What does the Engage AI Make integration do?

The Engage AI Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build in Make, send prospects to Engage AI for you. It has two modules, the bricks of a scenario, and both are actions: one saves a prospect, the other asks Engage AI to monitor that prospect's posts. There is no trigger, so another app or a schedule starts the flow.

Feed your prospect list from a form or a CRM. Put the app that collects leads first, then Save a Prospect. Each new lead becomes one bundle, one item passing from module to module, and lands in Engage AI without anyone retyping it.

Follow a prospect's activity right after saving them. Chain Monitor Prospect's Post behind Save a Prospect, so the same person is both stored and followed in one run.

Know the limits before you build. Make's documentation for Engage AI is marked as limited: it lists the two modules but gives no field, no format and no connection details. How do you connect Engage AI to Make?

    Add an Engage AI module

    In your scenario, click the +, search for Engage AI and pick one of its two modules. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your Engage AI account linked to Make once, and every Engage AI module reuses it.

    Name the connection

    Give the connection a name you will recognize later, such as the workspace or the person who owns it. This step is optional, but it saves confusion the day several accounts sit side by side in the same Make organization.

    Authorize and save

    Make then asks you either to approve access on an Engage AI page or to paste a key that Engage AI gives you; the documentation does not say which. Follow what the window shows, then click Save. The connection is ready, and both Engage AI modules will use it.

    Create the scenario

    Open the Scenarios page, click Create a new scenario, then the large +. Since Engage AI has no trigger, the first module comes from the app where your leads live, such as a form tool or a spreadsheet.

    Add Save a Prospect

    Click the + on the right of that first module, search for Engage AI and choose Save a Prospect. Create the connection, then fill its fields by mapping values from the lead that the first module passes along.

    Chain Monitor Prospect's Post

    Add one more module after Save a Prospect and pick Monitor Prospect's Post. It reuses the same connection. Map the prospect details from the earlier modules so Engage AI follows the person you just saved.

    Test with Run once

    Click Run once. Make runs the scenario one time and shows, above each module, the bundles it received. Open them to check that the prospect reached Engage AI with the values you expected.

    Schedule and switch on

    On the first module, open the clock to set the schedule; a new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan cannot go faster. Then switch the scenario on so it keeps working without you.

01Is the Engage AI Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Engage AI is a standard app, so it is available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, runs them at most every 15 minutes, stops each run after 5 minutes and caps transfer at 512 MB. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) remove the cap on active scenarios and let a scenario run as often as every minute. Make counts usage in operations, one per module per bundle. Whatever Engage AI charges for its own account is a separate matter, and this page does not cover it.
02What do you need to connect Engage AI to Make?
An Engage AI account and a Make account are the starting point. The documentation for this app is limited and lists no prerequisite and no dedicated connection steps, so the generic Make flow applies: add an Engage AI module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then either authorize Make on the Engage AI page or paste the key the app provides, and click Save. If a key is requested and you cannot find it, the Engage AI account settings or its support team are the places to ask.
