What can the Centiment Make integration do for you?

The Centiment Make integration links your Centiment account to Make, a visual tool where you build a scenario: the automation itself, made of modules placed one after the other. Each module is a brick that watches, reads or acts. With Centiment, the main brick watches for new survey responses so the rest of your stack hears about them.

Route fresh answers to your team. Watch New Response Received picks up each new response as a bundle, one item passed to the next module. From there you add a module of another app, a chat tool or a spreadsheet, and the answer lands where people actually read it.

Keep an inventory of your surveys. List Surveys returns the surveys of the account, one bundle each. It is handy when a scenario needs to know which surveys exist before doing anything else, for example to fill a tracking sheet.

Reach what the modules skip. Make an API Call sends a request to any endpoint of the Centiment API with the same connection. It is the way out when the two other modules do not cover your case.

Be aware of one limit: the Make documentation for Centiment is marked as limited, so field details are sparse. The Make troubleshooting guide helps when a run fails. How do you connect Centiment to Make?

Add a Centiment module
In a new scenario, click the +, search for Centiment and pick any of its modules. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your Centiment account linked to Make once, then reused by every Centiment module.

Name the connection
Give the connection a clear name if you like, such as the workspace or the client it belongs to. This step is optional, but it saves guesswork later when several accounts sit side by side in the same Make organization.

Authorize and save
Depending on what Centiment asks, either approve access on the Centiment page that opens or paste the key Centiment gives you. Then click Save. Make can now read your account from every Centiment module in the scenario.

Create the scenario
Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to place the first module on the canvas.

Add the trigger
Search for Centiment, choose Watch New Response Received and click Create a connection if you have not linked your account yet. Fill in the fields Make displays.

Add the API call
Click the + on the right of the trigger and add Make an API Call. Point it at the Centiment endpoint you need and map values from the response bundle.

Test with Run once
Click Run once. Make runs the scenario one time and shows the bundles each module received, so you can check the response data before going live.

Schedule and switch on
Open the clock on the first module. A new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default; adjust it to your plan, then switch the scenario on.

01Is the Centiment Make integration free?

Yes, Centiment is a standard app, so it works on the Make Free plan. That plan gives you 2 active scenarios, a minimum interval of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute, remove the cap on active scenarios and allow 40 minutes of execution. Usage is counted in operations: one operation is one module running on one bundle.

02What do you need to connect Centiment to Make?

A Centiment account and a Make account. The Make documentation lists no specific prerequisite and no official connection steps for Centiment, so the generic flow applies: add a Centiment module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then authorize Make on the Centiment page or paste the key Centiment gives you, and click Save. The connection is then reused by every Centiment module in your scenarios, so you only set it up once.

03Does the Centiment trigger in Make react in real time?

No. Watch New Response Received is a scheduled trigger: Make checks Centiment on the scenario's schedule rather than being called by Centiment the moment a response arrives. A new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default. On the Free plan the shortest interval is 15 minutes, and on paid plans it drops to 1 minute. Responses still arrive in the scenario, just at the next scheduled check rather than instantly.

Use Make an API Call. With it, the scenario can call any endpoint of the Centiment API through the connection you already created, which covers what the trigger and List Surveys do not.
