Overview

What changes once Claude can reach RocketReach

Prospecting research usually means one tab for the database, one for your notes and one for the email checker. With the connector, you describe who you are looking for and Claude runs the searches in RocketReach itself, then brings back profiles, company details or a verified address. Searches are free in credits; revealing contact details is not, and the page says what each call costs.

Build a shortlist before spending anything. With person_search and company_search, Claude filters profiles and companies by title, location, industry, size or tech stack. Neither call costs a credit.

Get the contact once the name is right. person_lookup reveals emails and phone numbers for one person and saves them to your contacts list in RocketReach; profile_company_lookup fetches the person and their company in one go.

Check an address before it bounces. email_verify tests one mailbox, and account tells you how many credits you have left before a larger batch.

What the connector does not do: it does not send emails, it does not update a CRM, and nothing runs on a schedule. It answers while you talk to it. If you want new leads pushed into another tool automatically, that is an automation job, a different trade, described on our RocketReach Make integration page. And you need a RocketReach account with API access for any of it.

Vocabulary

Five words before you connect

The vocabulary Claude uses around this connector, in one minute.

Connector
A link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
Tool
One named thing the connector lets Claude do. Claude chooses the tools it needs by itself, and the directory lists them by name.
Authorization
The RocketReach sign-in screen where you hand Claude the access it will use. Given once per person, and it can be taken back.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it does something that changes your account, shown in the chat at the right moment.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as RocketReach.
Connect

Connect RocketReach to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find RocketReach in Claude

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look for RocketReach in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector first; each member then signs in on their own.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on the RocketReach row, then sign in to RocketReach in the window the service opens itself, not inside Claude. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Check what the screen lists before you accept. It belongs to RocketReach, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. You can also withdraw that access later from your RocketReach account.

Tools

The 9 tools, split by what they do

RocketReach gives Claude 9 tools: 7 that read your account, 2 that change something in it.

Two groups: what Claude reads, and what adds to your saved lists. Tool names stay as Claude shows them.

What Claude can read in RocketReach

7 tools

Seven tools that look things up and leave your account as it was. Some still spend credits.

account

Shows the state of your RocketReach account: which plan it runs on, what credit balances remain and where you stand against rate limits. RocketReach lists no credit cost for this check.

When it helps
before asking for a batch of lookups, you want to know whether your remaining credits will cover it.

Sourcedocs.rocketreach.co · September 15, 2026 ↗

check_person_status

Follows up on a person lookup that is still being processed, and tells Claude whether the result is ready. RocketReach charges no credit for polling.

When it helps
a combined person and company request came back with the company side only, and Claude checks when the contact details land.

Sourcedocs.rocketreach.co · September 15, 2026 ↗

ping

A liveness check: Claude calls it to confirm the RocketReach connection answers at all. It returns no business data and costs no credit.

When it helps
every request suddenly fails and you want to know whether the link itself is down before touching anything else.

Sourcedocs.rocketreach.co · September 15, 2026 ↗

profile_company_lookup

Fetches a person's contact details and the full record of their current company in a single request. The company part comes back straight away, while the person part is processed in the background.

When it helps
before a first call, you want the buyer's email and the account's funding and headcount together.
Watch out
it costs 1 lookup credit, 1 export credit and 1 company export credit.

email_verify

Tests whether one email address can actually receive mail: format, whether the domain accepts mail, and a probe of the mailbox on the receiving server.

When it helps
an address copied from an old spreadsheet looks doubtful, and you want to check it before a campaign bounces.
Watch out
it uses 1 verification credit, refunded when the result comes back as unknown.

Approvals

What Claude checks with you first

By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account for someone. No source gives RocketReach a rule of its own.

On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organization, for example leaving reads open and closing writes. Nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude also works with the rights of the person who connected, nothing more: the credits it spends are the ones your account already holds.

Plans

Which plans include it

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. The answer per connector is published nowhere.

The published rule is general: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can each connect. For the live state of this one, check the RocketReach sheet in the official directory.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so nothing runs when a new lead appears or a list changes.

Everything here comes from RocketReach's own documentation and the directory sheet: no Claude help page covers this connector. The badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on each sheet that it neither picks a publisher's tools nor guarantees how they behave. Connect it because you trust RocketReach as a publisher, and remember that its lookups draw on the same credits you use in the app. For other apps, browse our Integrations hub.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude RocketReach connector

01What can Claude do with the RocketReach connector?
Claude can search RocketReach for people and companies, reveal contact details, and verify email addresses from a conversation. Nine tools are listed: two free searches, two lookups that reveal contact details and save the result to your lists, a combined person and company lookup, an email check, an account check, a status poll for lookups in progress, and a simple connection test. All of it runs through your own RocketReach account, which needs API access.
02Can Claude change anything in my RocketReach account?
Only in a narrow way. Two tools, person_lookup and company_lookup, save what they find to your contacts or companies list in RocketReach, and both spend credits. Nothing in the documented set deletes data, sends messages or edits records. Every other tool only reads, whatever you ask. Credits are the real thing to watch: a combined person and company lookup spends three at once, while searches, account checks and status polls cost none.
03Does Claude ask before it spends my credits?
No source describes a confirmation specific to RocketReach, so the default rule applies: Claude asks before an action it takes on an account for someone. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without a prompt each time, and they can restrict the connector to reads for everyone. If credits matter, ask Claude to run searches first and confirm the shortlist before any lookup.
04Which plans is it available on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise workspaces. On the RocketReach side, you need an account with API access. The directory sheet shows the current state for your Claude account.
05Does Claude see everything in my RocketReach account?
Claude works through the account that connected and nothing beyond it. It reaches what that account can reach through RocketReach's API, within its plan and credit balance, and the account check tells Claude exactly where those stand. It cannot borrow a colleague's credits or lists. To cut access, an owner can restrict or remove the connector for the organization, and you can disconnect it yourself from the connector settings in Claude.
06Why does a combined lookup sometimes come back half empty?
Because the two halves do not run at the same pace. In profile_company_lookup, RocketReach resolves the company side immediately, while the person side is processed in the background. Claude can then use check_person_status to see whether the contact details are ready. That status poll costs no credit, unlike the combined lookup itself, which spends 1 lookup credit, 1 export credit and 1 company export credit the moment you run it.
07Claude or an automation tool for RocketReach?
They do different jobs, so it depends on the use. Claude suits research you steer as you go: narrow a list, check a name, verify one address, then decide whether a lookup is worth its credits. It never runs by itself. If you want every new form lead enriched and pushed to your CRM without anyone asking, that is a scheduled flow, which an automation platform is built for and a conversation is not.
