What you can automate

What can the Keap Make integration do for your pipeline?

The Keap Make integration links your Keap account to Make, a no-code tool where you build scenarios: automations made of a chain of modules, each module being one brick (a trigger, an action or a search). Make notices new contacts, tags, orders or tasks in Keap, then updates contacts, notes, tags and files for you.

Tag-driven follow-up. Watch a Tag spots a chosen tag on any contact, then Create a Task gives a rep the next call to make. Each contact travels as a bundle, one item passed from module to module, and each module run on a bundle is one operation, the unit Make counts on your plan.

Order records your support team can read. Watch New Orders picks up each order, Retrieve an Order fetches its details and Create a Note writes them on the buyer's record.

One entry point for leads. Data from a form in another app goes into Create or Update a Contact, so new and returning people share one module.

Ten triggers are scheduled (Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule) and one, Watch Event, is instant (Keap calls Make through a webhook). The documentation publishes no limits for this app; what the listed modules miss goes through Make an API Call. Keap also has an n8n node: see the Keap n8n integration and the n8n vs Make comparison. New to the editor? The Make training starts from zero.

Connect

How do you connect your Keap account to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a Keap module

In your scenario, click the +, type Keap and pick any module. The panel shows Create a connection: the connection is your Keap account linked to Make once, then reused by every Keap module.

  2. 02

    Name the connection

Make suggests a default name, and this step is optional. Rename it if you run several Keap accounts, say one per brand, so you pick the right one later in the list.

  3. 03

    Authorize and save

Make opens Keap's authorization page, or asks for a key, depending on the method the app uses. Sign in with the Keap user whose data the scenario should reach, approve the access, then click Save.

First scenario

Your first scenario: a follow-up task for every new Keap contact

GoalWhen a new contact appears in Keap, Make creates a follow-up task in Keap.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + in the middle of the editor. This first slot holds the trigger, the module that starts the whole chain.

  2. 02

    Add Watch New Contacts

Search for Keap, pick Watch New Contacts and click Create a connection to link your account. Once connected, Make can read your Keap data and fill its lists for you.

  3. 03

    Add Create a Task

Click the + on the right of the trigger, pick Keap again, then Create a Task. Fill the fields Make shows and map the contact data from the first module into the task.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Add a test contact in Keap, then click Run once. A bubble appears on each module with the bundles it received: open it and check that the task belongs to the right contact.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Open the clock on the first module. A new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, the floor on the Free plan; paid plans go down to 1 minute. Then switch the scenario on.

Triggers

Which Keap events can start a scenario?

11 modules start a scenario when something happens in Keap. A scheduled trigger is checked by Make on the scenario's schedule; an instant one is called by Keap as soon as it happens.

Keap1Watch a Tag

Watch a Tag

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if specific tag was added to any contact.

You pick one tag, and every contact that receives it is handed to your scenario. A tag becomes a switch: someone tags a person in Keap, and the rest of the process follows without another click.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule, so the contact shows up at the next check rather than the moment the tag is applied.
When to use it
reps tag leads by hand after a discovery call and each tag should open a task or a note for the next step.
Watch out
it follows one tag across all contacts; to follow tags on one given contact, Watch New Applied Tags is the right pick.
Keap2Watch Event

Watch Event

Instant trigger

In MakeTriggers when a specified event occurs.

This is the fast lane of the Keap set: Keap reports the event you specify to Make, and the scenario starts with that event's data straight away. It is the only instant trigger among the 11.

How it fires
instant. Keap calls Make through a webhook as soon as the event happens, with no schedule to wait for.
When to use it
a delay would cost you, for example a hot lead that sales should call while the interest is fresh. Pick it too when none of the ten scheduled triggers watches the event you need.
Watch out
choose the event inside the module before you design the rest of the scenario around it.
Keap3Watch New Applied Tags

Watch New Applied Tags

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if a new tag was applied to a specific contact.

Focused on a single contact, this trigger reports each new tag that lands on that person. You follow one account closely instead of one tag across the whole base.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and passes along the tags applied since the previous check.
When to use it
a key account or a partner record matters enough that every tag change on it should reach a manager or another tool.
Watch out
several tags applied between two checks arrive as several bundles, and each bundle costs operations in the modules that follow.
Keap4Watch New Appointments

Watch New Appointments

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new appointment was created.

Freshly booked appointments in Keap flow into your scenario, one bundle per appointment, ready to be copied into another calendar or announced to the team.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule, so an appointment booked just after a check waits for the next one.
When to use it
consultants book their sessions in Keap and the assistant wants each new slot posted in a shared channel or logged elsewhere.
Watch out
several bookings made between two checks arrive together, one bundle each, and the next modules run for every one.
Keap5Watch New Contacts

Watch New Contacts

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new contact was created.

Each person added to your Keap contact list starts the scenario, which makes this the natural entry point for welcome and routing work.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and returns the contacts created since the last check, each as its own bundle.
When to use it
every new contact needs the same first move, such as a follow-up task, a copy in a spreadsheet or a message to the owner.
Watch out
an import of many contacts produces many bundles at the next check, and every module after the trigger runs once per contact.
Keap6Watch New Files

Watch New Files

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new file was created.

Documents newly stored in Keap become the starting point of your scenario, so a contract or a brief never stays hidden in the CRM.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and picks up the files created since the previous check.
When to use it
the team attaches signed agreements in Keap and the office manager wants a copy in the company's storage app or an alert in chat.
Watch out
the trigger gives you the file's record; if a later step needs details about it, Retrieve a File reads its metadata.
Keap7Watch New Notes

Watch New Notes

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new note was created.

Every note written in Keap can travel beyond the CRM: the scenario receives it as soon as Make finds it, text included.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and hands over the notes created since the last check.
When to use it
reps write call summaries in Keap and the account manager wants them echoed in a team channel or archived in a document.
Watch out
a scenario that also runs Create a Note can feed its own trigger; keep notes written by Make apart, or you create a loop.
Keap8Watch New Opportunities

Watch New Opportunities

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new opportunity was created.

New deals opened in Keap reach your scenario one by one, so the pipeline can warn people or update a forecast sheet without manual copying.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and returns the opportunities created since the previous check.
When to use it
a sales lead wants every new opportunity posted to the team with its contact, or added to a reporting table outside Keap.
Watch out
it is built around new deals; for a later look at one of them, Retrieve an Opportunity fetches it again.
Keap9Watch New Orders

Watch New Orders

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new order was created.

Sales recorded in Keap become events your scenario can act on: each new order arrives as a bundle ready for fulfilment or accounting steps.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and returns the orders created since the last check.
When to use it
an online coach sells programs through Keap and wants each purchase to trigger access, a thank-you note on the record or a line in the bookkeeping sheet.
Watch out
to see payments tied to that order, add Retrieve Order Transactions after the trigger.
Keap10Watch New Tasks

Watch New Tasks

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new task was created.

Tasks created in Keap, by a person or by a campaign, can leave the CRM and land in the tool where your team actually plans its day.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and passes along the tasks created since the previous check.
When to use it
a support team runs its day in a project tool and wants each Keap task mirrored there with its due details.
Watch out
a scenario that also runs Create a Task in Keap will pick up its own tasks at the next check, so filter them out.
Keap11Watch Sent Emails

Watch Sent Emails

Scheduled trigger

In MakeChecks if new email was sent.

Emails that went out from Keap feed your scenario, which gives you a trail of outreach you can store, count or report on elsewhere.

How it fires
scheduled. Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule and returns the emails sent since the last check.
When to use it
a marketing manager wants each sent email logged in a spreadsheet next to campaign results, or flagged to the contact's owner.
Watch out
a busy sending day yields a lot of bundles at once, so check the operations it consumes on your plan before you switch the scenario on.
Modules

What can Make do in Keap?

Keap gives you 48 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Keap1

Apply Tags

Action

In MakeApplies a list of tags to a given contact record.

Several tags land on one contact record in a single step, so the profile reflects everything you learned about that person at once.

When to use it
a quiz or a form reveals several interests of one prospect and each interest has its own Keap tag.
Watch out
it works on one contact at a time; to put one tag on many contacts, Apply Tag to Contacts fits better.
Keap2

Apply Tag to Contacts

Action

In MakeApplies a tag to a list of contacts.

One tag, many people: you give Make a list of contacts and they all receive the same Keap tag in one go.

When to use it
after a webinar, everyone on the attendee list should enter the sequence tied to a single tag.
Watch out
build the list first, often with a search such as List Contacts, then map it into this module.
Keap3

Create a Contact

Action

In MakeCreates a new contact in your contact list.

A brand-new record appears in your Keap contact list, filled with data mapped from earlier modules.

When to use it
leads come from a source Keap does not see, like a spreadsheet or an event tool, and you know each one is new.
Watch out
this module always creates; when the person may already exist, Create or Update a Contact avoids a second record.
Keap4

Create a Note

Action

In MakeCreates a new note.

Your team gets a written trace in Keap without typing it, because the text comes straight from the scenario.

When to use it
an order summary or a call recorded in another app should sit where reps actually read, in Keap.
Watch out
map the text from earlier modules instead of typing fixed words, or every note will say the same thing.
Keap5

Create a Task

Action

In MakeCreates a new task.

A to-do shows up in Keap for someone to act on, built from what the scenario has just learned.

When to use it
a new opportunity or a demo request needs a human call, and you want nobody to forget it.
Watch out
each bundle creates one task, so a trigger that returns five contacts at once creates five tasks.
Keap6

Create or Update a Contact

Action

In MakeCreates a new contact or updates a contact in your contact list.

New person or known one, a single module takes care of both cases and keeps your Keap list current.

When to use it
signups arrive from a form, a shop and a partner site, and some people come through more than one of them.
Watch out
prefer it to Create a Contact whenever you cannot be sure the contact is new.
Keap7

Create Tag

Action

In MakeCreates a new tag.

A new label becomes available in your Keap account, ready for later modules to apply to contacts.

When to use it
a product launch or an event is set up in another tool and you want a matching Keap tag without opening the settings by hand.
Watch out
place Apply Tags or Apply Tag to Contacts after it if the new tag should reach people right away.
Keap8

Create Tag Category

Action

In MakeCreates a new tag category.

Your tags gain a new category, a way to group them so a growing tag list stays readable for the team.

When to use it
you open a new line of business or a new season of events and want its tags grouped from the start.
Watch out
it runs rarely compared to other modules, so it often belongs in a small setup scenario rather than a daily flow.
Keap9

Delete an Appointment

Action

In MakeDeletes the specified appointment.

An appointment disappears from Keap without anyone opening the calendar, driven by what happened elsewhere.

When to use it
a client cancels through a form or a booking tool, and the matching Keap slot should free up for someone else.
Watch out
a deletion cannot be undone from the scenario, so test with Run once on a dummy appointment first.
Keap10

Delete Contact

Action

In MakeDeletes the specified contact.

Removing a person from Keap entirely becomes a scenario step instead of a manual chore.

When to use it
a data removal request arrives through a form, and the record must go from the CRM as well.
Watch out
nothing brings the contact back once deleted; add a filter before this module so only the right record reaches it.
Keap11

Delete File

Action

In MakeDeletes the specified file.

Outdated documents leave Keap without a manual cleanup, as soon as the scenario decides they should go.

When to use it
a newer version of a document has been stored somewhere else and the old copy in Keap only confuses the team.
Watch out
if you only need a new version in place, Replace a File keeps the record and swaps the content instead.
Keap12

Delete Note

Action

In MakeDeletes a note.

A note you no longer want on a Keap record goes away, handled by the scenario rather than by a rep searching for it.

When to use it
a scenario posted a temporary note, such as a pending status, and it should vanish once the matter is closed.
Watch out
the module needs the exact note; find it with List Notes or Retrieve a Note before deleting.
Keap13

Delete Task

Action

In MakePermanently deletes a specified task.

Tasks that lost their purpose get cleared from Keap, which keeps the reps' to-do lists honest.

When to use it
a deal is lost or a client already replied, and the follow-up task created earlier no longer makes sense.
Watch out
the deletion is permanent; if the task only needs a new date or text, Update Task is the safer choice.
Keap14

Make an API Call

Action

In MakePerforms an arbitrary authorized API call.

Any part of the Keap API opens up to your scenario, with the same connection as the other Keap modules.

When to use it
the 59 listed modules do not cover the object or the action you need, and the API does.
Watch out
you write the request yourself, so this is the one Keap module that asks you to read Keap's API documentation.
Keap15

Remove Applied Tags

Action

In MakeRemoves a list of tags from the given contact.

Several tags come off one contact in a single step, so a profile stops sending the wrong signals to your campaigns.

When to use it
a prospect becomes a customer and the prospect-stage tags should drop at the moment of purchase.
Watch out
it handles one contact; to remove one tag from a whole group, Remove Tag from Contacts is the match.
Keap16

Remove Tag from Contacts

Action

In MakeRemoves a tag from a list of contacts.

A single tag leaves a whole list of contacts at once, handy when a segment has served its purpose.

When to use it
a promotion ends and everyone tagged for it should leave the related sequence.
Watch out
gather the list first, for example with List Tagged Contacts, then map it into this module.
Keap17

Replace a File

Action

In MakeUploads a file to replace an existing one.

A document stored in Keap gets its new version uploaded in place of the old one, so the record keeps a single current copy.

When to use it
a price list or a contract template is updated in another app and Keap should hold the latest file.
Watch out
the Free plan handles files up to 5 MB, a ceiling to keep in mind for heavy documents.
Keap18

Retrieve a Contact

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single contact.

The full record of one Keap contact becomes available to the next modules of the scenario.

When to use it
an earlier module points to a contact and a later step, such as a personalised message, needs the person's full details.
Watch out
it reads one known contact; to look someone up by email or name, List Contacts is the module.
Keap19

Retrieve a File

Action

In MakeRetrieves metadata about a specific file.

Details about one stored document come back to the scenario: its metadata, rather than the file itself.

When to use it
a scenario must decide what to do with a file, for example where to archive it, based on what Keap knows about it.
Watch out
it describes the file; do not expect it to hand over content for another app to store.
Keap20

Retrieve an Appointment

Action

In MakeRetrieves a specific appointment belonging to you.

One specific appointment from your Keap calendar is read back, so later steps can use its details.

When to use it
before sending a reminder from another tool, the scenario checks the appointment still exists and grabs its information.
Watch out
it only returns appointments belonging to you, the connected user; to scan the calendar, use List Appointments.
Keap21

Retrieve an Opportunity

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single opportunity.

A single deal comes back with its current details, useful when a scenario needs a fresh look at it.

When to use it
a trigger reports a new opportunity, and a later step should read it again before posting it to the sales channel.
Watch out
it reads one deal you already identify; to browse the pipeline, List Opportunities returns them all.
Keap22

Retrieve an Order

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single order.

One Keap order is read in full, so invoicing or fulfilment steps work from its complete details.

When to use it
Watch New Orders fires and the next module, a spreadsheet or an accounting app, needs the order's details.
Watch out
the payments tied to the order are a separate read, done by Retrieve Order Transactions.
Keap23

Retrieve a Note

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single note.

The text and details of a single Keap note return to your scenario, ready to be copied or checked.

When to use it
a rep's note should be reposted in a team chat or attached to a ticket in another tool.
Watch out
it needs the note's reference; without it, start with List Notes and narrow down.
Keap24

Retrieve a Tag

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single tag.

Information about one tag comes back, so the scenario can work with its real name instead of a bare reference.

When to use it
Watch New Applied Tags reports a tag, and the message you send to a manager should read clearly.
Watch out
it reads a known tag; to see the whole list defined in Keap, List Tags is the right search.
Keap25

Retrieve a Task

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single task.

One task's current state is fetched from Keap, which lets a scenario confirm a follow-up still stands.

When to use it
before chasing a colleague in chat, the scenario checks that the Keap task is still open.
Watch out
to change what it finds, pair it with Update Task; this module only reads.
Keap26

Retrieve Product

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single product from your Infusionsoft account.

Details of one product from your Keap catalog return to the scenario for pricing pages, sheets or messages.

When to use it
an order mentions a product, and the confirmation you send from another app should describe it properly.
Watch out
it targets one product you already identify; the whole catalog comes from List Products instead.
Keap27

Retrieve Transaction

Action

In MakeRetrieves a single transaction.

A single payment record from Keap is read back, giving accounting steps the exact data they need.

When to use it
a bookkeeper wants each payment copied into the accounting tool with the right figures.
Watch out
it reads one known transaction; for all payments of a contact, List Transactions returns several bundles.
Keap28

Update a Contact

Action

In MakeUpdates a contact with only the values provided in the request.

Only the values you fill in change on the Keap record; everything else stays as it was.

When to use it
a customer updates a phone number in a portal or a form, and Keap should follow without anyone retyping it.
Watch out
leave empty any field you do not mean to touch, since the module sends just what you provide.
Keap29

Update Task

Action

In MakeUpdates a task with only the values provided in the request.

An existing Keap task gets new values while the rest of it stays untouched.

When to use it
a meeting moves in another tool and the matching follow-up task in Keap should move with it.
Watch out
it needs the task to update; find it first with a search or keep its reference from the module that created it.
Keap30

Upload a File

Action

In MakeUploads a File.

A file produced or received elsewhere gets stored in Keap, where the team finds it next to the client's data.

When to use it
a signed quote comes back from an e-signature tool and belongs in the CRM.
Watch out
the Free plan caps files at 5 MB, and replacing an existing document is the job of Replace a File.
Keap31

List All Emails Sent

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of emails that have been sent.

You get the emails your Keap account has sent, one bundle each, to count, archive or analyse elsewhere.

When to use it
a marketing lead builds a report on outreach volume in a spreadsheet.
Watch out
a search returns zero, one or many bundles, and every following module runs once per email, so operations add up.
Keap32

List Applied Tags

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of tags applied to a given contact.

The full set of tags on one contact comes back, so a scenario can decide what to do based on the profile.

When to use it
before sending an offer from another tool, you check that the contact does not already carry a customer tag.
Watch out
tags come back as separate bundles; aggregate them if one later step needs them together.
Keap33

List Appointments

Search

In MakeRetrieves all your appointments.

Your appointments in Keap return as a list the scenario can go through one by one.

When to use it
a coach wants the upcoming bookings exported to a shared sheet for an assistant.
Watch out
Keap returns the appointments of the connected user, so connect with the account whose calendar you want.
Keap34

List Campaigns

Search

In MakeRetrieves all your campaigns.

All your Keap campaigns come back, a quick way to feed a dashboard or check what exists before a scenario acts.

When to use it
a marketing team keeps an inventory of active sequences in a shared table outside Keap.
Watch out
each campaign is a bundle, so place a filter after it if only some of them matter.
Keap35

List Contacts

Search

In MakeRetrieves all your contacts optionally filtered by email, first name and last name.

Contacts come back from Keap, with an optional filter on email, first name or last name to narrow the search.

When to use it
a form in another app gives you an email and you need the matching Keap person before tagging them.
Watch out
without a filter you get the whole base, and every later module runs once per contact.
Keap36

List Custom Fields of Contacts

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of custom fields for contacts.

You see which custom fields your Keap contacts carry, the extra fields your account added beyond the standard ones.

When to use it
you plan a scenario that fills custom fields and want to confirm what exists first.
Watch out
this module reads the list of fields, not their values on any given contact.
Keap37

List Emails sent to Contact

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of emails that have been sent to a contact.

The history of emails sent to one contact returns to the scenario, handy for a quick context check.

When to use it
before a rep calls, the scenario posts a digest of what the prospect has received so far.
Watch out
it covers one person; for the whole account's sending, List All Emails Sent is the broader search.
Keap38

List Files

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all files.

Every file stored in Keap comes back as a list, ready for an audit or a bulk export to another storage app.

When to use it
an office manager moves documents out of Keap into the company's file storage.
Watch out
the list can be long; put a filter before the modules that act on each file.
Keap39

List Notes

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all notes.

All notes stored in Keap return, which opens the door to archiving or searching them outside the CRM.

When to use it
a manager wants every rep's notes gathered in a document to review client feedback.
Watch out
one bundle per note means many operations downstream; filter early to keep only what you need.
Keap40

List Opportunities

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all opportunities.

Your whole Keap pipeline comes back as a list of opportunities, each one a bundle for the next module.

When to use it
a sales director wants a forecast sheet rebuilt from Keap before a pipeline review.
Watch out
to act on a single deal you already know, Retrieve an Opportunity is lighter.
Keap41

List Orders

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all orders using the specified search criteria.

You get the Keap orders that match your search criteria, each as its own bundle, ready to fill a sales table or a report. No match simply means zero bundles, not an error.

When to use it
you need several orders at once, for example to rebuild a sales table; for one order you already know, Retrieve an Order is enough.
Watch out
every order found runs the following modules once, so a wide search multiplies the operations counted on your plan.
Keap42

List Products

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all products.

You get your whole Keap product catalogue, one bundle per product, so another tool can mirror it or a later step can pick the right item by its name.

When to use it
you want the full catalogue, for example to keep a price sheet in step with Keap; for one product you already know, Retrieve Product is lighter.
Watch out
every product returned runs each module placed after it once, and each run is an operation.
Keap43

List Tagged Contacts

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of contacts that have the given tag applied.

You get every contact that carries the tag you choose, one bundle each: the shortest route from a Keap segment to an export, a mailing in another tool or a batch of follow-up tasks.

When to use it
the tag already defines your audience, such as webinar attendees, and you want to act on all of them in one run.
Watch out
it reads who has the tag right now; to react when a tag gets added, the Watch a Tag trigger fits better.
Keap44

List Tags

Search

In MakeRetrieve a list of tags defined in the application.

You get the list of tags defined in your Keap account, so the scenario can find a tag by its name instead of you looking it up in Keap by hand.

When to use it
just before Apply Tags or Remove Applied Tags, when the incoming data only knows the tag's name.
Watch out
it lists the account's tags, not those on a given contact; that job belongs to List Applied Tags.
Keap45

List Tasks

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all tasks using the specified search criteria

You get the Keap tasks that fit your search criteria, one bundle each, ready for a team digest, a dashboard or a chat message. Nobody has to open the CRM to see what is pending.

When to use it
you need a batch of tasks; for one task you already know, Retrieve Task gives the detail directly.
Watch out
click Run once first and read the bundles, since loose criteria can return far more tasks than expected.
Keap46

List Transactions

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list transactions for a given contact.

You get one contact's Keap transactions, each as a separate bundle, to show a payment history in a support tool or check what a customer has already paid.

When to use it
the question starts from a person; when it starts from an order, Retrieve Order Transactions is the right entry point.
Watch out
the module needs to know which contact, so place List Contacts or a trigger that returns the contact before it.
Keap47

Retrieve Commissions

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of commissions based on affiliate or date range.

You get your affiliates' commissions out of Keap, filtered by affiliate or by date range, ready to feed a payout sheet or an accounting tool. Its name says retrieve, but it works like a search and can return several results.

When to use it
you run an affiliate programme in Keap and want its figures outside the CRM.
Watch out
each commission is a bundle, so add an aggregator if the next step expects one total rather than one line per commission.
Keap48

Retrieve Order Transactions

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of all transactions on a given order using the specified search criteria.

You get the transactions attached to one order, filtered by your criteria, which tells you quickly whether money came in for it.

When to use it
right after Watch New Orders or Retrieve an Order, to check the payment side before shipping or granting access.
Watch out
an order with no transaction returns zero bundles, so plan a route for that case instead of assuming a result.

FAQ

Questions about the Keap Make integration

01Is the Keap Make integration free?
Yes, Keap is a standard app in Make, available from the Free plan. That plan lets you keep 2 active scenarios, runs scheduled scenarios at most every 15 minutes, stops a run after 5 minutes and handles files up to 5 MB, with 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) drop the interval to 1 minute, remove the cap on active scenarios and allow 40 minutes per run. Usage is counted in operations per month. Keap's own subscription is a separate matter this page does not cover.
02What do you need to connect Keap to Make?
A Keap account and a Make account. The documentation lists no other prerequisite. You add any Keap module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, authorize Make on Keap's page or paste the key Keap gives you, then click Save. That single connection then serves all 59 Keap modules, so you do it once. Sign in with the Keap user whose data the scenario should read, because some modules, such as Retrieve an Appointment, return only records that belong to the connected user.
03Does the Keap trigger react instantly in Make?
It depends on the trigger. Watch Event is instant: Keap calls Make through a webhook as soon as the chosen event happens. The ten others, such as Watch New Contacts or Watch New Orders, are scheduled: Make checks Keap on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes by default, which is also the Free plan minimum. On a paid plan you can go down to 1 minute. When speed matters, look first at whether Watch Event covers your case.
04What if the Keap module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. It sends a request to any endpoint of the Keap API with the connection you already set up, so you are not limited to the 30 actions and 18 searches on the list. You write the request yourself, which means reading Keap's API documentation. The documentation publishes no specific limits for this app, so there is no quota to plan around beyond the rules of your Make plan.
05Make or n8n for Keap?
Both can connect Keap. In Make you get 59 ready-made modules, including 11 triggers, and Make an API Call for the rest; n8n has a Keap node with its own page on this site. No tool wins by default for this app. The practical criterion is where your other automations already run and which editor your team knows, since a Keap scenario usually talks to other apps. The n8n vs Make comparison linked above lays out the differences between the two tools.
