Overview

What an analyst gets from Aiera inside Claude

Aiera holds the raw material of equity research: event calendars, call transcripts, SEC filings, investor documents, expert interviews. With the connector on, you ask Claude a question in plain English and it fetches the right items from Aiera, reads them and answers. You stay in one conversation instead of juggling a dozen tabs, and nothing in your Aiera account changes.

Prep for earnings season. get_upcoming_events returns confirmed and estimated events, and get_watchlist_constituents narrows to the names you follow, so Claude can tell you who reports when.

Read the call, not the headlines. find_events locates an earnings call or investor presentation, then get_event brings back its transcript and metadata. Claude can list analyst questions or quote what management actually said.

Check what was filed. find_filings searches SEC filings by date range and other criteria, including form type such as 10-K, 10-Q or 8-K, and get_filing opens one for a closer read. Company-published documents follow the same pattern with find_company_docs and get_company_doc.

What it will not do: every documented tool retrieves data, so by default the directory sheet shows no tool that edits or creates anything in Aiera. Nothing runs by itself either; a new filing does not wake Claude up. It reads only when you ask. To browse other Claude connectors we cover, start from the Integrations hub.

Vocabulary

Five terms worth knowing

The minimum vocabulary, one line each.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so Claude can use it while it answers you.
Tool
One named capability the connector hands to Claude. Claude chooses which to call on its own; the directory sheet lists each one.
Authorization
The service's own login screen, where you grant the access Claude will use afterwards. Each person does it once and can revoke it.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before a step that changes an account, shown in the conversation at the moment it matters.
MCP
The open standard behind connectors: the layer that lets an assistant like Claude query an outside data source such as Aiera.
Connect

Set up the Claude Aiera connector

  1. 01

    Find Aiera in your connectors

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize and then Connectors, and search for Aiera. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector first; members can then authenticate one by one.

  2. 02

    Log in to Aiera

Click Connect on the Aiera row. A login window from the service opens; that page is Aiera's, not Claude's. If the link breaks later, choose Disconnect and connect again, or revoke access from the service side.

  3. 03

    Review the access screen

Read the authorization screen before you accept it. It belongs to the service and decides what the access covers, sometimes in broader words than Claude's daily use. In Claude, approval per action remains the default.

Tools

The 18 Aiera tools, all for reading

Aiera gives Claude 18 tools: 18 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.

Aiera's tool reference gives every tool on the sheet its own line, under the same name, and each one retrieves data. Names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

18 tools

Eighteen tools that fetch market, event and document data without changing anything in Aiera.

get_available_indexes

Returns the market indexes Aiera supports. Claude uses that list to know which index names it can work with before going further.

When it helps
you want to analyze a benchmark and first need to confirm Aiera covers it.
Watch out
it lists indexes only; the companies inside come from another tool.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_index_constituents

Brings back every equity that belongs to a given index, page by page. Claude can then count, sort or cross-check the members for you.

When it helps
a portfolio manager wants to see which index names report next week.
Watch out
results come in pages of up to 25, so a large index takes several calls.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_sectors_and_subsectors

Gives the full list of sectors and subsectors Aiera uses to classify companies, so Claude knows which classification labels exist before it filters anything.

When it helps
you want filings or events for one industry and need the exact sector label Aiera expects.
Watch out
this is a reference list; it does not return companies or numbers.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

find_events

Searches corporate events such as earnings calls, investor presentations and shareholder meetings, for specific companies or sectors, or across a watchlist or index.

When it helps
a buy-side analyst wants the last four calls of a company before preparing questions.
Watch out
it finds the events; the full transcript comes from opening one.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_event

Opens one specific event and returns its details, including the transcript and metadata. This is where Claude reads what was said word for word.

When it helps
you missed a call and want management's comments on margins quoted exactly.
Watch out
it works on one event at a time, so Claude usually searches first.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_upcoming_events

Lists events still to come, both confirmed and estimated, which helps plan earnings and conference seasons or track the event calendar of a portfolio.

When it helps
on Friday, an investor relations team checks which peers present over the next fortnight.
Watch out
estimated dates are not confirmed ones; ask Claude to tell them apart.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

find_equities

Looks up equities by various identifiers, by search term or by company name, and can convert between ticker formats. Claude uses it to pin down the right security before anything else.

When it helps
a broker report gives a ticker in another format and you need the matching one.
Watch out
results are paged, at most 25 per page.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_equity_summaries

Pulls a detailed summary of specific equities: company profile, key financial metrics, classification and metadata in one answer.

When it helps
a junior analyst needs a quick snapshot of three competitors before a meeting.
Watch out
it summarizes; it does not search, so Claude may look the company up first.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

find_filings

Searches SEC filings by date range and other criteria, including form type such as 10-K, 10-Q or 8-K.

When it helps
you track material events and want every recent 8-K from a watchlist.
Watch out
pages hold at most 25 filings, so a long period takes several calls.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_filing

Retrieves the details of a single SEC filing so Claude can extract figures or compare it with earlier quarters.

When it helps
a credit analyst wants the debt section of the latest annual report summarized.
Watch out
it opens one specific filing, so Claude generally runs the search tool before it.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_available_watchlists

Shows the watchlists available in your Aiera account, paged. It is how Claude discovers which personal lists it can filter on.

When it helps
you keep several lists and cannot remember which one holds the banks.
Watch out
it returns lists, not their contents.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_watchlist_constituents

Returns all the equities inside one watchlist, page by page, so Claude can work on exactly the names you follow.

When it helps
a sell-side associate wants the reporting dates of every name in the coverage list.
Watch out
it reads one watchlist at a time; the previous tool shows which ones exist.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

find_company_docs

Searches the documents companies publish themselves, filtered by several criteria, so Claude can find a publication without you knowing its exact title.

When it helps
you want what a mid-cap published on its own, alongside its regulatory filings.
Watch out
categories and keywords help narrow it; two other tools list them.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_company_doc

Fetches the raw text of one company document. Claude can then read it in full, quote it or summarize it in your terms.

When it helps
a strategy team wants the outlook paragraph of a supplier's investor letter.
Watch out
Aiera describes the output as raw text, so expect words rather than formatting.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_company_doc_categories

Lists every category Aiera uses for company documents. Claude relies on it to filter searches with the exact label.

When it helps
before a document search, when you are unsure what Aiera calls a given type of publication.
Watch out
a reference list only; no document comes back from it.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_company_doc_keywords

Every keyword Aiera offers for tagging company documents comes back here, so a later search can be narrowed to a precise topic.

When it helps
you hunt for publications on one theme and want Aiera's own terms rather than guesses.
Watch out
like the category list, it supports a search and holds no content.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

find_third_bridge_events

Searches expert insight events from Third Bridge, with an optional content type filter (forum, primer, community).

When it helps
a consultant wants expert views on a sector to set against company guidance.
Watch out
these are Third Bridge expert events, not company calls; find_events covers those.

Sourcerest.aiera.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_third_bridge_event

Opens one Third Bridge event for its full detail, such as an expert interview transcript, so Claude can analyze the commentary.

When it helps
you found a relevant expert call and want its key arguments listed.
Watch out
it opens specific events, so Claude usually finds them with the search tool first.

Approvals

Approvals, rights and who can turn it off

All 18 tools fetch data, so none of them sends, edits or deletes anything in Aiera. The approval rules still frame what the connector could ever do for your team.

By default, Claude pauses and asks before each action it would take on an account in your name. On Team and Enterprise, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without a prompt, and they can restrict a connector for the whole organization, for instance to reading; nobody overrides that from their own account. Claude also works within the rights of the person who connected: it sees what that person's service access allows and nothing more. No source says whether Claude asks before calling an Aiera tool.

Plans

Plans: what the sources say

No official page says on which plans this connector is available. None of the 819 directory sheets carries that information.

Anthropic's general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and on Team and Enterprise an Owner or Primary Owner turns a connector on before members can connect. For Aiera's current status, check its sheet in the official directory. Only Aiera documents this connector; there is no Claude help article about it.

Limits

Where the Aiera connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so no alert fires when a company files or a call ends.

A sheet that shows only reading is an observed floor, not a guarantee: an administrator can open actions no public sheet lists. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it neither chooses the tools a publisher exposes nor vouches for how they behave. Aiera's own reference also documents more tools than the 18 on the sheet; only those 18 are covered here. For another publisher's approach, see the Claude affinity connector page.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Aiera connector

01What can the Claude Aiera connector do?
It lets Claude retrieve financial data from Aiera and answer in plain language. The directory sheet lists 18 tools, and Aiera documents each one: finding and opening corporate events with their transcripts, listing upcoming earnings, searching and reading SEC filings, looking up equities and their summaries, browsing indexes, sectors and watchlists, reading company-published documents, and opening Third Bridge expert events. Claude picks the tools it needs while you talk to it.
02Can Claude write, send or delete anything in Aiera?
Not with the tools on the directory sheet today. All 18 are described by Aiera as retrieving data: lists, details, transcripts, documents. None creates, edits or deletes, so Claude cannot change a watchlist or anything else in your account through this connector. That is a read-only floor, not a promise for the future: an administrator could open more actions later, and the sheet would then show them. If you need changes in Aiera, you make them there yourself.
03Does Claude ask before it uses an Aiera tool?
No source describes a specific confirmation for any Aiera tool. The general rule is that Claude asks for approval before each action that changes an account on your behalf, and here every tool only reads. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let certain actions through without a prompt, and they can limit what the connector does for everyone in the organization. Since none of them changes anything, that approval rule weighs less here than on connectors that write.
04Which Claude plans is Aiera available on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. Aiera's page names no Claude plan, but it does require an active Aiera subscription. Check the directory sheet for the current state on your account.
05Does Claude see all of Aiera's data?
Claude sees what your Aiera access allows, nothing more, because it inherits the rights of the person who connected. Aiera also sends coverage questions to your Aiera representative or support rather than to Claude. On top of that, Claude only reaches data through the 18 tools on the sheet; other tools in Aiera's reference are not part of this connector. A dataset your account cannot open stays out of the conversation.
06Why does Claude only bring back part of a long list?
Because Aiera pages its results. Its search and list tools return at most 25 items per page, so a question covering a large index, a full sector or a long date range needs several calls. Ask Claude to keep going page by page, or narrow the request by date, ticker or watchlist. Narrower questions also give more precise answers when Claude reads transcripts or filings afterwards. The cap of 25 per page is written in Aiera's own tool reference.
07Claude or an automation tool for Aiera data?
They solve different problems, so choose by use rather than by ranking. Claude fits research in a conversation: read a call, compare filings, list who reports next week. It acts only while you ask. An automation tool fits recurring flows that must run unattended, such as pushing every new filing from a watchlist into a shared channel. Many teams use the two side by side. Neither replaces the other, and the choice can change from one task to the next.
