Overview

What changes when Claude can reach your Wealthbox

Wealthbox is the CRM many financial advisors run their client relationships in. With the connector, meeting prep and follow-up stop being a tour of tabs. You ask Claude about a client, it reads the record, the notes, the open opportunities and the calendar, and it can log a note, create a task or move a deal forward when you tell it to.

Meeting prep in one question. GetContact pulls up the client record, ListNotes brings back the recent notes, and ListMeetings shows when you meet next, so Claude hands you a short brief before the call.

Follow-up logged before you forget. Right after the meeting, CreateNote records what was discussed, CreateTask sets the follow-up for next month, and UpdateOpportunity moves the deal to its new stage.

Onboarding that keeps moving. CreateWorkflow starts the onboarding process for a new household, and UpdateWorkflowStep advances each step as the paperwork comes in.

Now what it does not do. Wealthbox says Claude can work with your firm's custom objects and fields, but not whether that means reading or changing them, so those eleven tools stay undocumented here, along with thirteen others. Nothing runs by itself either: no tool fires when a client emails or a task falls due. For that kind of background job, see the Wealthbox Make integration.

Vocabulary

The vocabulary in one minute

Five words you will meet while plugging Wealthbox in.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so it can work in that account while it answers you.
Tool
One named action a connector opens to Claude. Claude picks the ones it needs by itself; the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
The service's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use. Given once per person, and you can take it back.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes through with something that changes your account, shown in the chat when it matters.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Wealthbox.
Connect

Plug Wealthbox into Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Wealthbox in Claude

In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and look for Wealthbox in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to switch the connector on first, then each member connects on their own.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row and sign in to Wealthbox in the window Wealthbox opens itself. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and plug it back in from the same row.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Read the screen before you accept. It belongs to Wealthbox, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. You can withdraw that access later from your Wealthbox account as well.

Tools

The 67 Claude Wealthbox connector tools, grouped by what they do

Wealthbox gives Claude 67 tools: 28 that read your account, 15 that change something in it, and 24 no official source describes.

Three groups: what Claude reads, what it changes, and what no official source describes. The names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

  • 24 not documented

What Claude reads (28)

28 tools

Tools that look at contacts, notes, opportunities, projects, workflows, tasks, calendar and your team without touching them.

GetContact

Pulls up the full record of one contact, the complete client file an advisor checks before a meeting.

When it helps
ahead of an annual review you want Claude to summarise a client's record in a few lines.
Watch out
it shows one contact at a time; for a list, the contact search comes first.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetEvent

Reads one calendar event in detail, part of pulling up events and meetings.

When it helps
you want to confirm the time and attendees of Thursday's review meeting.
Watch out
it covers one entry; for the week ahead, the event list is quicker.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetMeeting

Opens one meeting in detail to prepare for it.

When it helps
before a meeting with a couple, you want its details and the client record side by side.
Watch out
Wealthbox tracks meetings apart from calendar events, so ask for the right one.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetNote

Opens a single note in full, one of the two tools Wealthbox ties to looking up notes, when a summary is not enough.

When it helps
a compliance question needs the exact wording of what was noted after a meeting.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetOpportunity

Reads one opportunity in detail, the deal a client conversation is about.

When it helps
before a follow-up call you want the amount and stage of a rollover opportunity.
Watch out
it reads the deal only; advancing it to another stage takes a separate tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetOpportunityPipeline

Reads one pipeline in detail, within the same pipeline review Wealthbox describes, without detailing its output further.

When it helps
you want to see how the insurance pipeline is set up before a quarterly review.
Watch out
one pipeline at a time; the pipeline list gives the overview.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetOpportunityStage

Reads a single pipeline stage, for when one step of the process needs checking on its own.

When it helps
you wonder what a stage called "Paperwork" covers before putting clients there.
Watch out
stage names are your firm's own, so they differ from one Wealthbox account to another.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetProject

Shows one project with its status in detail, where the list only gives the overview.

When it helps
a client asks why their account transfer project is taking time.
Watch out
reading a project is documented; beyond the project list, no other project entry on the sheet is described.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetTask

Brings up one task in detail when the list entry is not enough to act on it.

When it helps
a colleague left a task on your plate and you want the full context.
Watch out
recurring tasks are listed separately on the sheet and are not documented.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetUser

Looks up one Wealthbox user of your firm, part of the team lookups Wealthbox describes.

When it helps
Claude needs to know which advisor owns a record before assigning follow-up work.
Watch out
users are your firm's staff in Wealthbox, not clients.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetWorkflow

Reads one workflow in detail, including where it stands, when a single process needs attention.

When it helps
the onboarding for one household has stalled and you want to see which step it sits on.
Watch out
it shows the running process; advancing it is the job of the step tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

GetWorkflowTemplate

Shows the steps of one workflow template, exactly the kind of question Wealthbox gives as an example.

When it helps
a new associate asks what the annual review template includes, step by step.
Watch out
a template is the model, not a running workflow for a client.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListContacts

Searches your Wealthbox contact list, the households and clients your firm follows, so Claude can find the right person before anything else.

When it helps
a client calls and you only remember the family name and the town.
Watch out
Wealthbox describes a search; how far filters go is not detailed.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListEvents

Pulls up your upcoming calendar events and those tied to a client.

When it helps
you ask what is on your calendar with clients this week.
Watch out
meetings live in their own list in Wealthbox, next to events, so ask for both if needed.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListMeetings

Lists the meetings Wealthbox tracks, alongside calendar events, with the clients they involve.

When it helps
you want every client meeting booked for next week in one list.
Watch out
for the full picture of a day, Claude may need both meetings and events.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListNotes

Looks up the notes attached to a client or a record, the running history of conversations and decisions.

When it helps
you want the last three notes on a client before calling them back.
Watch out
it reads what exists; adding a note is a separate tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListOpportunities

Reviews the deals in your pipeline, the opportunities your firm is working, across their stages.

When it helps
you ask which opportunities sit in the proposal stage right now.
Watch out
it reads the pipeline as it stands; advancing a deal is the job of another tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListOpportunityPipelines

Part of what Wealthbox calls reviewing deals across pipeline stages: it covers the pipelines those deals go through.

When it helps
your firm runs separate pipelines for planning and insurance, and Claude needs to know which is which.
Watch out
Wealthbox groups it with the stage tools under one sentence, without detailing each output.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListOpportunityStages

Lists the stages opportunities pass through, the other half of the pipeline review Wealthbox describes.

When it helps
you want the exact stage names before asking for deals stuck in one of them.
Watch out
stages are defined in Wealthbox; nothing on the sheet documents setting them up.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListProjects

Checks the status of your projects, the multi-step work Wealthbox tracks for a client or the firm.

When it helps
you want every open onboarding project and where each one stands.
Watch out
for one project in detail, Claude then opens it with the single-project tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListTaskCategories

Reviews the task categories your firm uses, so new tasks land in the right one.

When it helps
your firm splits tasks into service, compliance and planning, and Claude should respect that.
Watch out
categories are read here; no documented tool adds a new one.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListTasks

Searches your task list, with due dates and the clients they relate to.

When it helps
you ask which tasks for a given client fall due this week.
Watch out
recurring tasks sit in a separate, undocumented part of the sheet.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListTeams

Finds the teams at your firm and who belongs to them.

When it helps
you ask which team members are on the Planning team.
Watch out
it covers the people at your firm; client households come from the contact tools.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListUsers

Lists the users of your Wealthbox organisation.

When it helps
you want the list of advisors and assistants who can be assigned tasks.
Watch out
these are staff accounts, useful before Claude assigns a task to someone on the team.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListWorkflowSteps

Lists the steps of a workflow, so Claude can tell you what is done and what comes next.

When it helps
you ask what remains before a new client's accounts are fully opened.
Watch out
it tells what is done; marking a step complete takes the advance tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListWorkflowTemplates

Lists the workflow templates of your firm, the reusable processes Wealthbox names in its description of the connector.

When it helps
you want to see which templates exist before starting a new workflow for a client.
Watch out
templates are your firm's models; starting one for a client is a separate tool.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListWorkflows

Checks the workflows under way, the step-by-step processes Wealthbox runs for recurring work.

When it helps
you want to know which client onboarding workflows are still open this month.
Watch out
templates are listed apart; this shows workflows actually under way.

Sourcehelp.wealthbox.com · September 11, 2026 ↗

ListWorkspaces

Returns the workspaces across your Wealthbox organisation.

When it helps
your firm uses separate workspaces for two offices and you need to know which one a record lives in.
Watch out
a record you cannot find may simply sit in another workspace.

What Claude asks for
starting a workflow has no confirmation described for it; the general approval rule decides.
When it helps

Undocumented (24)

24 tools

The directory publishes these names and nothing more. Wealthbox describes families of capabilities without naming tools, and the page does not guess which name does what.

CreateCustomObject

Wealthbox's article says Claude can work with custom objects, but that wording never says whether it reads or changes them, and no source ties it to this name. It stays undocumented here.

Watch out
the general approval rule covers it, like every undocumented tool.

CreateProject

The Wealthbox sentence on projects and workflows mentions checking status and starting new ones without naming a tool, and no source documents this name. Whether it opens anything is left unsaid here. The eleven custom tools aside, it is one of the thirteen other names the sheet leaves unexplained.

Watch out
if Claude calls it, the default confirmation rule is what applies.

CreateTag

Tagging contacts is documented, yet no official text says which tool does it beyond that, and this name has no description of its own. The page does not fill the gap.

Watch out
an organisation owner can still restrict it along with the rest of the connector.

GetCustomFieldValue

Among the eleven custom-field and custom-object names on the sheet, none gets a description of its own. This one included, no official text explains what it returns.

Watch out
treat it under the default approval rule until a source describes it.

GetCustomObject

No sentence from Wealthbox or Anthropic describes this entry. The only related line speaks of working with custom objects in general, which is too vague to classify anything.

Watch out
like the rest of the custom group, it falls under the default confirmation rule.

GetCustomObjectType

Custom object types are specific to each firm, and Wealthbox's documentation does not describe this tool at all. The page records the name and nothing more.

Watch out
an owner can block it for the whole firm together with the connector's other tools.

GetRepeatingTask

Wealthbox's task section covers searching, categories and creating or updating tasks, and never mentions repeating ones; no source documents this name. It sits next to a list counterpart that is just as undocumented.

Watch out
for anything involving recurring tasks, only the general approval rule is on record.

ListComments

Wealthbox describes adding comments to records, not reading them back, and no official text documents this entry. Whether it lists anything is not something the page will assume.

Watch out
until Wealthbox documents it, only the default approval rule frames it.

ListContactSources

Nothing in Wealthbox's Claude article touches on contact sources, and the directory publishes only the name. No source documents it. Any guess about lead origins would be the page's, not Wealthbox's.

Watch out
should Claude reach for it, expect nothing beyond the default confirmation rule.

ListContactTypes

Contact types appear in no official description of this connector; the sheet lists this name without a word of explanation from Wealthbox or Anthropic.

Watch out
organisation-wide restrictions set by an owner apply to it like to any other tool.

ListCustomFieldOptions

Dropdown options of custom fields, if that is what this covers, are not described anywhere official, and the page will not read that meaning into the name. It belongs to the unclassified custom group.

Watch out
no documented behaviour means the default approval rule is the only guide.

ListCustomFieldValues

Wealthbox mentions custom field values in one broad sentence about working with them, with no tool named and no reading or writing specified. This entry therefore stays undocumented.

Watch out
the default approval rule is all the sources allow anyone to say about it.

ListCustomFields

The firm-specific fields Wealthbox advertises are real, but no official source says which tool reads them; this name has no description of its own. It stays unclassified with the rest of that group.

Watch out
the default confirmation rule is the only frame the sources give it.

ListCustomObjectTypes

Just as undocumented as the rest of the custom group, this name comes with no official sentence, and nothing about its output is published.

Watch out
whatever it turns out to do, an owner's restriction on the connector reaches it too.

ListCustomObjects

Wealthbox's broad line on custom objects names no tool, so no source attaches this entry to reading or to anything else. The note stops at that. It stays in the grey zone.

Watch out
if it shows up in a conversation, lean on the general approval rule, nothing more.

ListEventCategories

Event categories are absent from the calendar section of Wealthbox's article, which only speaks of events, meetings and calendar entries. No source documents this name. The page leaves it at that.

Watch out
nothing on record sets a rule for it beyond default approval.

ListRepeatingTasks

Recurring tasks go unmentioned in every official source for this connector, so this entry has no description and no documented behaviour. Its single-item neighbour on the sheet is undocumented too.

Watch out
the sources set no rule for it other than the default confirmation.

ListTags

Wealthbox documents tagging contacts, not consulting the tag list, and no official text describes this entry. Its role is left open here. Nothing more is published about it.

Watch out
an owner who narrows the connector for the organisation narrows this one as well.

SetCustomFieldValue

However explicit the name looks, no official source says what this entry does, and Wealthbox's only related sentence stays at working with custom field values in general. It stays unclassified.

Watch out
a telling name is not documentation; the general approval rule is what governs it.

UpdateCustomObject

The same broad sentence about custom objects covers no named tool, so there is no documented basis for this one either. The page does not guess from its name.

Watch out
whatever the name suggests, only the default approval rule is documented for it.

UpdateMeeting

Wealthbox speaks of creating or updating calendar entries without saying whether meetings count as such, and no source documents this particular name. Only the calendar-entry tool for events is covered.

Watch out
on meetings, the default confirmation rule is the only documented safeguard.

UpdateNote

For notes, Wealthbox documents looking them up and adding new ones, and says nothing about editing; this name is described by no official source.

Watch out
a firm owner's limits on the connector cover this entry along with the others.

UpdateProject

Wealthbox's line on projects covers checking status and starting new ones; no sentence documents this name, and the page leaves it without a description. Projects are documented for reading only.

Watch out
with no description on file, the general approval rule is the only safeguard to cite.

UpdateWorkflow

Advancing workflow steps is documented through another tool; this entry, by contrast, has no official description, and no source says how it relates. The page makes no link itself.

Watch out
do not take it for the step tool; only the default approval rule applies to it.
Approvals

What Claude asks before it acts

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it carries out on an account for you. The request shows up in the conversation, at the moment it matters.

On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked every time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organisation, keeping lookups open and closing writing, for example. That setting applies to everyone and nobody overrides it from their own account. And Claude works with your Wealthbox access and nothing more: Wealthbox itself says you need an account with access to the data you want Claude to use.

Plans

Which plans it is available on

None of the 819 directory sheets shows availability by plan. The answer, connector by connector, is not published anywhere: it is a real gap in the catalogue.

The general rule is published, though. Remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens the connector for the organisation before members can connect individually. For the current state, check Wealthbox's sheet in the official directory. One more point: this connector is documented only by Wealthbox itself, with no Claude help page of its own.

Limits

Where the Claude Wealthbox connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing starts when a client emails, a meeting ends or a task falls due.

The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that appear on no public sheet. The directory's partner badge is not a security audit either, and Anthropic says so on every sheet: it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes and does not guarantee they behave as announced. Plug in only what comes from a publisher you trust. For a firm handling client money, that line matters. Other connectors are gathered on the Integrations hub.

FAQ

Claude Wealthbox connector: frequent questions

01What can Claude do with the Wealthbox connector?
Claude can work on your Wealthbox CRM from a conversation. It searches contacts and opens records, reads notes, reviews opportunities across pipeline stages, checks projects, workflows and workflow templates, searches tasks and categories, pulls up events and meetings, and looks up users, teams and workspaces. On the writing side it creates or updates contacts, opportunities, tasks and calendar entries, adds notes and comments, tags contacts, links related records, starts workflows and advances their steps. Twenty-four other names have no description.
02Can Claude create or change records in Wealthbox?
Yes, fifteen documented tools change your data. Claude can create and update contacts, opportunities, tasks and calendar entries, add notes to a client's record, comment on records, tag contacts, link contacts to other records and manage related-contact relationships, start new workflows and advance workflow steps. Some changes are not covered by any description, such as editing an existing note or changing a project, so do not count on them. Every change stays within what your own Wealthbox access allows.
03Does Claude ask before changing my Wealthbox data?
By default, yes: Claude asks for a confirmation before each action it carries out on an account for you. No source describes a confirmation specific to any Wealthbox tool, so that default rule covers notes, tasks, opportunities and every other change. The approval Wealthbox mentions at setup is a different thing: a one-time grant of read and write access. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners can also let some actions through or close writing for the whole firm.
04Which plans is it available on?
No official source publishes availability by plan for each connector, and none of the directory sheets shows it. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner switching them on first on Team and Enterprise. Wealthbox's sheet in the official directory is the only place showing the current state for your account, so check it there rather than trusting a summary.
05Does Claude see every client in our Wealthbox?
No, Claude reaches only what your own Wealthbox account can open. Wealthbox says you need an account with access to the data you want Claude to use, and each person signs in with their own login, even when the firm enables the connector for everyone. A household your role cannot see stays out of the conversation. On top of this, a Team or Enterprise owner can restrict what the connector may do for the whole firm, and a member cannot lift that alone.
06Why does Claude hesitate with our Wealthbox custom fields?
Because nothing official says what the custom tools do. Wealthbox writes that Claude can work with your firm's custom objects and custom field values, but it never says whether that means reading them, changing them or both, and no tool name is tied to that sentence. The eleven custom tools on the sheet therefore stay undocumented. Claude may still call them, under the default approval rule, but this page will not promise what they return or change.
07Claude or an automation tool for Wealthbox?
They do not answer the same need, so it depends on the task. Claude works inside a conversation: you ask, it reads, logs or updates, and nothing happens once you stop typing. It will not react on its own when a client emails or a task falls due. For something that runs in the background on an event, that is the role of an automation tool. For meeting prep, follow-up notes and pipeline updates on demand, the connector is the right fit.
