What can the IPEX Make integration do for you?

The IPEX Make integration links your IPEX account to Make so other tools can create, update, import, read and remove IPEX contacts for you. You build a scenario (the automation itself, a chain of modules) and each module is one brick: here, an action or a search on your contacts.

Clean numbers before they land in IPEX. A lead fills in a form in another app, Validate a Phone Number checks the number it gave, then Create a Contact adds that person to IPEX. Nobody retypes anything.

One place for contact changes. When a customer edits their details in your CRM, Update Contacts carries the change over, and Get a Contact lets you read the IPEX record first when you want to compare.

Bulk moves and cleanup. Import Contacts suits a batch coming from a spreadsheet, while List Contacts and Delete Contacts help you review and prune the list.

What Make does not do here: IPEX has no trigger, so a scenario never starts from an IPEX event, and there is no Make an API Call module to reach anything beyond these 8. The official doc also warns that it was written with AI help and may contain mistakes, so test each module on a sample contact. How do you connect IPEX to Make?

    Create API access in IPEX

    Log in to the IPEX Portal, open For Developers in the main menu and click Create access. Enter your email as Username and your password, then copy the Username and Password that IPEX shows on screen.

    Open the connection window in Make

    In your scenario, add any IPEX module and click Create a connection. A connection is your IPEX account linked to Make once, then reused by every IPEX module. You can type a label in Connection name if you manage several accounts.

    Paste the credentials and save

    Paste the Username and Password you copied from IPEX, or follow the instructions on screen, and save. Make can now read and write your contacts, and the next IPEX modules you add pick this connection from a list.

Your first scenario with IPEX

    Create the scenario

    On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to add the first module. Since IPEX has no trigger, start with the app where your leads come in, such as a form tool.

    Add Validate a Phone Number

    Click the + on the right of the first module, search for IPEX and pick Validate a Phone Number. Link your account with Create a connection, then map the phone number from the lead.

    Click the next + and choose Create a Contact. Fill its fields with values from the earlier modules. Make lists everything they return, so you pick instead of typing.

Yes, on the Make side. IPEX is a standard app, so it works from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, runs them at most every 15 minutes, stops each run after 5 minutes, and caps files at 5 MB and data transfer at 512 MB. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) go down to a 1 minute interval and count usage in operations per month. You still need an active IPEX account, and IPEX sets its own subscription on its pricing page.
02What do you need to connect IPEX to Make?
An active account on the IPEX Portal with API access. In the portal, open For Developers, click Create access, enter your email as Username and your password, then copy the Username and Password that IPEX displays. In Make, add an IPEX module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you like, and paste those two values.
