How much does WhatConverts cost?

The real price of the call and lead tracking tool, plan by plan, usage included.

Short answer: WhatConverts costs $30 to $160/month for a single business and $500 to $1,250/month for an agency with unlimited client accounts. Every business plan includes $30 of usage credit, and Elite gets no more than Call Tracking. Anything above that (numbers, minutes, form leads) is billed per unit. Our worked examples below land at $30 for a contractor tracking calls, $70 for a local practice adding forms, and $150 for a business that records and transcribes everything. Billing is monthly only; there is no annual price on the pricing page.

What you pay on top

Past the credit, everything is billed per unit

The $30 credit covers the month's usage: numbers (deactivated ones too), inbound minutes, texts, form leads, chats, appointments, emails, events and transactions. Once it runs out, each line is drawn from a prepaid balance (the Paid Balance) that you top up by hand or with auto funding below a threshold. Business rates first, agency rates in brackets.

Tracking numbers

A local number is $2.50/month ($1.75 on agency plans), a toll-free number $3.50/month ($3). The $30 credit pays for 12 local numbers and nothing else. Easy to miss: deactivated numbers still count. Delete the ones you no longer use.

Call minutes

Local minutes cost 4.5 cents (4 on agency), toll-free minutes 6.5 cents (6). Every call rounds up to the next minute, so 85 seconds bills as 2 minutes. Busy and unanswered calls that reach your number count as usage too.

Forms, chats, transactions

From Plus up, each non-call lead costs $0.10 once the credit is gone. So $30 covers 300 form leads if nothing else draws on it. Spam is billed like a real lead: one bot attack on your contact form and your invoice goes up.

Transcription, texts, AI

Transcription runs 2 cents a minute, texts 3 cents. AI analysis is billed by text volume: $0.015 per input group of about 1,000 characters and $0.05 per output group. The vendor puts a 3-minute call at 5 to 6 cents. PCI redaction (masking card numbers in recordings) is 1 cent a minute.

White label

Swapping the WhatConverts logo for yours costs $50/month on every plan, Agency Elite at $1,250 included. If you resell tracking to clients, budget it from day one.

No credit rollover

The credit resets on each renewal date. Whatever you did not use is gone; it does not carry into next month. A quiet month never subsidizes a busy one, so size your budget on your busiest month.

  • Only tracking calls? Call Tracking at $30 works as long as usage stays under $30.
  • Need forms too? You need Plus at minimum; Call Tracking cannot see them.
  • Recording and transcribing every call? Add 2 cents per transcribed minute.
  • Contact form gets hammered by bots? Add a captcha before you turn tracking on.
  • Running several clients? Price an agency plan against separate accounts (math below).
How we price it

How we work out the real cost

We start from the official rate card, never from an average found elsewhere. Same formula for every profile: subscription + (monthly usage minus included credit), when usage exceeds the credit. Otherwise you pay the subscription alone. Every assumption (numbers, minutes, leads) is printed on the profile card so you can rerun it with your own volumes.

  1. SubscriptionThe plan that covers your channels, business or agency
    $30 to $1,250
  2. Included creditTaken off the month's usage, lost if unused
    −$30 to −$400
  3. Numbers and minutes$2.50 per local number, 4.5 cents per rounded-up minute
    + usage
  4. Leads and add-ons$0.10 per form lead, 2 cents per transcribed minute, $50 white label

Agency, 10 clients

Agency Plus

$562.50/mo
  • 30 numbers at $1.75: $52.50
  • 4,000 minutes at 4 cents: $160
  • 1,000 form leads: $100
  • Usage $312.50 − $250 = $62.50, plus $500

Agency, 10 clients, white label

Agency Plus + white label

$612.50/mo
  • The profile above
  • White label: +$50
  • That is $61.25 per client per month
  • No transcription or AI included

For the agency, the same volume spread across 10 separate Plus accounts would cost $655 (10 × $65.50). With that client profile, the agency plan wins from 8 clients: 8 × $65.50 = $524 against $500. Over a year, the SMB profile pays $1,800.

Is WhatConverts expensive?

WhatConverts pricing vs. the alternatives

Three call tracking tools that come up on the same US projects. WhatConverts has the lowest paid entry price here; Nimbata has a $0 plan where you only pay usage; CallRail starts higher. All three bill usage on top. For the full picture, read our CallRail vs WhatConverts comparison and our CallRail pricing breakdown.

Entry prices taken from each vendor's official pricing page in 2026. CallRail also bills numbers and minutes beyond what its plan includes. Nimbata counts answered calls rather than minutes, with a surcharge when the average call runs past 3.5 minutes. The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always flagged on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The verdict

So, is WhatConverts worth the price?

Our take after going through the rate card, the billing rules and user feedback: the entry price is one of the lowest around, but the flat $30 credit means your bill follows your volume, not your plan.

Good value if…

You run a handful of numbers and about a hundred form leads a month. You stay between $30 and $70 for calls and forms in one dashboard, and users regularly praise fast support at that price.

Gets pricey if…

You handle thousands of leads or minutes. At $0.10 per form lead, 3,500 leads add $320 past the credit. Same story if your forms attract spam: every bot submission is billed like a real contact.

What we would do

Run the trial on your real traffic, book the onboarding call to stretch it to 30 days, then read the usage meter. Still on the fence? Check our WhatConverts alternatives or the full review.

  • Pick the lowest plan that sees all your channels.
  • Delete unused numbers: deactivated, they still cost $2.50.
  • Turn off transcription on sources nobody listens to.
  • Block form spam before day one of tracking.
  • Budget on your busiest month; the credit does not roll over.
  • Past 7 or 8 clients, price out an agency plan.
Pricing FAQ

WhatConverts pricing FAQ

  • Does WhatConverts have a free trial?
Yes, 14 days with full access and a small usage credit. You need to enter a payment method to activate it, but nothing is charged during the trial. Tip: the free onboarding call extends the trial to 30 days, enough to see a full month of calls.
  • Is there a free plan?
No. There is no permanent free tier; the cheapest option is Call Tracking at $30/month. If you need $0 to start, Nimbata has an entry plan where you only pay usage, billed per answered call.
  • Does WhatConverts offer annual pricing?
No annual price or discount is listed; billing is monthly on your signup date. Over 12 months the subscription alone is $360, $720, $1,200 or $1,920 depending on the plan. The SMB profile in our math, at $150/month, comes to $1,800 a year. You can request a custom quote through the "Personalize this Plan" button.
  • Does unused usage credit roll over?
No. The credit resets on every renewal and the rest is lost. It buys 12 local numbers, about 666 local minutes, 300 form leads or 1,500 transcribed minutes. Past that, usage comes out of your paid balance; turn on auto funding if you do not want to watch it.
  • Why is my WhatConverts bill higher than the plan price?
Because the plan only covers $30 of usage. Three usual suspects: minutes rounded up, unanswered calls that still count, and spam form submissions billed at $0.10 like real leads. Deactivated numbers that were never deleted add $2.50 each.
  • How much does AI call analysis cost?
It is usage-based, by text volume: $0.015 per input group of about 1,000 characters and $0.05 per output group. The vendor prices a 3-minute call at 5 to 6 cents. For 500 analyzed calls a month, plan on $25 to $30, on top of transcription at 2 cents a minute.
  • When does the agency plan pay off?
With mid-sized clients (3 numbers, 400 minutes, 100 form leads each), one Plus account runs $65.50. Agency Plus at $500 becomes cheaper from 8 clients ($524 as separate accounts). At 10 clients you save $92.50 a month. The smaller your clients, the later the break-even.
  • Is WhatConverts cheaper than CallRail?
At entry, yes: $30 against $45 for CallRail, and form tracking comes in at the $60 tier. Local numbers are cheaper too ($2.50 vs $3). Both bill usage, so compare on your own volume rather than the sticker price. Our CallRail pricing page has the full breakdown.
  • How can I lower my WhatConverts bill?
Work on usage, not the plan. Delete unused numbers, turn off transcription where nobody listens, filter spam before it reaches the tool, and stay on the lowest plan that covers your channels. Moving to an agency plan only pays off beyond 7 or 8 client accounts.
