Claude Audible connectorWhat Claude can do in your Audible account.
The Claude Audible connector exposes 1 tool. It reads: 1 tool suggests audiobooks, 0 write anything, 0 are left undocumented. Below: what you can ask, what stays on Audible, and why this one works without an Audible login.

What a reading list in a chat actually changes
Instead of scrolling store pages, you describe what you feel like hearing: a genre, a mood, a topic, a vague memory of a plot. Claude passes that request to Audible, gets back titles with previews, and talks you through them in the same conversation. Audible says you only need access to Claude for this, not an Audible account.
A commute playlist from one sentence. Ask for a gripping thriller narrated by a strong voice, and Recommend brings back candidates you can preview before you leave the chat.
A gift idea for someone else. Describe the person (they loved a history podcast, they hate long books) and let Claude ask Audible for matches you can compare on the spot.
A topic you want to learn about. Negotiation, sleep science, the Roman Empire: one request returns audiobooks on the subject, and you can refine with a follow-up question.
What it will not do: buy a title, touch a library or manage an account. Audible keeps purchases and account settings on its own site. Picks are limited to English-language audiobooks from the Audible.com catalog, and outside the United States a result may send you to your local store. The chat around each pick is written by Claude and Audible warns it may not always be accurate. The Integrations hub lists the other apps we cover.
Five words to know first
The vocabulary around this connector, explained in a minute.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an outside service, so Claude can use that service while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the tools it needs by itself, and the directory lists each by name.
- Authorization
- The moment you hand Claude the access it will use afterward. It is granted per person and can be taken back the same way.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with something that changes an account, shown right in the chat.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to a service such as Audible.
Connect Audible to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Audible in the list
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look for Audible. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it before members can each turn it on.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on the Audible row. Audible's help page says the only requirement is access to Claude on the web or desktop, with no Audible account needed. If the link breaks later, Disconnect and connect again.
- 03
Read what you are granting
Whatever screen appears, read it before you accept: it is the service that decides what the access covers, not Claude. You can withdraw that access later the same way you gave it, from the connector list.
The single tool, and what it covers
Audible gives Claude 1 tool: 1 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
One tool, and it only reads. Audible describes it, so nothing below is guessed from a name. The name stays exactly as Claude shows it.

Recommend
Lets Audible return audiobook suggestions inside your conversation, from a request phrased however you like: genre, mood, topic or anything that comes to mind. The directory sheet adds that you can preview the titles it brings back.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it carries out on an account for someone. Here, Audible's help page adds a step of its own: you allow Claude to use the Recommend tool.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also cap what any connector may do for the whole organization, for example keeping reading open and writing shut, and nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude works with the rights of whoever connected, nothing more. With Audible there is little to cap: the one tool reads the catalog, and the help page says no Audible account is involved.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. Connector by connector, that answer is published nowhere: it is a real gap in the catalog.
The general rule is what is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization first. For Audible's live state, check its sheet in the official directory. Only Audible documents this connector; no Claude help page covers it.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls Recommend while it answers you, so nothing arrives on its own when a new audiobook comes out.
By default the sheet exposes reading only, and that is an observed floor rather than a promise: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The partner badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not pick the tools a publisher exposes or guarantee how they behave. Connect what comes from a publisher you know, here Audible itself. The four limits below come from Audible's own help page. For a connector that also writes, compare with the Claude activecampaign connector page.
