Overview

Why plug Zacks Data into Claude

Instead of exporting filings into a spreadsheet, you ask for a company's figures in plain language and the connector pulls standardized statements from Zacks Investment Research into the conversation. Zacks returns the numbers as filed; any ratio, growth rate or ranking is worked out from those reported values, not supplied by Zacks.

A peer group at a glance. get_company_snapshot brings headline figures for several companies and periods in one call; ratios and rankings are then worked out from those reported figures.

A model fed with clean history. get_income_statement, get_balance_sheet and get_cash_flow return the three standardized statements, annual or quarterly, laid out period by period, in millions of the reporting currency.

Depth on request. The default is the 4 most recent periods, and Zacks makes up to 40 available, within a beta history of 5 to 10 years.

What it will not do: trade, write anything, or deliver the Zacks Rank, estimates, prices or news, which Zacks lists as coming later. Its sheet only exposes reading by default, and nothing runs on its own when a company files. That kind of watch is an automation tool's job; the Integrations hub covers that side, and the Claude connectors hub lists the others.

Tool
One named action a connector opens to Claude. It picks the ones it needs on its own; the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
The service's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use. Here, it is the Zacks sign-in page.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before going ahead with something that changes an account, shown in the conversation.

Connect

Connect Zacks Data to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

Find Zacks Data in your settings

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and search for Zacks Data. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it for the organization before members can connect individually.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row, then sign in to Zacks in the window that Zacks opens itself. If the link breaks later, Disconnect and connect again; the access can also be withdrawn from the Zacks side.

  3. 03

    Read the Zacks authorization screen

Read the screen before you approve: it belongs to Zacks, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. Zacks describes this sign-in as read-only access to financial data, with no trading and no writes on its side.

Approvals

What Claude asks before it acts

By default, Claude stops and asks you before any action it takes on an account on your behalf. No source describes a confirmation specific to one of these four tools, so that default is what applies.

On Team and Enterprise, owners decide whether members can let some actions through without being asked each time, and they can restrict what a connector may do for the whole organization. That setting applies to everyone. Claude only reaches what your Zacks sign-in gives access to. The official per-tool label, read-only versus write or delete, appears only in a connected account's settings, never on a public page.

Plans

Which plans include it

Out of 819 sheets in the official directory, none shows availability per plan. That information is not published anywhere, connector by connector.

The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile; desktop extensions install on Claude Desktop. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector before members can connect. The connector's sheet in the official directory, opened from your account, is the only place showing its current state.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing starts by itself when a company publishes its results.

Everything here comes from Zacks itself: neither Claude's help center nor Anthropic's developer docs have a page for this connector. The directory badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools nor guarantee their behavior. Zacks also states that the service is informational and is not investment advice. Read the figures as material for your own analysis.

Which Zacks data can Claude read today?

What this page followsWe follow the Zacks page: the sheet's own tool list matches its four statement tools and nothing else. The Zacks Rank, estimates and news are announced, not available yet.

FAQ

Claude Zacks Data connector: common questions

01What can Claude do with the Zacks Data connector?
It can read standardized financial statements from Zacks Investment Research inside the conversation. The four tools cover the income statement, the balance sheet, the cash flow statement and a snapshot of headline figures across several companies and periods. Coverage is about 10,000 North American listed companies, with 5 to 10 years of history in the beta. Zacks returns reported values only, so ratios and growth rates are derived from those numbers rather than delivered.
02Can Claude trade, write or delete anything through Zacks?
No tool on the sheet does that. All four tools read statements, and Zacks describes its sign-in as read-only access with no trading and no writes. Treat this as what the sheet shows by default rather than a promise: an administrator can open capabilities that appear on no public directory sheet, so the list of tools is a floor that was observed on the day it was read, not a ceiling.
03Does Claude ask before using Zacks tools?
No source describes a confirmation for these tools in particular, so Claude's general rule is the one that applies: by default it asks before any action it carries out on an account on your behalf. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether members can let some actions through without being asked again, and they can also restrict what the connector is allowed to do for everyone. Nothing specific to Zacks changes that.
04Which Claude plans include the Zacks Data connector?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and that on Team and Enterprise an Owner or Primary Owner enables each one before members can connect. The connector's directory sheet, opened from your own account, is the only place with its current state.
05Does Claude see my whole Zacks account?
Claude works with the access your Zacks sign-in grants and nothing more, and the four tools only return company financial data. No source mentions portfolios, watchlists or any personal Zacks content being reachable through this connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner can also restrict what the connector may do for the whole organization, and the connection can be cut by disconnecting it in Claude. Zacks itself describes the sign-in as read-only access, with no trading and no writes.
06Why can't Claude find the Zacks Rank or analyst estimates?
Because those datasets are not in the beta yet. The directory sheet mentions the Zacks Rank, estimates and market news, but the Zacks page lists them as coming soon and limits today's service to four statement tools, which matches the tool list on the sheet itself. For now, you get income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and snapshots of reported values, not ratings, forecasts, prices or headlines. Check the Zacks page for updates.
07Claude or an automation tool for Zacks data?
They do different jobs. The connector suits analysis in conversation: you ask for statements, compare companies, and work out ratios from reported figures as the discussion goes. An automation tool fits work that has to run without you, such as pulling the same figures on a schedule into a report, which this connector never does on its own. Choose by the task in front of you rather than by ranking one above the other.
