Claude Teamtailor connectorWhat Claude can do in your Teamtailor account.

The Claude Teamtailor connector exposes 45 tools. 26 read your recruiting data, 19 change it (moves, tags, to-dos, questions, job edits). Below: what Claude can see, what it can change once your Company Admin allows it, and who can cut it off.

Verified Trustpilot reviews · AI, automation & growth agency

Overview

What it changes for a recruiting team

Instead of clicking from a job to its pipeline, then to a candidate, their scorecards and their messages, you ask Claude. It reads the same data your Teamtailor login shows, summarises it, and, if your role allows it, carries out the change you ask for. By default, though, Teamtailor only opens reading.

Prepare an interview in two minutes. get_candidate brings back the profile and history, list_scorecards lines up previous evaluations, and get_meeting_event_transcript gives the exact words of the last call.

See where hiring is stuck. get_job_pipeline counts candidates per stage across your open roles, and list_applications pulls the ones waiting in a given stage with a given rating.

Act on what you find. move_application_to_stage moves the finalist to the offer stage, create_todo sets tomorrow's follow-up, and update_job rewrites an ad that is not attracting anyone.

Now what the sheet does not say. Every write depends on your Company Admin: Teamtailor gives all roles read access by default, and Create & modify or Delete must be granted role by role. Claude also cannot create a candidate or add one to a job with the tools listed here, even though Teamtailor's article mentions such actions. And nothing runs on its own: no tool fires when an application arrives. For that, an automation tool does a different job; the Integrations hub covers it.

Vocabulary

The vocabulary in one minute

Five words you will meet while plugging Teamtailor in.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already use, so Claude can work in it while answering.
Tool
One named action a connector opens to Claude. Claude picks the tools it needs by itself; the directory sheet lists them all.
Authorization
The service's own sign-in screen, where you give Claude the access it will use. Granted once per person and revocable.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before finishing something that changes your account, shown in the conversation at that point.
MCP
The common standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service.
Connect

Plug Teamtailor into Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Teamtailor in Claude

In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and find Teamtailor in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it first so each member can then sign in individually.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row, then sign in to Teamtailor in the window Teamtailor opens. If you have several Teamtailor accounts, pick the one to connect. When the link breaks, use Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Go through Teamtailor's authorization screen before clicking to accept. That screen belongs to Teamtailor, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. You can withdraw it later from Teamtailor as well.

Tools

The 45 tools, sorted by what they do

Teamtailor gives Claude 45 tools: 26 that read your account, 19 that change something in it.

Two groups: what Claude reads, and what it changes. Names stay as Claude shows them, in English. Teamtailor itself sorts the writes into Create & modify and Delete access levels.

What Claude reads (26)

26 tools

Twenty-six tools that consult jobs, candidates, meetings and settings without changing anything.

get_application

Opens one application in full: the scorecards filled in by interviewers, internal comments, messages exchanged with the candidate and the activity around it, all in one read.

When it helps
before a debrief, you want the whole picture of one person's application for a given job without clicking through five tabs.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_candidate

Pulls a candidate's profile with their applications, attached files, competencies and recent activity, so Claude can summarise who they are and where they stand.

When it helps
a hiring manager pings you ten minutes before an interview and asks for a quick brief on the person.
Watch out
it shows what your own Teamtailor role lets you see, no more.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_job

Reads a job in detail: the ad content, the application form and the recruitment process attached to it.

When it helps
you want Claude to check how a role is set up (questions asked, stages) before you duplicate the logic for a similar opening.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_job_pipeline

Shows the recruitment pipeline of one or several jobs, with how many candidates sit at each stage.

When it helps
on Monday you ask where your three open developer roles stand and which stage is clogging up.
Watch out
counts reflect the jobs your own role can open, so a colleague may see different totals.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_meeting_event

Gives the details of one meeting with a candidate: participants, and the Co-pilot summaries attached to it.

When it helps
you missed a panel interview and want the gist before the team vote.
Watch out
a summary only shows up where Co-pilot actually produced one for that meeting.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_meeting_event_transcript

Retrieves the full transcript of a recorded candidate meeting, so Claude can quote what was actually said rather than a summary.

When it helps
two interviewers remember an answer differently and you want to check the exact wording.
Watch out
only meetings that produced a transcript in Teamtailor have one to return.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

get_question

Shows a single screening question with its answer options and its translations.

When it helps
you are rolling a job out in another country and want to check the question already exists in the right language before posting.
Watch out
it reads one question at a time; to browse them all, list_questions is the better starting point.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_applications

Lists applications to your jobs and filters them by job, by stage or by rating, which makes shortlists quick to pull.

When it helps
you want every application rated highly for the sales role that is still sitting in the first stage.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_candidates

Searches your candidate base by name, email, tags, status, job, stage and more.

When it helps
a former applicant reapplies under a new email and you want to find their earlier profile by name.
Watch out
results stop at the candidates your Teamtailor permissions let you see, which may not be the whole base.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_comments

Reads the internal comments your team left on a candidate, the notes the candidate never sees.

When it helps
a new recruiter takes over a file and needs the team's past remarks before the next call.
Watch out
these notes are internal; think twice before pasting them into anything a candidate will read.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_custom_fields

Lists the custom fields your account uses and the options each one accepts.

When it helps
before asking Claude to fill a field on a candidate, you check the exact values that field allows so nothing gets rejected.
Watch out
it describes the fields themselves, not the values filled in on a given person or job.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_departments

Returns the list of departments defined in your Teamtailor account.

When it helps
you want to know how the company is split before asking which department has the most open jobs, or before filtering employees by team.
Watch out
it only gives names and structure; to see who works where, list_employees is the one to use.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_divisions

Returns the divisions set up in your account, the second grouping level Teamtailor lists beside departments.

When it helps
in a group with several entities, you check which division a hiring request belongs to before routing it to the right recruiter.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_employees

Lists the people in your Teamtailor account and filters them by role, department, division or location.

When it helps
you need to find which colleague in the Madrid office can sit on an interview panel next week.
Watch out
the list follows your own Teamtailor permissions, so someone else may get a longer one.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_interview_kits

Lists your reusable interview kit templates, the sets of questions and guidance interviewers follow.

When it helps
before opening a new role, you check whether a suitable kit already exists instead of drafting one from scratch.
Watch out
listing a kit does not attach it; that takes add_job_interview_kit and the right access level.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_jobs

Lists jobs and filters them by status or down to the ones you own.

When it helps
you ask Claude which of your drafts were never published.
Watch out
it lists jobs, not their candidates; the pipeline and applications come from other tools.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_locations

Returns the locations recorded in your account, the offices or sites jobs and employees are attached to.

When it helps
you want to check that the new city office already exists as a location before a batch of local roles goes live.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_meetings

Lists upcoming and past meetings with candidates.

When it helps
on Friday you ask for next week's interviews so you can block prep time, or look back at who met a finalist.
Watch out
a meeting's participants and Co-pilot summaries come from get_meeting_event, not from this list.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_messages

Shows the history of messages exchanged with one candidate.

When it helps
a candidate says they never got the offer email and you want to check what was actually sent, and when.
Watch out
it covers one candidate's thread at a time, not your whole inbox.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_questions

Lists the screening questions available in your account.

When it helps
you are building a new application form and want to reuse existing questions rather than end up with near-duplicates.
Watch out
answer options and translations only appear once you open a single question with get_question.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_roles

Returns the user roles defined in your Teamtailor account.

When it helps
you want to see which roles exist before asking your Company Admin to widen what one of them may do through Claude.
Watch out
it names the roles; the access each one has on the assistant side is set by a Company Admin, not here.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_scorecards

Reads the scorecards and evaluations filed for a candidate.

When it helps
the hiring committee meets in an hour and you want Claude to line up each interviewer's scores side by side.
Watch out
what comes back is bounded by what your role is allowed to read on that candidate.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_skills_and_traits

Lists the skills and traits available for scorecards in your account.

When it helps
you are designing the evaluation grid of a new role and want to pick from what already exists.
Watch out
it reads the shared library, not the scorecard of a specific job.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_tags

Lists the tags already used on candidates and jobs.

When it helps
before asking Claude to tag someone, you check the exact spelling your team uses so you do not create a near-duplicate.
Watch out
it returns labels only, not the candidates or jobs wearing them.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_timeline

Walks through a candidate's activity over time.

When it helps
you want to know when a candidate last heard from the team before deciding whether a follow-up is overdue.
Watch out
it follows one candidate; for pending tasks across roles, list_todos gives a broader view.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

list_todos

Lists to-dos across jobs, candidates and applications, so pending follow-ups stop hiding in different screens.

When it helps
at the end of the day you ask what is still open on your plate across every active role.
Watch out
it only reads; ticking a to-do off, or reopening it, goes through complete_todo.

What Claude changes (19)

19 tools

Nineteen tools that edit your account. Each one needs the matching access level on your Teamtailor role, and no source details a confirmation specific to it.

add_job_interview_kit

Approval: see the rule

Attaches an interview kit to a job, or to one stage of it, so interviewers get the right guide at the right moment.

What Claude asks for
your approval under the general rule further down; no source describes a step specific to this tool.
When it helps
a new role opens and you want the standard technical interview kit wired to the second-round stage.
Watch out
Teamtailor only lets it through if your Company Admin gave your role Create & modify access.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

add_job_question

Approval: see the rule

Adds a question to a job's application form.

What Claude asks for
no dedicated confirmation is documented, so Claude follows the default approval rule below.
When it helps
legal asks every new ad to include a work-permit question and you want it added to three open roles.
Watch out
like every write here, it needs a role with Create & modify access, which Teamtailor leaves off until a Company Admin grants it.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

add_job_skill_or_trait

Approval: see the rule

Adds a skill or trait to a job's scorecard, so interviewers rate candidates on it.

What Claude asks for
the default approval rule covers it; no source mentions an extra check.
When it helps
after a hiring mistake, the team wants every future candidate for the role scored on stakeholder communication.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

add_tag

Approval: see the rule

Puts a tag on a candidate or a job.

What Claude asks for
nothing tool-specific is published; the general approval rule applies, as for every change.
When it helps
after a job fair, you ask Claude to tag the fifteen candidates you met there so you can find them later.
Watch out
check the spelling with list_tags first, or you end up with two versions of the same label.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

archive_question

Approval: see the rule

Archives a screening question. Teamtailor files this one under its Delete access level.

What Claude asks for
a confirmation under the default rule; the publisher describes nothing more precise.
When it helps
a question about a discontinued benefit is still lying around and you want it out of the list.
Watch out
it only runs if your role holds Delete access in Teamtailor's settings; unarchive_question brings the question back.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

complete_todo

Approval: see the rule

Marks a to-do as done, or reopens it if it was closed too soon.

What Claude asks for
the default rule below governs it; Teamtailor documents no dedicated prompt.
When it helps
you called back three candidates this morning and want the matching reminders ticked off in one go.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

create_question

Approval: see the rule

Creates a new screening question in your account.

What Claude asks for
Claude goes through the standard approval flow; nothing specific is published for this tool.
When it helps
a new role needs a question about driving licence categories that does not exist yet.
Watch out
it only creates the question; attaching it to a job is a separate step with add_job_question.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

delete_todo

Approval: see the rule

Deletes a to-do. Teamtailor classes this action at the Delete access level.

What Claude asks for
approval follows the general rule; Teamtailor publishes no confirmation specific to deleting a to-do.
When it helps
a role was cancelled and its reminders are now noise in everyone's list.
Watch out
a deleted to-do is gone, not completed; use complete_todo when the task was actually done.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

move_application_to_stage

Approval: see the rule

Moves a candidate to another stage of the recruitment process.

What Claude asks for
it falls under the default approval rule; no step particular to this move is documented.
When it helps
after the final interview, you tell Claude to move the chosen candidate to the offer stage.
Watch out
stage changes can matter to the candidate's experience, so read what Claude proposes before accepting.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

remove_job_interview_kit

Approval: see the rule

Detaches an interview kit from a job.

What Claude asks for
like every write, it goes through the general approval rule; nothing more precise is published.
When it helps
the team switched to a new interview format and the old kit should no longer show up on that role.
Watch out
Teamtailor treats it as a deletion, so your role needs Delete access.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

remove_job_question

Approval: see the rule

Takes a question off a job's application form.

What Claude asks for
expect the general confirmation described in the approvals section; no source details anything else.
When it helps
a question turned out to discourage good applicants and you want it gone from the form.
Watch out
a Delete-level action in Teamtailor, off by default for every role.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

remove_job_skill_or_trait

Approval: see the rule

Removes a skill or trait from a job's scorecard.

What Claude asks for
the approvals section below applies; nothing specific is written for this tool.
When it helps
the scorecard of a role has grown to fifteen criteria and the team wants to trim the ones nobody uses.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

remove_tag

Approval: see the rule

Removes a tag from a candidate or a job.

What Claude asks for
Claude relies on the default confirmation; Teamtailor does not describe one of its own.
When it helps
a candidate was tagged for the wrong campaign and you want the label cleared.
Watch out
filed under Delete access by Teamtailor, so a role limited to Create & modify cannot use it.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

set_custom_field

Approval: see the rule

Sets, updates or clears the value of a custom field on a candidate or a job.

What Claude asks for
governed by the general approval rule; no confirmation specific to custom fields is published.
When it helps
you ask Claude to record the notice period each finalist gave during their interview.
Watch out
check the allowed values with list_custom_fields first so the field accepts what Claude sends.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

update_job

Approval: see the rule

Edits a job's details, such as its title, its description or the settings of its application form.

What Claude asks for
the default rule from the approvals block; the publisher lists no additional check.
When it helps
you ask Claude to rewrite the pitch of a job to make it more engaging.
Watch out
review the new text before accepting.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

update_question

Approval: see the rule

Edits an existing screening question, its wording or its setup, without having to archive it and start over.

What Claude asks for
under the general approval rule; nothing particular is documented for question edits.
When it helps
the wording of a salary-expectation question confuses applicants and you want it clearer.

Sourcesupport.teamtailor.com · September 30, 2026 ↗

Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before any action it takes on an account for you. The prompt shows up in the chat, right when it matters.

Two layers stack here. On the Claude side, Team and Enterprise owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked, and they can cap what a connector may do for the whole organization. On the Teamtailor side, Company Admins choose which roles may connect an assistant and whether each role gets read, Create & modify or Delete access. An action has to pass both your own Teamtailor permissions and that role level. Everything Claude does is logged in Teamtailor's Audit log under your name.

Plans

Which plans it is available on

Of the 819 sheets in the official directory, none shows availability per plan. The per-connector answer is published nowhere: a real gap in the catalogue.

The general rule is public: remote connectors are open to every user on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organization before members can sign in. On Teamtailor's side, the MCP add-on has to be switched on by a Company Admin. For the current state on Claude's side, look at the connector's sheet in the official directory.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing starts when a candidate applies, a stage changes or an interview ends.

The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that appear on no public sheet. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools nor guarantee their behaviour. Teamtailor adds its own disclaimer: it runs the server, not the assistant you connect. Only Teamtailor documents this connector, with no Claude help article. For an HR tool that plays a different role, see the Claude bamboohr connector.

FAQ

FAQ about the Claude Teamtailor connector

01What can Claude do with the Teamtailor connector?
Claude can read and act on your recruiting data in Teamtailor from the chat. Its forty-five listed tools cover jobs and their pipelines, candidates, applications, scorecards, comments, messages, meetings and their transcripts, to-dos and the account structure. On the change side, it can move an application to another stage, edit a job, manage screening questions, tags, custom fields and to-dos, and attach or remove interview kits, skills and questions on a job.
02Can Claude change or delete things in Teamtailor?
Yes, nineteen tools change your account: stage moves, job edits, questions, tags, custom fields, to-dos and job scorecard items, with a few deletions such as removing a tag or deleting a to-do. They only work if your Company Admin granted your role Create & modify, or Delete for removals. By default every role has read access only. None of the listed tools creates a candidate or sends a message to one.
03Does Claude ask before changing something in Teamtailor?
By default, yes: Claude asks for confirmation before any action it takes on an account for you. No source describes a confirmation specific to one Teamtailor tool, so this default rule covers all nineteen writes, from stage moves to deletions. On Team or Enterprise, Claude owners decide whether members can let actions through. On top of that, Teamtailor only lets an action through if your role holds the right access level.
04Which Claude plans is it available on?
No official source publishes availability plan by plan for each connector, and no directory sheet shows it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to every user on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. Separately, Teamtailor requires its MCP add-on to be active on your account. The directory sheet remains the only place with the current Claude-side state for your account.
05Does Claude see every candidate in our Teamtailor account?
No. Teamtailor connects the assistant through your own user account, so Claude sees and does only what you are already allowed to in Teamtailor, further limited by the access level your Company Admin set for your role. A recruiter and a hiring manager will get different answers to the same question. Every action is also recorded in Teamtailor's Audit log under the user it went through, so a manager can trace it later.
06Why does Claude refuse to move a candidate even though I can?
Most likely because your role has read access only on the MCP side. Teamtailor enables read for every role by default; moving an application needs Create & modify, granted by a Company Admin for your role in Teamtailor. If the admin just changed it, Teamtailor notes you may have to re-authenticate or refresh the connection before the new level applies. After that, ask Claude again and approve the move when it asks.
07Claude or an automation tool for Teamtailor?
They do different jobs, so it depends on the task. Claude works in a conversation: you ask, it reads, summarises or makes the change you approved, and nothing else happens once you stop. It does not react on its own when someone applies or an interview is booked. For steps that must fire on those events every time, an automation tool fits. For judgement calls and quick answers about your pipeline, the connector is the right fit.
