Overview

What the Claude Insider One connector changes for lifecycle marketers

Instead of opening the Insider One panel dashboards for each campaign, you ask Claude how Tuesday's send went. It pulls your email campaign list and analytics on its own, then walks you through them in the conversation. The publisher describes controlled, read-only access that respects your existing permissions.

Find a campaign without digging through the panel. list_email_campaigns gives you the list of your email campaigns so Claude knows which one you mean before it pulls a single figure.

Analyze one specific campaign. Did the spring collection launch land? get_email_campaign_analytics pulls that campaign's analytics and Claude helps you read them.

Step back to the whole channel. Before a monthly review, get_email_overall_analytics returns overall email analytics, so you can place one campaign against the rest.

What Claude does not do with these three tools: by default the sheet exposes nothing to create, edit or send a campaign. The publisher's article describes a wider scope, which the limits section sets against the sheet. Nothing runs on its own either: no report goes out when a campaign ends. For scheduled reporting you need an automation tool, a different job; the Integrations hub covers that side.

Vocabulary

The vocabulary in one minute

Five words you will meet while connecting Insider One.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and a service, so Claude can work with it while it answers you.
Tool
One named capability the connector opens to Claude. Claude picks the ones it needs, and the directory sheet lists them all.
Authorization
The service's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use from then on. Granted once, and taken back the same way.
Directory
Claude's official catalogue: every connector gets a sheet with its publisher, its purpose and the full list of its tools.
MCP
The shared standard behind connectors: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service.
Connect

Connect Insider One to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

Find Insider One in your settings

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and locate Insider One in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it before you can sign in.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Hit Connect on its row, then sign in through the window that the service opens on its own side. If the link ever breaks, use Disconnect and connect it again.

  3. 03

    Review the authorization screen

Read the authorization screen before you accept: it belongs to the service, and it sets what the access covers. You can also revoke that access later from your Insider One account.

Tools

Three read tools, all on the Email channel

Insider One gives Claude 3 tools: 3 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.

All three tools read, and none of them touches your campaigns, your templates or your audience in any way. Names stay as Claude shows them.

Approvals

What Claude asks before it acts

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on an account for you. Insider One spells out how its tools are set in Claude.

According to the publisher, the connector's Tool permissions screen lets read-only tools run automatically, while write tools, which are not on the current sheet, are set to need approval. On Team and Enterprise, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through, and can cap the connector for the whole organization. Claude also works with your access: a tool is only available when the matching scope is part of the credential you generated.

Plans

Which plans it is available on

None of the 819 sheets in the directory shows availability by plan. Connector by connector, that information is not published anywhere: a genuine gap in the catalogue.

The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner turns the connector on for the organization before members can connect. For the current state, check the Insider One sheet in the official directory.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: no analysis fires when a campaign wraps up.

By default the sheet exposes only reads, but that is an observed floor: an admin can open actions that appear on no public sheet, and the publisher does announce more. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says so on every sheet: it does not choose the publisher's tools and does not vouch for their behavior. This connector is documented by its sheet and Insider One's Academy alone. To compare with another connector's page, see the Claude activecampaign connector.

Two official sources disagree

How many tools does the Insider One connector expose to Claude?

What this page followsThe sheet read on October 1, 2026 shows what the public directory lists; Insider One's undated article describes a far wider scope that depends on the scopes you grant. This page documents only the three tools on the sheet. Open Tool permissions on your account and check the directory sheet before counting on any other tool.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Claude Insider One connector

01What can Claude do with the Insider One connector?
Claude can list your Insider One email campaigns and read their analytics. The directory sheet exposes three tools: one returns the campaign list, one the analytics of a specific campaign, and the last the overall analytics of the Email channel. Claude uses them during the conversation to find a campaign, comment on its results or set it against the rest of your sends, without you opening the Insider One panel.
02Can Claude create or send a campaign in Insider One?
Not with the tools on the sheet: by default it exposes only three read tools for email campaigns. Insider One's Academy does describe write tools that create or edit templates and campaigns, set by default to need your approval; per the Academy, Claude then asks you before every write action. They do not appear on the sheet read on October 1, 2026, so check Tool permissions on your account before relying on them for any drafting work at all.
03Does Claude ask before it acts?
By default, Claude asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account for you. Insider One says its read-only tools, including the three on the sheet, can be set to run automatically in Tool permissions, while its write tools need approval by default. On Team and Enterprise, owners decide whether members may let certain actions through without being asked again each time, and that choice applies to everyone.
04Which plans is it available on?
No official source publishes plan availability for this connector, or for any other. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. You also need an OAuth credential generated in your Insider One panel. The directory sheet remains the only up-to-date reference for the Claude side, so check it from your own account first.
05Does Claude see my whole Insider One account?
No. Claude works with your access, and Insider One adds a layer: a tool is only available if the matching channel scope is part of the OAuth credential you generated. One connection covers one panel only; querying several means one connection per panel. The sheet describes the access as controlled and read-only, inside your existing permission and governance models. A Team or Enterprise owner can restrict the connector further for the whole organization.
06Why does the publisher list more tools than the sheet?
The two sources do not describe the same scope. The directory sheet, read on October 1, 2026, lists three read tools for email. Insider One's Academy, undated, announces 30 read-only tools and 8 write or delete tools across the supported channels, depending on the scopes granted. This page documents only the three tools on the sheet; Insider One suggests Refresh tools list to load new ones, and its sheet presents the connector as one whose capabilities expand over time.
07Claude or an automation tool for Insider One?
They do different jobs. Claude reads your analytics when you ask a question and helps you interpret them, inside a conversation. An automation tool is meant to run a task on its own in the background, such as mailing a campaign recap every Monday. The connector never starts anything by itself: it answers when you call on it and watches no campaign between two questions, nor sends any report on its own.
