Claude freee connectorWhat Claude can do in your freee account.
The Claude freee connector exposes 13 tools. 7 read, 6 write, 0 left undocumented. Claude reads and records data across freee's back-office products, with your own freee rights. Here: what it can look up, what it can change, what freee asks you to install first, and who can stop it.

What changes for back-office work
freee covers accounting, HR and payroll, invoicing, time tracking, sales and more, each with its own screens. The connector lets you describe the task to Claude instead: it finds the right freee data, reads it, and when you ask, records or corrects entries on your behalf, within the rights your freee login already has.
A trial balance on demand. The founder wants this month's figures before a bank meeting. freee_api_get retrieves the accounting data and Claude lays it out the way you asked, with comments on what stands out.
Book an entry by describing it. Tell Claude about a supplier payment in plain words. It drafts the deal, and freee_api_post registers it in freee. A wrong amount afterwards? freee_api_patch corrects just that field.
Switch between companies without logging out. An accountant handling several clients checks freee_list_companies, then freee_set_current_company points the next requests at the right one.
What it cannot do: freee Sign is not offered through this remote connector yet; freee says remote support is in preparation and only a separate local setup exists. Claude also never exceeds your freee permissions. And nothing runs on its own: no entry is booked when a bank line arrives. For that kind of hands-off routine, an automation tool is the fitting choice, a different job described on our Integrations page. If expenses are first gathered in a shared table, the Claude airtable connector can sit alongside this one.
The vocabulary in one minute
Five words you will run into while connecting freee.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the tools it needs on its own; the directory lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The service's own sign-in and consent screen, where you grant the access Claude will use. Given once per person and revocable.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before doing something that changes your account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as freee.
Plug freee into Claude in three steps
- 01
Find freee in Claude
In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and look for freee in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner must first enable the connector; after that, each member signs in with their own account.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row, then log in on the freee screen that opens and start the app link from there. If the connection breaks, use Disconnect and connect again.
- 03
Approve on freee's screen
Read freee's authorization screen before you allow it. It belongs to freee, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. Once linked, freee shows a confirmation and the list of tools.
The 13 tools, sorted by what they do
freee gives Claude 13 tools: 7 that read your account, 6 that change something in it.
Seven tools read, six change something, either your freee data or the connector's own state. Names stay in English, exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (7)
7 toolsSeven tools that look up data or check the connection without touching anything.
freee_api_get
The main reading tool: it retrieves data from freee's products, deals for example, so Claude can analyse, total or explain it in the chat.
freee_api_list_paths
Returns the list of freee data paths the connector can call, a map Claude consults to find where a given kind of record lives before asking for it.
freee_auth_status
Checks whether the connection to freee is currently authenticated, which tells Claude early on if it needs you to reconnect before going any further.
freee_current_user
Reports the current freee user's information, so Claude knows whose rights it is working with before reading anything sensitive.
freee_get_current_company
Shows which company file the connector is pointed at right now, the one every following request will read from or act on.
freee_list_companies
Lists the companies your freee login gives you access to, so Claude can offer the right one when you mention a client by name.
freee_server_info
Returns information about the freee server that sits behind the connector, a technical snapshot Claude can quote back to you word for word.
What Claude changes (6)
6 toolsSix tools that change something. No source describes a confirmation specific to them: the general approval rule below applies.
freee_api_delete
Approval: see the ruleRemoves a record from freee, a deal for example, identified by its ID in the request.
freee_api_patch
Approval: see the ruleMakes a partial update to an existing record, changing only the fields you name and leaving the rest as it is.
freee_api_post
Approval: see the ruleRecords a new item in freee, a deal, an invoice or an employee-related entry for instance, from what you described in the conversation.
freee_api_put
Approval: see the ruleUpdates an existing record, a deal for instance; freee lists it as the plain update, next to a separate tool for partial updates.
freee_clear_auth
Approval: see the ruleWipes the connector's stored authentication, so the next request needs a fresh sign-in. It touches the connection, not your accounting data.
freee_set_current_company
Approval: see the rulePoints the connector at another company file, so every following request reads or changes that company instead of the previous one. The switch itself leaves your books untouched.
What Claude asks before acting
By default, Claude stops and asks for your confirmation before each action it takes on an account on your behalf. With freee, that matters: six tools can record, correct, replace or delete data, or change the connection itself.
On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether members can let some actions pass without a prompt, and they can restrict what a connector may do for the whole organisation, for instance keeping reads and closing writes. Nobody overrides that from their own account. Claude also works with your rights only: freee says operations stay within the logged-in user's permissions, with nothing beyond them.
Which plans include it
Of the 819 sheets in the official directory, none displays availability by plan. The connector-by-connector answer is published nowhere, a genuine gap in the catalogue.
The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner turns the connector on for the organisation before members can connect. What each freee product lets you do still depends on your freee contract and rights. The connector's sheet in the official directory shows its current state.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing is booked by itself when a receipt or a bank line comes in.
The six changing tools are what the sheet shows today; an admin can open more actions than any public sheet lists. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools. Everything here comes from freee's help article and its official GitHub repository; neither Claude's help centre nor Anthropic's developer docs cover this connector.
