Which dropshipping app should your Shopify store use in 2026?
Eight apps, what each plan really syncs, and what your store costs you every month.
The short answer: install DSers if you sell AliExpress products, then move to its Advanced plan ($19.90 a month) as soon as you run ads, because that's the first plan where prices and stock update on their own. Pick CJdropshipping if you want US warehouses with no subscription, and Shopify Collective if you'd rather resell other US Shopify brands with automatic tracking, for free. Go with AutoDS only when automating everything is worth roughly $90 a month including Shopify. On Shopify, catalog size isn't what decides it. Three questions do: does the app keep your inventory accurate, what does it add to your Shopify bill, and what does it leave behind when you uninstall it? We compared eight apps on those three points, using their official pricing and the most recent negative reviews from merchants.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link ever changes a score.

Scores on five criteria, weighted for a Shopify store. Starting prices checked in 2026 on official vendor pages or their Shopify app listing; the Shopify plan itself is not included.
How we compared and scored
A dropshipping app doesn't sit on the side: it writes into your Shopify store. It changes your prices, your inventory, your orders and sometimes your theme. So we compared these eight apps on what they do once connected, plan by plan. For each one, we read the official pricing page or the Shopify app listing (published by the vendor) to see what each plan actually syncs: prices, stock, tracking numbers, supplier orders.
Then we read the 1 and 2 star reviews on each Shopify listing and threads in the Shopify Community, newest first. They show what pricing tables don't: whole stores flipping to sold out, old compare-at prices coming back, themes changed without consent, charges after uninstalling. Replies posted by app vendors' staff on forums didn't count as reviews. Shopify integration carries the most weight, because an app that breaks your inventory costs you sales every single day.

DSers
DSers is the app Shopify pointed Oberlo users to when it shut down Oberlo, its own dropshipping app, in 2022. It imports AliExpress and 1688 products into your store, maps each variant to its supplier and places orders in bulk. Its Shopify listing shows 5.0 out of 5 from 6,413 reviews. The Basic plan is free with no end date: 3 stores and 3,000 products.
What almost nobody tells you: on Basic, nothing updates your prices and stock automatically. The supplier monitor runs every 24 to 36 hours and you fix prices by hand. Automatic price and stock sync starts on Advanced at $19.90 a month, with checks every 12 to 24 hours (6 to 12 hours on Pro). Advanced is also where you get a branded tracking page, so customers don't land on a Chinese carrier's site, plus 5 staff accounts.
Two known weak spots. The sync can untick "Continue selling when out of stock" on your products, and some merchants see the old compare-at price come back on products with variants. And in 2026, several negative reviews are about billing: a canceled trial that still got charged, a card requested right after install. The fix: if you set a round price on a product with variants, turn off automatic price updates for that product, or the old price comes back.
- Free plan: 3 stores, 3,000 products
- Automatic price and stock sync from Advanced
- Branded tracking page from Advanced
- Up to 100 suppliers per product on every plan
- ✓$0 app bill to launch your store
- ✓5.0 out of 5 from 6,000+ reviews on Shopify
- ✓Advanced drops to $15.90/mo billed yearly
- ✗No automatic price and stock sync on the free plan
- ✗AliExpress and 1688 only, so long shipping times
- ✗Recent reviews about charges after a canceled trial
The best starting point for a Shopify store selling AliExpress products. Stay on Basic while you hunt for a product, switch to Advanced the day you start ads: one missed stockout costs more than $19.90.
CJdropshipping
CJdropshipping is both an app and a sourcing agent: CJ buys, stores and ships for you, from its warehouses in China or its local warehouses, including in the US. The Shopify app is free to install; you pay for the product, shipping and a service fee on each order. The Plus ($15.99), Prime ($19.99) and Advanced ($59.99 a month) memberships are optional and add coupons, VIP products and sourcing requests. Its Shopify listing shows 4.9 out of 5 from 2,927 reviews, with only 2% one-star reviews.
Its real edge on Shopify is local stock: CJ quotes 2 to 3 days for products already sitting in a local warehouse. That matters more now that the US has ended the $800 de minimis exemption, so parcels shipped straight from China pay duties. Add product and packaging customization, useful when you want to build a brand rather than a catalog. Not for you if you need a fixed, predictable monthly cost: per-order fees vary by product.
The weak spot, from recent reviews: stockouts, an order stuck for 18 days, and a US warehouse that didn't carry the same item as the China warehouse. On the store side, one merchant saw the entire store flip to sold out after installing, and the most cited cause is inventory locations. A seller's field tip: test products with DSers, then move the winners to CJ for stock security and faster delivery.
- $0 subscription, fees per order
- Local warehouses, 2 to 3 days quoted on local stock
- Custom products and packaging
- 4.9 out of 5, only 2% one-star reviews
- ✓No fixed cost until you sell
- ✓Faster delivery on locally stocked items
- ✓A brand without buying inventory
- ✗Variable service fees on every order
- ✗Stockouts and stuck orders in recent reviews
- ✗Conflicts if the same product also sits in DSers
The right move from an AliExpress catalog to a real delivery promise, with no subscription. Keep it for your winners, and check local stock before each campaign.
Shopify Collective
Shopify Collective is Shopify's own answer to dropshipping: you resell products from other Shopify brands, the order goes to the supplier automatically and tracking numbers sync back on their own. It's free for eligible stores. Margins are set by the supplier and, according to Shopify, typically range from 20% to 50%. Shopify's help center presents it among its recommended dropshipping apps for US merchants. Its review page shows 4.4 out of 5 from 465 reviews.
The conditions are strict, and most comparisons skip them. You need an active Shopify plan, Shopify Payments with payouts turned on, and Network Intelligence enabled. Above all, you and your supplier must be in the same country and use the same currency: a US store resells US brands, a Canadian store resells Canadian brands. Collective doesn't handle digital products or gift cards, and doesn't work with Managed Markets or local pickup.
The weak spot, from recent reviews: supplier payments that never arrived, canceled orders, and sellers who learned they're on the hook for chargebacks from the supplier side. Products are branded goods, so margins are thinner than with AliExpress. Field tip: before you connect a supplier, place a test order on one product and check that the tracking number and the payout land where they should.
- Free, built by Shopify
- Orders sent to the supplier automatically
- Tracking numbers synced automatically
- Supplier margins of 20% to 50%, set by the brand
- ✓No app fee and no extra billing to cancel
- ✓Real brands instead of anonymous listings
- ✓No code left in your theme by a third party
- ✗Same country and currency as the supplier only
- ✗Shopify Payments required
- ✗You carry chargebacks, per recent reviews
The cleanest option for a US or Canadian store that wants branded products and zero app fees. Thinner margins and strict eligibility keep it behind DSers and CJ for most dropshippers.
Trendsi
Trendsi is a fashion-only dropshipping app, focused on women's clothing for the US market. The free plan lets you list up to 500 products, which is plenty to test a boutique; Pro at $29.90 a month removes the cap and adds advanced branding. Its Shopify listing shows 4.8 out of 5 from 1,828 reviews. The app is in English only.
Plan for the production time: the listing shows a 7 to 10 day lead time before items ship. That works for a boutique that sets clear expectations, less so for a store promising fast delivery. Trendsi may also bill you outside your Shopify invoice, so uninstalling alone doesn't stop every charge.
The weak spot, from recent reviews: sync issues, items flipping to out of stock, canceled orders, and wallet funds that couldn't be refunded. Field tip: keep your Trendsi wallet balance low, top it up as orders come in, and display the 7 to 10 day lead time on every product page.
- Free plan with 500 listed products
- Women's fashion for the US market
- Branding, advanced on Pro
- 4.8 out of 5 on Shopify
- ✓Test a fashion store at $0 app cost
- ✓Pro at $29.90 with no product cap
- ✓Niche catalog, easy to curate
- ✗7 to 10 day lead time before shipping
- ✗Wallet funds hard to get back, per reviews
- ✗Fashion only, English only
The pick for a women's fashion boutique selling in the US. Outside that niche, DSers or CJ cover more ground for less.
Syncee
Syncee is a supplier marketplace that plugs into your store: you pick products, the app imports them and passes orders on. Its suppliers are mostly in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. It's the only app in this ranking with the "Built for Shopify" badge, and Shopify's help center lists it among its recommended apps. To earn that badge, an app can't drop your store's Lighthouse speed score by more than 10 points.
The free plan imports 25 products, enough to try a supplier before paying. Basic costs $39.99 a month (or $360 a year) for 100 products, but only one supplier. Pro at $59.99 lifts that to 250 products and unlimited suppliers. Paid plans take no commission on your sales. Its Shopify listing shows 4.2 out of 5 from 552 reviews.
The weak spot, from recent reviews: paid orders never shipped, a supplier raising the price after the order, charges after uninstalling. The trap on Basic is the single supplier: if yours runs out of stock, you can't add a second one without upgrading. Field tip: use the free plan to order samples from two or three suppliers, then pay for Basic only with the one that shipped fast and right.
- The only "Built for Shopify" badge in this ranking
- Suppliers in the US, UK, EU, Canada and Australia
- Free plan with 25 products
- 0% commission on paid plans
- ✓Lower risk of slowing your store
- ✓Faster domestic shipping than China
- ✓Recommended in Shopify's own help center
- ✗One supplier only on the $39.99 Basic plan
- ✗Unshipped orders in recent reviews
- ✗Higher product costs than AliExpress
The safest app for your store's speed, with Western suppliers. Order a sample from each supplier before paying for a plan.
AutoDS
AutoDS pulls several suppliers into one app: AliExpress, US suppliers and its own catalog. It imports products, monitors prices and stock, and can place the supplier order without you. Its Shopify listing shows 4.6 out of 5 from 1,348 reviews, with 7% one-star reviews.
The listed price isn't the price you pay. AutoDS doesn't show plan prices on its own site; on its Shopify listing, Import 200 costs $26.90 a month for 200 products, but price and stock monitoring isn't listed on that plan. It only appears from Starter 500 at $39.90. Auto-ordering is a separate $9.90 monthly add-on. A store that wants what people buy AutoDS for pays $49.80 a month for the app, or $88.80 with Shopify Basic.
Two things to know. Some sellers report that plan limits count variants, not products: a product in 5 sizes and 4 colors would then use 20 slots, so check before importing. And recent reviews mention auto-orders erroring out, products showing sold out for no reason, and unexpected charges. Field tip: during the 3-day trial, import your products with the most variants and watch your counter before you pick a plan.
- Several suppliers in one app
- Price and stock monitoring from Starter 500
- Automatic supplier ordering (add-on)
- 3 stores on Advanced 1K
- ✓The most automation in this ranking
- ✓One tool for several product sources
- ✓4.6 out of 5 on Shopify
- ✗$49.80/mo minimum for monitoring plus auto-orders
- ✗Limits may count variants
- ✗Billing complaints in recent reviews
Worth it once your store sells enough that the time saved is worth $50 a month. For a store that's just starting, DSers covers the basics for free.
Zendrop
Zendrop bills in a way no other app here does: by the number of products linked to your store. On its Shopify listing, Beginner costs $29 a month for 1 to 20 linked products, Pro $49 for 21 to 100, Plus $79 beyond that. There's a Free plan, but it doesn't let you link a single product, so you can browse but not sell. Paid plans add branding. Its listing shows 4.5 out of 5 from 1,270 reviews.
Automated order processing starts on Pro, according to Zendrop's pricing page. With US warehouses, it's built for stores selling to US shoppers, which helps now that cheap parcels from China no longer enter duty-free. If your catalog is small and stable, Beginner is one of the cheapest ways to get branded parcels.
The weak spot, from recent reviews: orders never processed, stock shown that didn't exist, a charge during the trial, and one merchant writing that the app replaced the live theme without consent. Zendrop can also bill you outside Shopify. Field tip: duplicate your theme before installing, and check your bank statement, not just Shopify, the following month.
- Billed by number of linked products
- US warehouses
- Branding on paid plans
- Auto-processing from Pro
- ✓$29 a month for a 20-product catalog
- ✓Branded parcels without buying stock
- ✓4.5 out of 5 on Shopify
- ✗Free plan can't link any product
- ✗Auto-processing only from $49
- ✗Theme changed and off-Shopify billing in recent reviews
A solid fit for a small US niche store with few SKUs. Once you pass 20 products, CJ does the same job with no subscription.
Spocket
Spocket is a catalog of suppliers, mostly in the US and Europe, that plugs into Shopify. Orders are unlimited and Spocket takes no transaction fee. The app monitors prices and stock. For a US store, domestic suppliers mean faster delivery and no import duties on each parcel.
Price is its weak point. Starter costs $39.99 a month for just 25 unique products, Pro $59.99 for 250 ($288 a year, or $24 a month), Empire $99.99. Watch out: our Spocket review found that Starter limits you to AliExpress products; the US and EU suppliers, the whole point of Spocket, need a higher plan. Branded invoicing is listed on every plan on Spocket's site but only on Pro on its Shopify listing, so check it on your plan before paying. Spocket can also bill you outside your Shopify invoice, which means uninstalling alone won't stop the charges.
It's the lowest rated app in this ranking on Shopify: 3.6 out of 5 from 631 reviews, with 14% one-star reviews, and complaints about charges after canceling. Plan details are in our Spocket pricing breakdown. Field tip: if you want US or EU suppliers, go straight to Pro; only switch to yearly once the niche works, when Pro drops to $24 a month.
- US and EU suppliers
- Unlimited orders, 0% transaction fee
- Price and stock monitoring
- 19 languages
- ✓Domestic shipping instead of China
- ✓Suppliers already vetted for you
- ✓Pro at $24/mo billed yearly
- ✗Starter limited to AliExpress, 25 products
- ✗3.6 out of 5, 14% one-star reviews
- ✗Off-Shopify billing to cancel with the vendor
A useful catalog if you want vetted Western suppliers, but pricey per product and poorly rated by merchants. Compare with Syncee's free plan first.
What your store costs you each month
These totals are our math from official pricing, in US dollars. They add Shopify Basic ($39 a month, or $29 billed yearly) to the app and the add-ons you actually need. They leave out ads, product costs and payment fees. Shopify bills apps on your Shopify invoice every 30 days, in advance, each app on its own 30-day cycle.
- Shopify + DSers Basic: $39 a month. Bulk ordering, 7-day tracking sync, no automatic price and stock sync.
- Shopify + DSers Advanced: $58.90 a month, or $44.90 if you pay both yearly. Automatic sync, branded tracking page.
- Shopify + CJdropshipping: $39 a month plus per-order service fees, and $15.99 more with the Plus membership.
- Shopify + Collective: $39 a month, if your store and suppliers are in the same eligible country.
- Shopify + Trendsi: $39 a month on the free plan, $68.90 on Pro.
- Shopify + Zendrop Beginner: $68 a month up to 20 linked products, $88 from the 21st.
- Shopify + AutoDS Starter 500 + auto-order: $88.80 a month, or $1,065.60 a year.
- Shopify + Syncee Basic: $78.99 a month for 100 products from one supplier.
- Shopify + Spocket Pro: $98.99 a month, or $53 if you pay both yearly.
Remember the gap: between the cheapest AliExpress store and the fully automated setup, there's about $50 a month, or $600 a year. It only pays off if automation frees up hours you'd really spend selling.

Shopify holds your payouts
- Check which plan syncs prices and stock automatically.
- Add must-have add-ons to the listed price (AutoDS auto-ordering: $9.90).
- Spot the apps that bill outside Shopify: you'll have to cancel with the vendor.
- Duplicate your theme before installing any dropshipping app.
- Show shipping times and import fees before checkout, as Shopify's terms require.
- One product, one app: never import the same product into two apps.
Six settings that prevent the real problems
These issues come up again and again in the Shopify Community and in app reviews, and comparison articles almost never mention them. Each one has a fix, usually free.
The fixes
Products show sold out while the supplier has stock
InventoryThe most reported problem: the whole store flips to sold out after installing an app, sometimes even after uninstalling it. Before blaming the app, check your inventory locations in Settings, then Locations. With several locations, Shopify can count stock on the wrong one: set each variant's stock on the location your app updates.
Second check: after each sync, open a product and see if "Continue selling when out of stock" is still ticked. Merchants report DSers' sync unticking it, which makes the product unavailable. And if stock is "managed by DSers", you can't edit it in Shopify anymore: force a sync and wait about fifteen minutes before touching anything.
- Check first
- Settings, then Locations
One product, one app
OrdersYou can run DSers and CJdropshipping on the same store, and many people do. But never put the same product in both. One merchant reports CJ trying to fulfill an item imported through DSers. And an order mixing products from both apps ships in separate parcels with two tracking numbers: your customer gets two shipping emails and sometimes thinks an item is missing.
The clean setup: every product has one app in charge, and you note which in a Shopify product tag ("dsers" or "cj"). When you move a winner from DSers to CJ, unlink it in DSers first, then link it in CJ.
- The rule
- One app in charge per product
Clean your theme after uninstalling
SpeedShopify says it in its own help center: uninstalling an app doesn't automatically remove its code from your theme. That leftover code keeps loading and slows your store. Before any install, duplicate your theme: one merchant writes that an app replaced the live theme without consent.
After uninstalling, work on a theme copy. Search theme.liquid for the app's script tags, check the snippets folder, and remove the render or include call, not just the file. Also check app embeds in the theme editor and any Custom Liquid sections, which don't show up in the file list. Preview the home page, a product page, the cart and checkout before publishing.

- "Built for Shopify": 10 Lighthouse points max
Cancel with the vendor, then uninstall
BillingThe top complaint in recent reviews, across nearly every app here: charges after uninstalling or canceling. The mechanics are simple. Some apps bill outside Shopify (Spocket, Zendrop, Trendsi): uninstalling doesn't stop them, you have to cancel inside the app. And even for an app billed through Shopify, a pending charge can still land after you uninstall.
The right order: cancel inside the app, take a screenshot, uninstall, then check in Shopify under Settings, then Billing, that the line is gone from current charges. Next month, check your bank statement too. Refunds are handled by the app vendor, not Shopify: your screenshot is your only proof.
- Where to check
- Settings, then Billing
Be ready for a payout reserve
PayoutsNothing in Shopify Payments' terms bans dropshipping. The real risk is a reserve: Shopify holds part of your sales for a while, and long delivery times are among the factors its help center lists. One merchant had 20% of payouts held for 120 days, with this reason: they appeared to be dropshipping.
The fix: reply to the reserve email within the stated window, with proof of delivery and your real shipping times. If the email lists conditions, meeting them lifts the reserve automatically. And show delivery times from day one: clear timelines cut disputes, and disputes push reserves up.
- Case from the Shopify forum
- 20% held for 120 days
Don't show a Chinese carrier to your customer
BrandMerchants find out too late: the shipping email links to the Chinese carrier's site, which shows where the parcel came from. Your customer realizes the product comes from AliExpress and starts comparing prices.
DSers' branded tracking page, included from Advanced, keeps the customer on your site. Without it, the carrier link stays in the shipping email. Either way, show the real delivery time on the product page: Shopify's terms require you to display shipping times and import fees before checkout.

Shopify dropshipping apps · FAQ
What is the best dropshipping app for Shopify?
DSers, if you sell AliExpress products: free to start, rated 5.0 out of 5 by more than 6,000 merchants, and complete from its $19.90 Advanced plan. CJdropshipping comes right after if you want US warehouses with no subscription. The best way to choose is by where your products come from: AliExpress means DSers; nearby warehouses, CJdropshipping; other Shopify brands, Collective. What are the best free dropshipping apps for Shopify?
Four are truly usable without paying. DSers Basic allows 3,000 products but doesn't auto-sync prices and stock. CJdropshipping has no subscription and charges per order. Shopify Collective is free if you're eligible. Trendsi lists 500 fashion products for free. Watch out for Zendrop's Free plan: it can't link a single product to your store, so you can't sell.Is AutoDS better than DSers?
Not for most new stores. DSers costs $0 to $19.90 a month for AliExpress products. AutoDS costs $49.80 a month once you add price monitoring and auto-ordering, and covers several suppliers. A simple test: if you spend less than an hour a day processing orders, the $30 monthly gap doesn't pay for itself. Can I use more than one dropshipping app on the same store?
Yes, as long as each product belongs to one app only. Merchants running DSers and CJ together report CJ trying to fulfill a DSers item, and mixed orders shipping as separate parcels with two tracking numbers. Tag each product with the app in charge, and unlink it from the old app before linking it in the new one.Does Shopify have a built-in dropshipping tool?
Yes, Shopify Collective, free for eligible stores in 38 countries, including the US and Canada. The catch: your suppliers must be in the same country and use the same currency as you, and Shopify Payments must be active. Shopify closed Oberlo, its old dropshipping app, in 2022 and pointed users to DSers.Does Shopify Payments allow dropshipping?
Yes, nothing in Shopify Payments' terms bans it. The risk is a reserve on your payouts, and long delivery times are one of the factors Shopify lists. If it happens, answer Shopify's email within the deadline with delivery proof: if the email lists conditions, meeting them lifts the reserve automatically.Which Shopify dropshipping app ships fastest to US customers?
The ones with US stock. CJdropshipping quotes 2 to 3 days on items in a local warehouse, Zendrop has US warehouses, and Collective products ship from US brands. Trendsi, built for the US market, adds a 7 to 10 day lead time before shipping. Whatever the app, order a sample to your own address and publish the real delay.Do dropshipping apps slow down my Shopify store?
They can, especially after you uninstall them, because their code can stay in your theme. The "Built for Shopify" badge caps the speed loss at 10 Lighthouse points; Syncee is the only app here that carries it. After removing an app, clean theme.liquid, snippets, app embeds and Custom Liquid sections on a theme copy. How did the end of the $800 de minimis rule change AliExpress dropshipping?
Every parcel from China into the US now owes duties, even a $10 item. For an AliExpress store, that means higher landed costs on every order. Either build duties into your price and say so before checkout, or move winning products to US stock through CJdropshipping, Zendrop or Collective.
