How much does Instapage cost?

All four official tiers, what each one actually unlocks, and the real bill after twelve months.

Short answer: Instapage starts at $99/month on Create, or $79/month billed annually ($948 a year). Create publishes pages but runs no A/B tests. Testing starts on Optimize at $199/month, or $159 annually. And the features people associate most with Instapage, AdMap and heatmaps, sit on Convert, which is quote-only.

There is no free plan. The 14-day trial on Create and Optimize needs a credit card, and it flips to a paid subscription the moment you hit 2,500 visitors. We compared the official pricing page, the terms of service and five alternatives so you know what you will really pay.

Official pricing

What each Instapage plan costs

Instapage prices by unique monthly visitors. The bill grows with that counter, but the bigger jump is elsewhere: each tier unlocks a set of features the one below it simply does not have. Pages, conversions and contacts are unlimited on every plan.

Optimize comes in two sizes. The standard tier covers 30,000 visitors. The expanded tier covers 50,000 and, more importantly, adds workspaces and subdomains, which is what agencies actually need. We folded it into the Optimize card with its price.

Pricing read on instapage.com/plans in 2026. The page itself says "Save up to 20%": the annual discount runs from $20 a month on Create to $60 on the 50,000-visitor tier. Instapage states it does not "provide custom usage below the expanded tier", and custom limits are annual-contract only.

What you are really paying for

Which feature lives on which plan?

A lot of pricing roundups put AdMap or heatmaps inside Optimize. The official comparison table says otherwise: both are checked only in the Convert column. Find the feature you need first, then read the row below.

From Create: build and publish

The editor, 200+ templates, Instablocks, custom code, AI content and the core integrations: Zapier, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo. Instapage says it "easily connects with 120+ apps". If you need a lead capture page wired to your CRM, Create covers it.

From Optimize: test

Server-side A/B testing, traffic split, scheduling and dynamic text replacement, which pulls the Google Ads keyword into your headline. That bundle is what moves the bill from $948 to $1,908 a year. You cannot buy it as an add-on on Create.

Convert only: personalize

AdMap (the board that maps every ad to its page), heatmaps, AI experiments, ad-to-page personalization, custom GA4 events, custom fonts and bulk lead downloads. If any of these is the reason you are looking at Instapage, budget for a quote, not for Optimize.

The agency trap: one workspace

Create and standard Optimize include 1 workspace and 2 subdomains. With three clients, their pages end up in the same account. To separate up to five clients you need the 50,000-visitor Optimize tier, at $2,868 a year. Publishing on a client's root domain (example.com rather than offer.example.com) requires Convert.

  • Publishing only? Create at $79/mo annually.
  • Buying traffic and want to test? Optimize at $159.
  • Running several clients? The 50,000-visitor tier at $239.
  • Need AdMap or heatmaps? Ask for a Convert quote.
  • Root-domain publishing? Convert again.
How we priced it

How we worked out the real cost

Every number comes from the vendors' own pricing pages, nothing else. For each profile we take the cheapest plan that covers the job, then look at what forces you up a tier: A/B testing, the number of clients, a Convert-only feature. The terms of service tell us what costs money after you sign. Reviews from former customers help us spot traps; they never set a price.

What you pay over a year, by use case

Three buyers we see land on Instapage most often. For each one: the plan that is enough, the yearly cost, and the alternative that does the same job. All totals assume twelve months and no traffic overage.

Visitors are pooled across every client in the account, so one campaign that takes off eats into the other four clients' quota. Past 50,000 visitors, or for AdMap and heatmaps, pricing moves to a quote.

Before you pay

The contract traps, and how to dodge them

Everything below comes from Instapage's terms of service and its pricing FAQ. These are the same points that keep showing up in complaints from former customers: an earlier charge than expected, a renewal nobody noticed, an extra bill for traffic.

01

The trial ends at 2,500 visitors, not just on day 14

Trap #1

The FAQ is explicit: "Your free trial comes with a traffic limit of 2500 unique monthly visitors." Hit it and "your free trial will end automatically and you will transition to a paid subscription". Point a live ad campaign at the trial page and you can be charged within a few days.

Run the trial on controlled traffic: your team, a few contacts, a capped test budget. Launch the real campaign after you decide. To cancel, go to Account Management, then Subscriptions, then Cancel.

What you pay is not refunded

Terms 8.1

The terms say "all fees are non-refundable, even if you are not using the Services or have only briefly used the Services." There is a narrow exception for first-time users who bought online through self-service checkout. Cancelling does not refund anything either: "Provider will not refund you any fees on termination."

In practice, start monthly. You pay about 20% more for two or three months, but you are not locking $1,908 into a tool you have not measured yet.

03

Plans auto-renew for the same term

Calendar

The agreement "will automatically renew for successive subscription periods equal to your initial subscription period". On an annual plan, that means another full year. Several former customers say they only noticed after the charge. A price change, for its part, applies from the next period.

On the day you pay, set a reminder a month before renewal. Cancel in your account settings and keep the written confirmation Instapage sends.

Overage is billed with no warning

Traffic

Go past your visitor quota and Instapage will "bill you for the excess usage". The terms add that "you are responsible for tracking your usage, and Provider is not obligated to notify you". The overage rate is not shown on the pricing page.

Check your counter weekly during a big push. If you are close to the cap, upgrade yourself: at least you know that price.

Prices are before sales tax and VAT

Billing

The terms make you responsible for "all taxes", VAT included. List prices are pre-tax USD. Depending on your state or country, sales tax or VAT can be added on top, so the card charge may not match the number on the pricing page.

Check the tax line on the checkout page before you commit to annual, and ask your accountant how the invoice should be booked.

Pricing changes, sometimes mid-relationship

History

Former customers describe several pricing overhauls over the years, with plans stepping up at renewal. It is not a written rule, but it is a real risk on a long commitment. The terms confirm a new price takes effect from your next billing period.

Before renewing, reread the pricing page and compare it with your last invoice. If the number moved, that is the moment to price an alternative.

What A/B testing costs elsewhere

Here we compare the part of Instapage that costs the most: the plan that tests. For each tool, the first plan that does Optimize's job, or the closest one. Instapage is not the cheapest on any line. Its edge is ad-to-page personalization, and that only exists on Convert.

Cheaper than Instapage

Five alternatives, one card each

Each card covers who the tool is for, what it costs for the same job as Instapage, and the limit that might send you back. The order follows the most common buyer: an advertiser who wants to test without paying for Optimize.

01

Leadpages: testing at half the price, no visitor meter

Unlimited traffic

Built for the freelancer or small team that buys traffic and wants to test without watching a quota. Grow runs $79/month annually, $948 a year: the exact price of Instapage Create, but with A/B testing and dynamic text. Traffic is unlimited, so a winning campaign never triggers a surprise bill.

The catch: testing is manual on Grow, you get one user, and the trial is only 7 days. Pro ($29/month billed monthly, $23 annually) and Business ($49, or $39 annually) publish but do not test. Our score: 3.8 out of 5.

Unbounce: unlimited tests at 30,000 visitors

For the marketer who wants the tool closest to Instapage, on the same per-visitor pricing model. Experiment costs $112/month annually ($1,344 a year) for 30,000 visitors, unlimited A/B tests, 3 users and 2 root domains. That is $564 a year less than Optimize, with more seats.

The catch: Build, at $74 annually, does not test, and the agency plan starts at $349/month. AI traffic routing needs Unbounce's own Optimize plan at $187. Our score: 3.8 out of 5.

For the small business or agency that wants the same kind of testing as Instapage without paying $159. Landingi Optimize is $119/month annually, $1,428 a year, for 30,000 visitors. Its Build plan starts at $24/month annually for publishing, with 2,000 visits.

The catch: the pricing page leads with annual billing (two months free), and Build caps traffic quickly. Check the quota before you launch a campaign. Our score: 3.8 out of 5.

Swipe Pages: the cheapest A/B testing, and volume for agencies

Cheapest that tests

For the agency juggling many clients and domains. Agency costs $149/month annually, $1,788 a year, for 500,000 visitors and unlimited custom domains. Against the 50,000-visitor Optimize tier ($2,868), you save over $1,000 a year with ten times the traffic.

For a solo buyer, Marketer is the cheapest plan that tests in this comparison: $69/month annually, $828 a year, with server-side A/B testing and dynamic text replacement for 50,000 visitors. The catch: Startup ($29, 20,000 visitors) has neither, and the pricing page leads with annual billing.

Carrd: when a simple page is enough

Nearly free

For the solo founder who needs a landing or signup page, not a conversion platform. Carrd Pro Standard is $19 a year (yes, per year); Pro Lite, at $9, has no forms or custom domain. You get a clean page with a form and nothing extra to configure.

The catch: no A/B testing, basic integrations and no serious campaign tracking. If you spend on ads every month, Carrd does not replace Instapage. It replaces Create when you were not using much beyond publishing.

The verdict

So, is Instapage worth the price?

Our take after comparing the pricing page, the terms and five alternatives: Instapage is expensive to publish with, expensive to test with, and only earns its price once you use the personalization features. Our overall score stays at 3.6 out of 5, dragged down by value for money.

Yes, if you personalize at scale

A team running dozens of campaigns that wants one page per ad group gets something few tools do on Convert: AdMap, ad-to-page personalization, heatmaps. At that level of ad spend, the quote is small next to the cost per lead you win back.

No, if you just want to A/B test

For a standard split test, Optimize costs $1,908 a year while Swipe Pages Marketer tests for $828 and Leadpages Grow for $948 with no traffic cap. Unbounce Experiment and Landingi Optimize also come in under Instapage. Paying the difference only makes sense if Convert is your next step.

Also no, if you only publish

Create at $948 a year for pages without testing is steep. Leadpages Pro, Landingi Build or Carrd publish for a fraction of that. If you still pick Instapage, stay monthly for the first months: fees you have paid do not come back.

  • Stay monthly until you have measured conversions.
  • Run the trial on low traffic: it stops at 2,500 visitors.
  • Log the renewal date the day you pay.
  • Watch your visitor counter during big campaigns.
  • Only request a Convert quote if you need AdMap.
Pricing FAQ

Instapage pricing questions we get asked

  • How much does Instapage cost per month?
Instapage costs $99/month on Create and $199/month on Optimize when billed monthly. Billed annually, Create drops to $79/month and Optimize to $159. The 50,000-visitor Optimize tier is $299 monthly or $239 annually. Convert is quote-only, after a demo. If you plan to A/B test, the number that matters is $159, not $79.
  • Does Instapage have a free plan?
No. There is no free-forever plan. You get a 14-day trial on Create and Optimize, credit card required, and Instapage emails a reminder before the first charge. Convert has no trial: you get a demo instead. If you want an almost-free page, Carrd Pro Standard is $19 a year.
  • What happens when the trial hits 2,500 visitors?
The trial ends on the spot and your paid subscription starts on the plan you picked, even before day 14. Most pricing roundups skip this. If you send ad traffic to your trial page, you can reach the cap in a few days, so hold the real campaign until you have decided.
  • How much does Instapage Convert cost?
Instapage does not publish a price for Convert: you book a demo and get a quote. What we do know is that Convert starts where the 50,000-visitor Optimize tier ($239/month annually) stops, and that custom limits are annual contracts only. Bring your monthly visitor volume and your must-have features (AdMap, heatmaps, root domain) to the call.
  • Are AdMap and heatmaps included in Optimize?
No. On the official comparison table, AdMap, heatmaps and AI experiments are checked only for Convert. Optimize brings server-side A/B testing, dynamic text replacement and multi-step forms. Many roundups get this wrong: if one of those Convert features drives your choice, the real price is the quote.
  • Can I get a refund from Instapage?
Usually not. The terms state that fees are non-refundable even if you barely used the service, and cancelling refunds nothing. There is an exception for first-time buyers who paid online through self-service checkout. Overage fees are never refunded. Starting monthly is the simplest way to limit the risk.
  • How do I cancel Instapage?
You cancel from your account settings or through support, and Instapage sends a written confirmation. During the trial, go to Account Management, then Subscriptions, then Cancel. On an annual plan, do it before the renewal date: the subscription renews automatically for the same term.
  • Does Instapage charge sales tax or VAT?
Yes, on top of the list price where it applies. Prices are in USD and before tax, and the terms make the customer responsible for all taxes, VAT included. Depending on your state or country, the checkout adds sales tax or VAT, so the card charge can be higher than the pricing page. Check the tax line before you commit to an annual plan.
  • Is there a discount on Instapage for paying annually?
Yes, and it is the only public discount we found. Annual billing saves up to 20%: $240 a year on Create and $480 on Optimize. We found no official coupon code on Instapage's site, so be wary of coupon sites promising more. Whatever discount applies always shows on the checkout page.
