Overview

What changes when Claude can plan with Civitatis

Planning a city break usually means a dozen tabs: activity lists, reviews, opening slots, prices in the wrong currency. With this connector you ask Claude about a destination and get a browsable carousel of activities right in the conversation, live slots for your date, and a cart ready for payment when you decide.

Shortlist what to do in a city. A traveller asks what to see in Lisbon; search-activities shows top-rated tours with prices, duration and categories, and get-activity-detail opens photos, reviews and the cancellation policy of the one that catches the eye.

Line up a weekend. A couple heading to Rome for three days asks for a plan; suggest-itinerary distributes the destination's top activities across the days, and check-availability-batch confirms which of them still have room on Saturday.

Book without leaving the chat. Once a slot is chosen, add-to-cart places the session in a Civitatis cart and returns a secure checkout link; the card details go into Civitatis's own payment page, never into the conversation.

What it will not do: Claude does not pay, does not confirm a reservation by itself, and nothing fires when prices or slots move. It only acts while it answers you. The Integrations hub lists the platforms we document.

Vocabulary

Five words before you connect

The vocabulary Claude uses around this connector, in one minute.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and a service, so Claude can work with it while it answers you.
Tool
One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the ones it needs; the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
The sign-in screen of a service, where you grant Claude the access it uses afterwards. Given once per person, and revocable.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it changes something for you, such as filling a cart, shown in the conversation.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant such as Claude talk to an outside service like Civitatis.
Connect

Connect Civitatis to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Civitatis in your settings

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and search for Civitatis. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it for the organization before members can connect on their own.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row and follow the window that opens. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again: that is usually all a broken connection needs.

  3. 03

    Read any authorization screen

If the service shows an authorization screen, read it before you accept: it belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it is what defines the scope of the access. You can withdraw it later in the same place.

Tools

The 7 tools, grouped by what they do

Civitatis gives Claude 7 tools: 6 that read your account, 1 that change something in it.

Two groups: six tools that browse the catalogue and one that fills a cart. Civitatis describes each one, and the names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (6)

6 tools

Six tools that browse activities, check slots and plan days without booking anything.

check-availability

Returns the open time slots of one activity on a given date, for the number of travellers you mention. Claude needs the activity's identifier, usually from an earlier search.

When it helps
you want to know whether the Sagrada Familia tour still has room next Saturday for two adults.

Sourcecivitatis-claude-app.civitatis.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

check-availability-batch

Looks at the same date across several activities in a single call, so Claude can tell you at once which of your shortlisted options are still open.

When it helps
three museum visits are on the list for Thursday and you want to see which ones fit before deciding.
Watch out
all the activities share one date in a given call.

get-activity-detail

Opens the full sheet of one activity: images, long description, highlights, cancellation policy, reviews and price.

When it helps
before paying, you check what the food tour includes and how late you can cancel.
Watch out
it needs the numeric activity identifier.

Sourcecivitatis-claude-app.civitatis.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list-activities

Returns a plain-text list of a destination's activities with their numeric identifiers, without any visual widget. Claude uses it behind the scenes to find the right identifier before opening details or planning.

When it helps
you name a tour you already spotted and Claude needs its exact reference.

Sourcecivitatis-claude-app.civitatis.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

search-activities

Browses a destination's activities and shows them as an interactive carousel in the conversation, with category filters such as walking tours, museums, food experiences or free tours.

When it helps
you land in Seville tomorrow and want to see what is on offer before choosing anything.

Sourcecivitatis-claude-app.civitatis.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

suggest-itinerary

Lays out a day-by-day activity plan for a multi-day trip. By default it picks the destination's top-rated activities; you can also name specific tours to include.

When it helps
a family wants five days in Paris mapped out before booking.

What Claude asks for
no source describes a confirmation specific to this tool; the default approval rule below applies.
When it helps
the slot works, and you want to lock it in tonight.
Watch out
adding a second item to the same cart requires both cart references Civitatis returned the first time.

Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on your behalf. Here, the only tool that writes is the cart; everything else only browses the catalogue.

On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organization, for example keeping browsing open and closing writing, and nobody overrides that from their own account. Claude works with the rights of the person connected and nothing beyond them. And whatever Claude does, the purchase itself only happens when you pay on civitatis.com.

Plans

Which plans include it

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows availability by plan. Connector by connector, that answer is published nowhere: it is a real gap in the catalogue.

What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner turns the connector on for the organization before each member connects. For the current state of this one, check its sheet in the official directory, the only place showing it.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing fires when a slot opens up or a price drops.

The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The verification badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not control which tools a publisher exposes. Only Civitatis documents this connector; no Claude help article covers it. To compare with a connector from a very different field, see the Claude activecampaign connector.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Civitatis connector

01What can Claude do with the Civitatis connector?
Claude can help you discover, plan and prepare the booking of tours and activities worldwide. Six tools search a destination's activities as a carousel, list them as plain text, open an activity's full details, check slots for one activity or several on the same date, and suggest a day-by-day itinerary. The seventh adds a chosen session to a Civitatis cart and returns a checkout link. Civitatis documents each of them, so nothing here is guessed.
02Can Claude book and pay for a tour on its own?
Claude can fill a Civitatis cart, but it cannot pay. The add-to-cart tool creates or updates a cart with the session you chose and hands back a secure checkout link, and Civitatis states that the connector never processes payments directly. You complete the purchase on civitatis.com through its own checkout flow. To add a second activity to the same cart, Claude has to pass both references returned by the first add-to-cart call; with only one, Civitatis rejects the request.
03Does Claude ask before adding something to my cart?
Claude's default rule is to ask for confirmation before any action it takes on your behalf. No source describes a confirmation specific to add-to-cart, so that general rule is what applies. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners also decide whether members may let some actions through without a new prompt, and they can close writing for everyone. In any case, the final say stays yours, because payment only happens on Civitatis.
04Which Claude plans include the Civitatis connector?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. Civitatis's documentation names no Claude plan. Only the connector's sheet in the official directory shows its current state for your account.
05Does Claude see my past Civitatis bookings?
None of the seven documented tools reads past bookings. They browse the public catalogue, check availability, plan itineraries and fill a cart, and that is all Civitatis describes. Claude also never works beyond the rights of the person who connected it: what that person cannot reach in the service, Claude cannot reach either. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an owner can go further and close writing for the whole organization. If you need a booking you already made, look it up in your Civitatis account rather than asking Claude for it.
06Which languages and currencies does the Civitatis connector use?
Five languages and three currencies, according to Civitatis. The publisher says the connector replies in the user's language when it is Spanish, English, French, Italian or Portuguese, and that it can show prices in EUR, USD or GBP. Its documentation mentions no other language and no other currency, so do not count on them. Whatever currency the chat shows, the amount that counts is the one on the Civitatis checkout page, where the payment happens. Check it there, together with the cancellation policy shown in the activity details, before you pay.
07Claude or an automation tool for Civitatis bookings?
They answer different needs, so the choice depends on the task rather than on a ranking. Claude suits planning a trip in conversation, comparing activities and preparing a cart, and it only acts while you are talking to it. An automation tool suits repeated jobs that run without you, such as copying each confirmed booking into a travel spreadsheet. A travel desk can use Claude for planning and keep its automations for the paperwork.
