Overview

What changes once Claude can work in Lindo

Lindo AI is a website builder aimed at agencies. Its connector is a desktop extension for Claude Desktop: once installed, you describe a site or an article in the conversation and Claude asks Lindo to generate it, then can assign it to a client and produce that client's login link, without you switching to the Lindo dashboard.

Spin up a site from a brief. create_website asks Lindo to generate a new website from a text prompt, and list_websites lets Claude check what already exists in the workspace before starting.

Feed the blog. create_blog has Lindo write a post on a given site, while publish_blog puts a static post online from markdown you already have.

Hand the work over to a client. create_client registers the client, assign_website attaches the site to them, generate_magic_link produces their login link and allocate_credits gives them credits to spend.

What Claude cannot do here: the tool called create_page is listed but described by no source, so this page makes no claim about it. Lindo's README also mentions an editing tool absent from the directory sheet. Nothing runs on its own either: generation can be scheduled for later, but only when Claude sets it while answering you. For other integrations, see the Integrations hub.

Vocabulary

Five words before you install

The vocabulary around this connector, briefly.

Connector
A link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have; for Lindo, it takes the form of a desktop extension.
Tool
One named capability the connector hands Claude. Claude picks which to call while answering, and the directory lists them by name.
Authorization
The step where you grant Claude access to the service. Granted once per person and withdrawable; for Lindo it involves an API key.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before doing something that changes an account, displayed in the conversation at that moment.
MCP
The shared standard every connector is built on, which lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service.
Connect

Connect Lindo AI to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

Find Lindo AI in Claude Desktop

Lindo AI is a desktop extension, so it lives in Claude Desktop. Open the settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look it up. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector before members can each use it.

  2. 02

    Set up the connection

Start the install from its row. Lindo's README says the extension expects your Lindo API key, pasted as LINDO_API_KEY; no Lindo-specific source describes Claude Desktop's exact screens for an extension. If the link misbehaves later, Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Know what the key opens

Before you confirm, keep in mind that access runs through your Lindo key: that key, on the Lindo side, not Claude, sets what the extension reaches in your workspace. On Claude's side, approval per action stays the default.

Tools

The 10 tools: 2 read, 7 write, 1 undocumented

Lindo AI gives Claude 10 tools: 2 that read your account, 7 that change something in it, and 1 no official source describes.

Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them. The split comes from Lindo's README, not from the names.

  • 2 read
  • 7 write
  • 1 not documented

What Claude reads (2)

2 tools

Two listing tools that show what is in your workspace without changing it.

list_websites

Returns every website held in your Lindo workspace. Claude reads that list to pick the right site, check names, or spot one that already covers the request.

When it helps
you manage many client sites and need the right one before adding a post to it.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_clients

Brings back all the clients registered in your workspace. Claude finds the record to use there before assigning a site or allocating credits.

When it helps
two clients have similar names and you want to be sure which record to use.

What Claude creates or changes (7)

7 tools

Seven tools that add or publish something in Lindo. No source describes a confirmation for them, so the general approval rule applies.

create_website

Approval: see the rule

Asks Lindo to generate a brand new website with AI from a text prompt you give Claude. The run can also be scheduled for a later date instead of starting right away.

What Claude asks for
no source describes a confirmation for this tool; the general approval rule below applies.
When it helps
a new client signed this morning and you want a first draft site to show them.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

create_blog

Approval: see the rule

Has Lindo write a new blog post with AI on one of your websites. Like site creation, it accepts a future date if you would rather schedule it.

What Claude asks for
the sources stay silent on a confirmation here, so the default rule covers it.
When it helps
a client expects several articles and you would rather schedule their generation for future dates.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

publish_blog

Approval: see the rule

Puts a static blog post live on a site, from markdown content you supply. Unlike the AI writer, this one publishes text you already have.

What Claude asks for
nothing specific is documented, so lean on the general rule further down.
When it helps
a client sent an approved article and it just needs to go online.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

create_client

Approval: see the rule

Registers a new client in your Lindo workspace, the record you will later attach sites and credits to.

What Claude asks for
no tool-level confirmation is described; see the general approval rule.
When it helps
onboarding a customer and setting everything up in the same conversation.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

assign_website

Approval: see the rule

Links an existing website to a client in Lindo, as the README describes it.

What Claude asks for
no source spells out a confirmation, so the default rule applies.
When it helps
a draft built for a prospect becomes a paying client's site.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

allocate_credits

Approval: see the rule

Gives a client a number of Lindo credits to use. The README describes the allocation, not how credits are priced or consumed.

What Claude asks for
no specific confirmation is described; the general rule governs it.
When it helps
a new client account needs a starting balance before its first edits.

Sourcegithub.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

Undocumented (1)

1 tool

Listed in the directory, described nowhere. We do not guess what it does from its name.

create_page

The directory lists this name, and Lindo's README, which describes the other tools one line each, does not include it. No official source describes it, so this page adds nothing more.

Watch out
the general approval rule below covers it like every other tool.
Approvals

What Claude checks with you first

By default, Claude stops and asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account in someone's place.

None of the seven Lindo tools that create or publish has a documented confirmation of its own, so the default rule is what applies to building sites, publishing posts, registering clients, generating login links and allocating credits. On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether members may let some actions run without a prompt each time, and they can restrict a connector for the whole organization. Claude also works with the access of the person who connected it, through that person's Lindo key, and sees nothing more than that key reaches.

Plans

Which plans this works on

Plan availability is published for no individual connector: 0 of the 819 directory sheets shows it.

Anthropic's rule is general. Remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and desktop extensions such as this one install on Claude Desktop. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector before members use it. Lindo's own plan requirement concerns the Lindo side, not Claude. The connector's sheet in the official directory is where its current state appears.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls Lindo while it answers you; a new client signing up or a site going live does not start anything by itself.

Only Lindo documents this connector, through the README of its official package; no Claude help page covers it. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes or guarantee their behavior. Scheduling exists, but Claude has to set it while answering. The sheet's description also mentions creating pages, yet create_page is described in no source.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Lindo AI connector

01What can Claude do with the Lindo AI connector?
With Lindo AI, Claude builds and hands over client websites from the conversation. Its documented tools generate a website from a prompt, list your websites, generate or publish blog posts, create and list clients, assign a site to a client, produce a client login link and allocate credits. Website and blog generation can also be scheduled for later. One more listed tool, create_page, has no description in any source. Everything runs from Claude Desktop.
02Can Claude publish or change things in my Lindo workspace?
Yes. Seven of the ten tools create or change something: a new website, an AI-written post, a published markdown post, a new client, a site assignment, a login link or a credit allocation. Several of these touch your clients directly, not just your own workspace. Two tools only list websites and clients. The tenth tool is undocumented, so nobody can say from the sources whether it reads or writes. Read each confirmation.
03Does Claude ask before it acts in Lindo?
By default, Claude asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account for someone. No source describes a confirmation specific to any Lindo tool, so that default rule is what covers creating sites, publishing posts, registering clients or allocating credits. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may skip the prompt for some actions, and they can block writing for the whole organization while keeping listing open.
04Which plans is Lindo AI available on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. Anthropic's general rule opens remote connectors to all users and installs desktop extensions, such as this one, on Claude Desktop, with an Owner enabling connectors first on Team and Enterprise. Separately, Lindo's README ties the API key to certain Lindo plans. The directory sheet shows the connector's current state for your account.
05Does Claude see every client and site in Lindo?
Claude works with the access of the key used to connect it, and nothing beyond. Through that key it can list the websites and clients of the workspace and act on them with the writing tools. Who can create that key, and on which Lindo plan, is decided on the Lindo side. On top of that, an owner on a Team or Enterprise workspace in Claude can narrow what the connector may do for everyone in the organization.
06Why can't I find Lindo AI in Claude on the web?
Because the directory lists it as a desktop extension that works with Claude Desktop only. It installs and runs there, unlike remote connectors that follow you across the web app and mobile. Lindo's README also expects an API key from your Lindo workspace before the extension can do anything, so install it in Claude Desktop with that key ready rather than looking for it in the browser version of Claude.
07Should I use Claude or an automation tool with Lindo AI?
They do different jobs, so choose by use rather than by ranking. Claude with Lindo fits work you steer in conversation: describe a site, review it, assign it, generate the login link. An automation tool fits steps that must run without anyone asking, such as reacting to a new signup. Lindo can schedule a generation for later, but only when Claude sets that date while answering you; the extension never starts on its own.
