Claude Airbnb Search & Listings connectorWhat Claude can do in your Airbnb Search & Listings account.

What changes when Claude searches stays for you
This is an extension for Claude Desktop, made by OpenBnB, that searches Airbnb listings for you. Instead of juggling tabs and filters, you describe the trip in a sentence: where, when, who comes and how much per night. Claude runs the search, opens the listings worth a look and lays out what separates them, with a direct link to each one.
A shortlist built from your constraints. Two adults, a toddler and a dog, three nights in Lisbon under a set budget: airbnb_search takes location, dates, guests, pets, a price range and the type of place, then returns matching stays with their prices and links.
The small print, before you fall for the photos. airbnb_listing_details brings back a listing's amenities, house rules, highlights and location, including the amenities Airbnb shows struck through, grouped as not included.
A side-by-side you can act on. With both tools, Claude can compare three flats on what matters to you and hand you the links to book yourself.
What Claude will not do: by default the sheet only exposes reading, and the publisher describes no booking, messaging or account sign-in. Booking stays on Airbnb, in your hands. Nothing runs by itself either: no alert fires when a price drops. Background watching of that kind belongs to an automation tool, a different trade; the Integrations hub covers it.
Five words in one minute
The terms you will meet when you add this extension to Claude.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an outside service, so Claude can use it while it answers you. Here, it is a desktop extension.
- Tool
- One named capability a connector gives Claude. Claude decides by itself which ones to call; the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The service's own sign-in screen, where you grant the access Claude will use. Granted once, per person, and withdrawn the same way.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before going ahead with something that changes an account, shown in the conversation when it counts.
- MCP
- The shared standard behind connectors: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service, here Airbnb's public listings.
Add Airbnb Search & Listings to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find it in Claude Desktop
Open Claude Desktop's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and find Airbnb Search & Listings. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable a connector before members can use it.
- 02
Launch the installation
Click Connect on its row and go through the window that opens, which belongs to the extension. If it stops working later, Disconnect it and add it again from the same list.
- 03
Read what you are accepting
Read the screen before confirming: for a connector, it is the service that sets what access covers, not Claude. Here the publisher describes no Airbnb sign-in, only extension settings you can adjust afterwards.
The 2 tools, by what they do
Airbnb Search & Listings gives Claude 2 tools: 2 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
Both tools on this sheet read. Their names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (2)
2 toolsTwo tools that look up listings without touching any account.
airbnb_search
Runs an Airbnb search from a location, with optional dates, number of adults, children, infants and pets, a nightly price range and a type of place, then returns stays with prices and direct links.
airbnb_listing_details
Opens one listing by its identifier and returns its location with coordinates, amenities by category, house rules, highlights, description and a link, so Claude can check it against your needs.
What Claude asks before acting
By default, Claude stops and asks you to confirm before any action it carries out on an account for you. Both tools here only read public listings, and no source says whether a confirmation appears when Claude calls them.
On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether members may let certain actions through without being asked each time. They can also restrict what a connector may do across the organisation, keeping reading open and closing writing for example, and nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected and nothing more; this extension, as the publisher describes it, has no Airbnb account behind it at all.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. That information, connector by connector, is published nowhere: a real gap in the catalogue.
The general rule is public: desktop extensions install on Claude Desktop, while remote connectors open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector for the organisation before members can use it. For the current state of this one, check its sheet in the directory.
Where this extension stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing starts when a new listing appears or a price changes.
A tool list that only reads is an observed floor, not a guarantee: an administrator can open actions shown on no public sheet. The verification badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic writes on each sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools. Everything here comes from OpenBnB's own repository and the directory sheet; no Claude help article covers this extension. To compare with a connector that writes, see the Claude activecampaign connector.
