Claude Tixel connectorWhat Claude can do with Tixel.
The Claude Tixel connector exposes 3 tools: 3 read, 0 write. None is left undescribed, and Tixel's own server flags all three as read-only. Below: what Claude can dig up on the marketplace, where it stops once it's time to pay, and the steps Tixel gives to add it.

Why bring Tixel into Claude
Tixel is a fan-to-fan ticket resale marketplace that caps prices near face value. The connector lets you hunt for a gig, festival or game in plain language and line up the available listings. Tixel says every ticket is verified and sellers are identity-checked. Checkout still happens on Tixel.
Track down the show. search_events looks through upcoming concerts, festivals, sports games and shows on Tixel.
Line up the seats. list_event_listings shows the listings for one event: price including the buyer fee, section, number of tickets per listing and a link to buy on tixel.com. Each listing is a block of adjacent seats from a single seller.
Check before you commit. get_listing_details brings back per-seat info, seller details, any restrictions and the venue seat map, once one option deserves a closer look.
Now what the connector doesn't do. By default its sheet only exposes reading: Claude books nothing, pays for nothing and lists nothing for sale. When you're ready to pay, it sends you back to Tixel, where the buyer guarantee applies. And nothing runs on its own: no tool pings you when a seat frees up. Watching for that is an automation tool's job, a different trade; the Integrations hub covers that side.
The jargon, in one minute
Four terms worth knowing before you add Tixel.
- Connector
- The link you add once between Claude and an outside service, so Claude can use it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the ones it needs on its own, and the directory lists them by name.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before finishing something that changes an account, shown in the chat when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on, which is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service.
Add Tixel to Claude in three steps
- 01
Open the connectors list
Tixel publishes its own walkthrough. In Claude, open settings and go to Connectors. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner may need to open the connector for the org before you can use it.
- 02
Add it by its address
Pick Add custom connector and paste the server address Tixel lists on its help page,
https://mcp-v1.tixel.com/mcp. Then follow the prompts to switch it on for your chats. - 03
Run a first search
Start a fresh chat and ask Claude to find an event, browse listings or check a ticket on Tixel. You can switch the connector off or remove it whenever you like from that same Connectors screen.
All 3 tools, every one of them read-only
Tixel gives Claude 3 tools: 3 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
Just one group this time: what Claude looks up on the marketplace. Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them.
- 3 read
What Claude reads (3)
3 toolsThree tools that browse Tixel's catalog without changing anything. Tixel's own server flags them as read-only.
search_events
Combs through upcoming gigs, festivals, games and shows on Tixel and returns the upcoming ones. Each result carries the reference that the next tool uses to fetch that event's tickets.
list_event_listings
Pulls up every listing for one event, with the price including the buyer fee, the section, the seat count and a direct link to finish buying on tixel.com. A listing is always a run of side-by-side seats sold by one person.
get_listing_details
Zooms in on a single listing to show seat-by-seat information, who the seller is, any restrictions and the seat-map image of the venue.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before every action it takes on an account for you. With Tixel, the sheet doesn't expose any action of that kind.
All three tools read the catalog: no source credits them with writing, and none describes a confirmation specific to one of them. Buying doesn't go through Claude at all; it finishes on tixel.com. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners can still restrict what a connector may do across the whole org, and decide whether members can let some actions through without being asked again. That setting applies to everyone.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability, and nobody publishes it connector by connector.
Anthropic's general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner first switches the connector on for the org. For Tixel's current status on your own account, the reference is its sheet in the official directory.
Where this connector stops
A connector isn't an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so nothing fires when a price drops or a seat opens up.
Only Tixel documents this connector, on its help page and in the tool list its server publishes; neither Claude's help center nor Anthropic's docs mention it. A sheet that shows only reading is an observed floor, not a guarantee, since an admin can open more than a public sheet lists. The partner badge isn't a security audit either, and Anthropic notes on every sheet that it doesn't pick a publisher's tools or vouch for how they behave.
