What you can automate

What can the ManagoAI Make integration do for you?

The ManagoAI Make integration links your ManagoAI account to Make, a visual tool where you build a scenario (an automation made of bricks called modules). Each module does one job in ManagoAI: file a contact, log a task, send a message. You arrange them once, and Make repeats the work for you.

Leads that land in the right place. A form or a store in another app collects a new signup, Create a Contact adds that person to ManagoAI, and Add a Task reminds a salesperson to call back. Nobody retypes a thing.

A welcome message that goes out by itself. Put Send an Email or Send an SMS right after Create a Contact in the same scenario, so a new customer hears from you in the very run that files their record.

A cleaner database. List Contacts pulls a batch of records, then Update a Contact or Add a Note keeps each one current with what happened in your other tools.

What Make won't do here: ManagoAI has no trigger module in Make, so ManagoAI itself can't start a scenario. The flow begins on a schedule or on an event from another app. If you're also looking at n8n, the n8n vs Make comparison sets out how the two tools differ. Connect

How do you connect ManagoAI to Make?

  1. 01

Copy your API keys from ManagoAI

Log in to ManagoAI, click the Menu icon in the top-left corner and open Integration Center > API. Copy the Endpoint, Client ID and API Secret, and keep them somewhere safe for the next step.

  2. 02

    Open a connection in Make

In your scenario, add any ManagoAI module and click Create a connection. A connection is your ManagoAI account linked to Make once, then reused by every ManagoAI module. Give it a clear name in Connection name if you like.

  3. 03

    Paste the values and save

Paste the three values into Endpoint, Client ID and API Secret, then type your ManagoAI login email in Owner. Click Save. If ManagoAI asks you to authenticate and confirm access, accept it and you're connected.

First scenario

Your first scenario: turn a new lead into a ManagoAI contact with a follow-up task

GoalWhen a new lead shows up in another app, Make creates the contact in ManagoAI and adds a task to follow up.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big +. The first module is the one that starts everything: pick the trigger of the app where your leads arrive, such as your form tool.

  2. 02

    Add Create a Contact

Click the + to the right of that first module, search for ManagoAI and choose Create a Contact. Select your connection, then map the lead's details from the previous module into the contact fields Make shows you.

  3. 03

    Chain Add a Task

Add one more ManagoAI module, Add a Task, and describe the follow-up. If the task fields let you pick a contact, map the one created one step earlier so the task sits on the right person.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once and send a test lead through. Make runs the scenario one time and shows the bundles (the items passed from module to module) each step received, so you can check the new contact in ManagoAI.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch it on

If your first module is a scheduled trigger, open its clock to set how often Make checks for new leads; a new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default. Then switch the scenario on and let it work in the background.

Modules

What each ManagoAI module does in Make

ManagoAI gives you 13 modules in 6 groups. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Contacts

5 modules
ManagoAI1

List Contacts

SearchIn the docs only

You get a batch of ManagoAI contacts to work through, one bundle per person, ready for the modules that follow. It is the only search module of the app.

When to use it
you want to act on many records at once, like tagging every contact with a note after a campaign.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles, and each module after it runs once per contact, which adds operations to your plan.
ManagoAI2

Get a Contact

ActionIn the docs only

This pulls one specific ManagoAI contact into your scenario so its details can feed an email, an SMS or a record in another tool.

When to use it
you already know which person you need and want their current data before sending them something personal.
Watch out
for a group of people, reach for List Contacts instead; Get a Contact is built around a single record.
ManagoAI3

Create a Contact

ActionIn the docs only

New people land in ManagoAI without anyone typing them in: a signup from a form, a buyer from your store or an attendee from an event app becomes a contact.

When to use it
right after the module that captures the lead, as the first ManagoAI step of the flow.
Watch out
test with Run once and check the result in ManagoAI before switching on, so a mapping mistake doesn't repeat on every new lead.
ManagoAI4

Update a Contact

ActionIn the docs only

Keeps an existing ManagoAI record in step with what changes elsewhere, such as details corrected in a support ticket or a form.

When to use it
the person is already in ManagoAI and only some details need to move, so creating a second record would be a mistake.
Watch out
place Get a Contact or List Contacts before it so the scenario edits the right person.
ManagoAI5

Delete a Contact

ActionIn the docs only

Removes a contact from ManagoAI automatically, which helps when a customer asks to be erased or a record came in by mistake.

When to use it
another system is the source of truth for who should stay, and ManagoAI must follow its removals.
Watch out
treat the deletion as permanent. Run it once on a test contact and add a filter in front so only the intended people reach this module.

Notes

1 module
ManagoAI6

Add a Note

ActionIn the docs only

Leaves a written trace on a ManagoAI contact, so your team sees what happened in other tools without leaving the CRM: a call summary, a refund, a form answer.

When to use it
the information matters for context but doesn't belong in a contact field or call for an action.
Watch out
each run adds a new note, so a scenario that fires twice on the same event leaves two identical entries.

Tasks

3 modules
ManagoAI7

Add a Task

ActionIn the docs only

Puts a to-do in ManagoAI for a follow-up that a person has to handle, such as calling back a hot lead or checking an unpaid order.

When to use it
something upstream calls for human judgment, and you want it logged where your sales team already works rather than lost in an inbox.
Watch out
if the module lets you link a contact, map the one created or found earlier in the scenario, otherwise the task may sit alone in the account.
ManagoAI8

Update a Task

ActionIn the docs only

Changes a ManagoAI task that already exists, so its details stay accurate when the situation moves on elsewhere.

When to use it
a deal closes or an appointment shifts in another app, and the matching task should reflect it instead of nagging someone for nothing.
Watch out
the scenario has to know which task to change, so map the task from an earlier module rather than guessing which one to touch.
ManagoAI9

Delete a Task

ActionIn the docs only

Clears a ManagoAI task that no longer makes sense, which keeps your team's to-do list short and honest.

When to use it
the reason for the task disappeared, like a lead that booked a meeting on their own before anyone called.
Watch out
treat the removal as final; if you want to keep a history, Update a Task can record the change instead.

Emails

2 modules
ManagoAI10

Send an Email

ActionIn the docs only

Sends an email from ManagoAI, triggered by an event in any app connected to Make, so the message goes out while the moment is still fresh.

When to use it
a welcome message after signup, a confirmation after a purchase, a reminder before a meeting.
Watch out
run the scenario once with your own address as the recipient before switching it on, so a wrong mapping never reaches real customers.
ManagoAI11

Send an Email with Attachment

ActionIn the docs only

Same result as Send an Email, with a file joined to the message: an invoice, a brochure, a signed contract produced by another module.

When to use it
the document is the point of the email and the recipient needs it in hand.
Watch out
the file must come from an earlier module in the scenario, and on the Make Free plan files are capped at 5 MB.

SMSes

1 module
ManagoAI12

Send an SMS

ActionIn the docs only

Reaches a contact on their phone through ManagoAI, for messages that should be read quickly rather than sit in a mailbox.

When to use it
short, time-sensitive notices such as a delivery update, an appointment reminder or a code for an event.
Watch out
text messages go straight to a personal device, so filter the flow to people who agreed to hear from you that way.

Other

1 module
ManagoAI13

Make an API Call

ActionIn the docs only

Opens the whole ManagoAI API to your scenario, reusing the connection you already set up, for anything the other 12 modules don't cover.

When to use it
you need a ManagoAI feature that has no dedicated module in Make.
Watch out
you describe the request yourself, so keep the ManagoAI API documentation open and test with Run once before relying on the result.

FAQ

ManagoAI and Make: common questions

01Is the ManagoAI Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. ManagoAI is a standard app, so its modules work from the Make Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run and files up to 5 MB. Paid plans drop the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Keep in mind that ManagoAI itself asks for a paid account before Make can connect to it, so the integration is only free on one of the two sides.
02What do you need to connect ManagoAI to Make?
You need a paid ManagoAI account and a Make account. In ManagoAI, open the Menu icon, then Integration Center and API, and copy the Endpoint, Client ID and API Secret. In Make, add a ManagoAI module, click Create a connection, paste the three values, enter your ManagoAI login email in the Owner field and save. If ManagoAI asks you to authenticate and confirm access, accept. After that, every ManagoAI module in your scenarios reuses the same connection.
03Can a ManagoAI event start a Make scenario in real time?
No. ManagoAI has no trigger module in Make, so nothing in ManagoAI can start a scenario by itself. You start the flow another way: with an instant trigger from a different app, such as a form tool that calls Make when someone signs up, or with a schedule on the first module. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default; the Free plan keeps that as the minimum, while paid plans go down to 1 minute. The ManagoAI modules then run as steps later in the flow.
04What if a ManagoAI action is missing from Make?
Use Make an API Call. It is part of the ManagoAI app in Make and lets the scenario call any endpoint of the ManagoAI API with the connection you already have. That covers the features without a dedicated module among the 13 listed. You write the request yourself, so keep the ManagoAI API documentation at hand and test with Run once. The Make documentation lists no numeric limits for the ManagoAI app, so there is no published cap to plan around.
05Make or n8n for ManagoAI?
It depends on what you need to cover. In Make, ManagoAI comes with 13 modules for contacts, notes, tasks, emails and SMS, plus Make an API Call for anything else, all set up in a visual editor. If you are also considering n8n, check whether it offers a ManagoAI node and which operations that node covers, then compare it with the list on this page. Choose the tool whose ManagoAI coverage matches your scenario, rather than a general ranking of the two.
