What changes once Claude can query Jus AI
Instead of opening Jus Mundi, running searches and stitching notes together, you put the research question to Claude and it hands it to Jus AI, the assistant built on Jus Mundi's arbitration database. The answer returns into the conversation with numbered citations pointing at the legal documents it relies on.
Get a cited first answer on a doctrine. An associate preparing a memo asks how tribunals treat proportionality in investment cases: Claude calls legal_research and receives an answer in which every point links to a numbered source, with a short excerpt of the cited text.
Check the path, not just the result. Jus Mundi's reference says the response also lists the research steps taken, so a partner reviewing the memo can see how the answer was built before trusting it.
Keep the sources next to the draft. Each citation carries a document title and a link to it on Jus Mundi, which makes it quick to open the award or treaty itself rather than relying on a summary.
Now the limits. The directory sheet lists one tool only, and it reads: nothing in the sources lets Claude save, annotate or file anything in Jus Mundi. Each request is handled on its own by Jus Mundi, so nothing carries over from one question to the next on their side. And nothing runs by itself: Claude researches only while it answers you. For workflows that should run on a schedule, the Integrations hub covers automation platforms.
Five words before you connect
The vocabulary around this connector, in one minute.
- Connector
- A link you set up once between Claude and an account you hold elsewhere, so Claude can use it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named capability a connector gives Claude. Claude decides by itself when to call it, and the directory sheet lists it by name.
- Authorization
- The sign-in screen of the service, where you grant the access Claude will use. Given once per person, and it can be withdrawn.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before an action that changes an account, displayed in the conversation when it applies.
- MCP
- The common standard connectors rely on: it is what lets an assistant such as Claude exchange with an outside service like Jus AI.
Connect Jus AI to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find the connector in Claude
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and search for Jus AI by Jus Mundi. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it first, then each member connects individually.
- 02
Sign in to Jus Mundi
Click Connect on its row and log in with your Jus Mundi account in the window the service opens. If the link stops working later, Disconnect it and connect again from the same place.
- 03
Check what you authorize
Read the authorization screen before you accept. It is Jus Mundi's screen, not Claude's, and it sets what the access covers. You can withdraw that access later from your Jus Mundi account as well.
The single tool, and what it returns
Jus AI by Jus Mundi (Light Mode) gives Claude 1 tool: 1 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
One research tool, nothing else on the directory sheet. Its name stays exactly as Claude shows it.

What Claude reads (1)
1 toolOne tool that consults Jus AI and changes nothing in your account.
legal_research
Puts your question to Jus AI and returns its answer, written with numbered citation links, plus a list of the documents cited and the research steps behind the reply. Claude can then quote, compare or summarise from there.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude pauses and asks before each action it takes on an account for someone. The prompt appears in the conversation when it is needed.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked every time. They can also restrict what a connector may do for the whole organization, and that setting binds everyone; nobody lifts it from a personal account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected and nothing beyond, so the research reaches only what Jus Mundi grants that person.
Which plans include it
Not one of the 819 sheets in the official directory states its plan availability. That information is published nowhere, connector by connector.
Anthropic publishes the general rule instead: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, while desktop extensions install on Claude Desktop. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can each connect. The connector's sheet in the official directory is the only place showing its current state.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls this tool while it answers you, so no research starts when a new award is published or a case moves.
Only Jus Mundi documents this connector; neither the Claude help center nor Anthropic's developer docs has a page on it. A tool list that shows only reading is an observed floor, not a guarantee: an administrator can open actions that appear on no public sheet. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it neither chooses a publisher's tools nor guarantees their behaviour.
