How much does Keap cost?

One plan, a clear sticker price, and fees you find out about later.

Straight answer: Keap costs $299 a month month to month, or $2,988 a year if you sign for twelve months, which works out to $249 a month. There is one plan, and it includes 2 users; each extra user is $39 a month. Two numbers Keap does not publish: how many contacts the entry price covers (the price climbs with your list) and onboarding, which Keap presents as required and quotes case by case. Our take: Keap earns its price for a small US service business that wants CRM, automation, texting and payments in one place. If you only need email automation, you are overpaying.

Keap pricing: one plan, two ways to pay

The old Infusionsoft tiers and the Pro and Max plans are gone for new customers. Keap now sells a single plan with the whole platform: CRM, automations, email marketing, landing pages, appointment booking, quotes and invoices, plus texting and a business phone line in the US. What moves your bill is not the plan. It is how you pay, how many people log in, and how big your contact list is.

Monthly versus annual is simple math: $299 against $249 a month, a $600 gap over a year. The trade-off is the contract. Walking away from an annual plan early costs $299.

What gets added

The lines that inflate the bill

$39/mo per extra user

Onboarding and contacts: by quote

  • Onboarding presented as required, price not published
  • Contacts: priced by volume in the official calculator
  • Texting tiers from $24 to $279 a month
  • Local number: $10 a month
  • Keap Pay: 2.99% + $0.30 per card payment

Taken from Keap's official pricing page in 2026. Keap does not list how many contacts the entry price includes or what onboarding costs: you get both from sales. Taxes are not included.

Beyond the sticker price

Six things that push the bill up

The headline price buys the subscription and two logins. Everything else is billed separately or shows up later. Here is each line, what it costs when Keap publishes it, and what to ask for when it does not.

Onboarding, quote only

Keap presents onboarding as required for new accounts, sold as coaching packages (data import, first automations, strategy calls). No price is published: you ask through chat or on a call. Get the quote in writing before you sign and add it to your first-year budget.

Extra users

Two logins are included. Each additional user is $39 a month, or $468 a year. A team of four pays $936 more a year; a team of six pays $1,872 more. It is the most predictable line, and the one people forget when sales hires start.

Contacts

Keap bills in contact tiers, and the price per contact drops as volume grows. The number included in the entry price is not on the pricing grid: the official calculator shows your exact price once you enter your list size. Keap does not publish its tiers: run your real list through the calculator before you talk to sales.

Texting and calling

The base tier includes 500 texts and 100 minutes a month. Then: $24 (1,000 texts, 300 minutes), $39 (2,500 / 500), $79 (5,000 / 800), $139 (10,000 / 1,000) and $279 (25,000 / 2,000) a month. Overage is $0.015 per text and $0.01 per minute; a 500-text add-on is $6 a month and a local number $10 a month. Text marketing is US only; 1:1 texting and the business line also work in Canada.

Payments

Keap Pay, the built-in processor, charges 2.99% + $0.30 per card payment, $0.30 per refund and $15 per chargeback. It is US only. Connect Stripe or PayPal instead and you pay their rate (Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30), with no Keap markup.

Leaving

Ending an annual contract early costs $299. You cancel by phone only, at least 10 days before your next bill; email does not count. Miss the window and the cancellation lands at the end of the next cycle, so you pay one more month. Cancelling does not wipe what you still owe on an annual contract or a coaching package.

  • Get the onboarding quote in writing before you hand over a card.
  • Run the calculator with your real contact count, not the list you hope to have.
  • Budget $468 a year for every user beyond two.
  • Outside the US, cross texting and Keap Pay off your reasons to buy.
  • Put your renewal date minus 10 days in your calendar: that is your real cancel deadline.
  • Custom integrations on the old XML-RPC API need a rewrite to the REST API, at your cost.
How we price it

How we work out Keap's real cost

We start from the official grid only: $2,988 a year or $299 a month for 2 users, $39 per extra user. Then we add what your setup triggers (users, texting, payments). The two lines Keap keeps off the page, onboarding and contacts beyond the first tier, stay separate: we tell you how to get them, we do not make them up. Scores come from our full Keap review (3 out of 5, 3.2 from user reviews) and from our reviews of each competitor.

For a two-person team on annual billing: $2,988 in year one, plus the onboarding quote. Every year after: $2,988, unless Keap changes its prices.

Pay less

Six ways to pay less for Keap

Keap publishes no coupon code, but the pricing leaves room for anyone who asks the right questions. These tips come from the official grid, Keap's billing terms and the customer feedback we read.

Start monthly, sign annual later

Three months on monthly cost $150 more than annual. Think of it as insurance: if the team never adopts the tool, you walk away without an exit fee or a year of payments still owed. Once it sticks, annual saves you $600 a year.

Ask about current promos

Keap's own pricing page tells you to ask about current promotional offers. Do it before you pay, and ask about the onboarding package too.

Clean your list before import

Every contact tier costs money. Remove duplicates, bounced addresses and contacts with no activity in two years before you import. Staying under the next tier is often worth more than any discount.

Use the trial for deliverability

The trial is free with no card (14 days advertised by Keap), but capped at 25 emails, with no texting or payments. Use it to set up DKIM, the signature that proves your emails are really from you, and check they land in the main inbox. If that fails now, it will fail at $299 a month.

Negotiate Keap Pay, or skip it

Keap Pay's 2.99% + $0.30 can be negotiated with the payments team once your volume justifies it. If it does not, connect Stripe or PayPal at their own rate, with no Keap markup.

Cancel by the book

Call at least 10 days before your billing date, write down the rep's name and ask for written confirmation. Customers describe being charged after trying to cancel by email: that does not count. Export your contacts and history before the call.

  • Months 1 to 3: monthly. Month 4: annual, if the team really uses it.
  • On a legacy Infusionsoft or Pro/Max plan? Get your current price and the single-plan price in writing before you migrate.
  • Share occasional access instead of paying $39 a month per light user.
  • Ignore third-party coupon sites: Keap publishes none.
Our take

So, is Keap worth the price?

Our verdict is clear: Keap is worth it for one specific profile and overpriced for everyone else. We score it 3 out of 5 in our full review, and users give it 3.2. Most complaints are about billing and cancellation, not about the software itself.

Yes, for a small US service business

You are two or three people, you sell services, coaching or courses, and you want CRM, follow-up automation, booking, texting and payments in one tool. Here, $249 a month replaces three or four subscriptions, and the automation inherited from Infusionsoft is still strong. Go annual after a quarter on monthly.

No, if email is all you automate

If you never text customers and already take payments through Stripe, you pay for bundled features you will not touch. ActiveCampaign starts at €15 a month for comparable email automation, and GoHighLevel gives agencies unlimited contacts from $97 a month.

No, if your budget is tight or your list grows fast

Between quote-only onboarding, contact tiers and $39 per user, a growing team's bill outruns the sticker price fast. Long-time customers also report price increases at renewal. Zoho CRM (free to start) or Pipedrive ($14 per seat) cost a fraction of Keap.

  • Not texting or not in the US: compare with ActiveCampaign or HubSpot first.
  • Staying with Keap: monthly first, annual after.
  • Before signing: written onboarding quote and a calculator run on your real list.
  • Leaving: call at least 10 days before the bill and get written confirmation.

FAQ

Keap pricing questions

  • How much does Keap cost per month?

Keap costs $299 a month with no contract, or $249 a month on an annual plan ($2,988 a year). That covers 2 users; each extra user adds $39 a month. The price also rises with your contact list, in tiers only the official calculator shows. Ask for both the monthly and the annual figure to compare.

  • Does Keap have a free trial?

Yes. The trial is free with no credit card, and Keap advertises 14 days. You get most features, but it is capped at 25 emails, with no texting or payments. There is no free plan. Spend those 25 emails setting up DKIM and checking deliverability, not on a real campaign.

  • Does Keap charge a setup fee?

Keap presents onboarding as required for new accounts but does not publish its price: you get it through chat or a call. Negotiate it along with the rest of the contract.

  • How many contacts does Keap include?

Keap does not say on its pricing grid. Your price depends on list size, and the calculator on the pricing page shows the exact figure once you type your contact count. Keap does not publish its tiers: the price climbs in steps while the cost per contact drops. Clean your list before you run the numbers.

  • Can I cancel Keap anytime, and is there a fee?

On monthly, yes, with no fee, but only by phone and at least 10 days before your next bill. Miss the window and you pay one more cycle. Ending an annual contract early costs $299, and any balance still owed stays due. Note the rep's name and ask for written confirmation.

  • What are Keap Pay fees?

Keap Pay charges 2.99% + $0.30 per card payment, $0.30 per refund and $15 per chargeback. It is only available in the US. If you connect Stripe or PayPal instead, you pay their rate with no Keap markup. Once your volume is meaningful, ask the payments team for a better rate.

  • Is Keap cheaper than GoHighLevel?

No. GoHighLevel starts at $97 a month with unlimited contacts, and its top plans are $297 and $497 a month. Keap starts at $249 a month for 2 users, with contacts billed in tiers. GoHighLevel charges texting, calls, email and AI by usage, so heavy senders should model both bills. Keap fits a single small business; GoHighLevel fits agencies running many clients.

  • Is Keap more expensive than ActiveCampaign or HubSpot?

At entry level, by a wide margin: $249 a month minimum against €15 for ActiveCampaign Starter and €20 per seat for HubSpot Starter. The gap flips higher up: HubSpot Marketing Hub Pro is €792 a month for 3 seats, plus a €2,930 onboarding fee. If you do not need texting or Keap Pay, ActiveCampaign gives you similar automation for a fraction of the price.

  • Do legacy Infusionsoft and Pro/Max plans still exist?

Not for new customers: Keap now sells one plan. If you are on one of them, ask for your current plan's price and the single plan's price in writing, then compare with $2,988 a year plus extra users before accepting a move. Also ask for the renewal price in writing, since long-time customers report increases.

  • Will Keap's API cost me anything?

The API is not billed separately, but it can cost you developer time. Keap, now owned by Thryv, is retiring its old XML-RPC API in favor of REST v2. If you run custom integrations, rewriting them is on you: Keap does not do it. Get your developer's estimate before your renewal.
