by hand. New Lead starts the Zap, and a spreadsheet gets one row per completed questionnaire, ready for the sales team to work through.
A team that hears about hot prospects. The same trigger can post a message in your team chat, so whoever handles quotes sees the request without opening Pipelyne.
A CRM that starts the follow-up. Point the lead to your CRM and the estimate request becomes a contact your reps can call.
Since New Lead is instant, a free account receives each lead as fast as a paid one; the plan only matters once the Zap grows past two steps. And because Pipelyne only sends data out, a Zap built on it cannot loop back into itself.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no action and no search for Pipelyne, so nothing can be written into it or looked up in it from a Zap. Leads collected before the Zap is switched on are never picked up either. For the wider picture, read Make vs Zapier and n8n vs Zapier.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words carry this page. Here they are in plain terms, before you open the editor.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap, here a lead finishing a Pipelyne questionnaire. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app since Pipelyne has none.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, and New Lead is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Pipelyne account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from a Pipelyne lead.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Pipelyne Zap really costs
Zapier bills tasks, not Zaps. New Lead never costs a task, and waiting for leads costs nothing either. Only an action that goes through is counted; one that fails is not.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Reserved for paid plans? No, Pipelyne works on the free plan
- Pipelyne triggers1 instant, 0 polling
So the bill depends on the app you send leads to. One action per lead means one task per lead; a second action doubles it. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action, which is enough for the simplest lead routing. Pipelyne is not reserved for paid plans. The interval grid below only applies to polling triggers, and New Lead is not one. Pick that receiving app with the task count in mind.
Connect Pipelyne to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. Have your Pipelyne account at hand, with access to the questionnaires whose leads you want the Zap to receive.
- 02
Pick Pipelyne
Type Pipelyne in the search box of the dialog, choose it in the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens on the Pipelyne side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Pipelyne in that tab, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and every Zap built on New Lead reuses it afterwards.
Your first Zap: every Pipelyne lead in a sheet and a chat
GoalEach prospect who completes a Pipelyne questionnaire is logged in a spreadsheet and announced to the sales team, without anyone copying it.
- 01
Build: choose the trigger
In a new Zap, pick Pipelyne as the app that starts it and New Lead as the event, select your connection, then choose the Questionnaire to watch. A lightning bolt marks the trigger as instant.
- 02
Test it on a real lead
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so the mapping is done on a real lead. If none comes back, fill in the questionnaire once yourself.
- 03
Add the spreadsheet row
Add the spreadsheet app as the first action and map what the trigger returned into its columns. This two-step version already runs on the free plan.
- 04
Add the team message
Add the chat message as a second action. It makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan, and each lead then costs two tasks instead of one.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each action once and read what came back in both apps. When everything looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on; only leads from that point onward will flow.
The Pipelyne trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Pipelyne, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead completes a questionnaire”
Each time a prospect completes one of your Pipelyne questionnaires, this trigger hands the new lead to Zapier. It is the only door out of Pipelyne, so every Zap you build with the app starts here.
When a Pipelyne Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Pipelyne, so the traps below are the general ones, applied to an app that only sends leads out.
With a single trigger and no action, most problems come from the setup, not from the connection. If a Zap still stays silent after these checks, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
Old leads never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads collected before that stay in Pipelyne; moving them elsewhere is a separate job.The wrong questionnaire is watched
New Lead listens to the Questionnaire you picked and nothing else. A lead from another questionnaire never reaches the Zap, which looks like a silent failure.A burst of leads gets held back
A sudden large batch of leads, after a campaign or an import, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running the Zap for each one.A second step on a free plan
Adding a second action, a filter or a search makes the Zap multi-step. On the free plan it cannot run that way; keep it at one action or move to a paid plan.
